Review Kiwi Kai Ltd - Whangarei

We had our Matariki Celebration catered for by Traditional Kiwi Kai. It was delicious, large portion size for adults and they did servings for our tamariki, and the fry bread... the best! Our whānau kept coming back for more. Highly recommend if you need catering, easy and friendly. Ka pai!

My friend has been raving about this place all year, and I was not disappointed! Generously sized hangi, with very flavoursome meat and veggies. Cream paua was decent, and my biggest regret was not getting the fried bread. Lovely staff. Will be back!

Visited the first time last week and DAMN this way too good. Awesome lady too, had a quick chat just before opening "smoking first lol" can't wait to go back, unfortunate for me I'm in South Auckland 🤦🏽‍♂️*** 💯***

Great value fried bread that's a decent size! Great for dunking into their chowders! Their steam pudding is also a great buy, but it seems sometimes their seafood chowder is all Surimi. My dad loves this place for their Paua, but his only complaint is it can be too creamy or "floury" as he puts it! Would still recommend this place though!

Excellent service and great food. I had the boil up and the hangi which were both packed with a great variety of meat and veges.

I ordered the hangi and extra fried bread and raw fish.....omg the hangi was perfectly cooked and the fried bread was to die for and the raw fish was delicious and fresh. The service and the vibe inside the shop felt very homely and warm with laughter and family vibes. Keep up the awesome kai and service.
