Review The Irish Wolf - Whangarei

Went here for the first time after changing names from McMorrisseys. We were looked after very well by the team, and the food and music was great. Definitely going back.

Has the oldie world Irish pub them... Just. But tattie and needs a tidy up. Seating is restricted to bar area in general with the larger room next door lights off and unused for general use. Great live music and pub activities like quiz nights etc offering a community feel.

Highly recommend the trad music session on Wednesdays (6pm-8pm in the winter months). Great music and humour, friendly atmosphere. Wedges and a drink go down well too

Awesome meal. Fantastic potato wedges and tasty burgers. This is definitely fantastic value for money. The establishment is clean, bright and staff are friendly

I like this place more when its quieter during the week or weekends before it turns more into a club than a pub.. The beers good here and the there's some good grub to. Probably one of the longest standing g bars in town. Quite a small venue that can be get filled up and cramped pretty quick on big nights

The staff are really helpful, we had a couple burgers and rib meal, burgers were good but the rib meal was very tough, hard to pull off the bone,I wouldn't order ribs again but staff were polite so I would go back.

Lovely Staff and a real nice comfortable place. Meals didn't take long to get and were well nice. I had the lamb shanks. Meat fell off the bone

Wonderful pub with an authentic feel of Ireland. The night I was there, eating a rich lamb stew, we had local musicians playing Irish music on accordion, fiddle, banjo and bodhrain Memorable.

It's a quiet pub most of the day often has an irish folk band playing in the eves Comes alive Friday nights Good range of well priced meals available Pool tables in really shabby state and need a refurb

Best pub in Whangarei! The Guinness is good, there's an Irish band on a Wednesday and a pub quiz in a Thursday. It has a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Make sure to order a plate of 'smashies' - homemade, piping hot and crispy roast potatoes.
