Review The Coroglen Tavern - Whitianga

p b
A good stop between the Hot Water Beach and Whitianga. We rang ahead to make sure that the kitchen was still open and we were in luck. The Tuesday night special, steak, eggs and chips was good and the fish and salad also received a thumbs up. The staff friendly and helpful. Parking was right outside the front, door but on a busier day parking in front of the pub could be more good luck than good management.

A couple of us decided to head to Coroglen to try out our newly acquired motor bikes. It appeared this Tavern was well supported by locals which is a good sign and it had a good vibe. I decided on a Hawaiian Burger and was not disappointed. Lots of fresh everything in it including bacon to accompany a generous sized patti and no less than 2 pineapple rings. Bun was decent and fries were on point. Chased that down with a cold one and this chap was as happy as with his lunch. Definitely be back regularly so I quietly work my way through the menu.

If you want a feel for the local area, then you must stop in here. I ordered the vege burger without cheese to make it vegan witu some curly fries on the side. They had a vegan friendly sav blanc too - Neds brand. The burger was really tasty, as was the wine. If we visit the area again, we'll be back for sure

Great country pub. They do big gigs in the summer and it has a big stage area out back. Food is really good although there is no table service you order at the bar and collect your own food. Great atmosphere.

Ample outdoor seating and a fantastically decorated interior made this the perfect stop after a swim in the Coroglen River just across the bridge. Order at the bar and relax away. Sweet stage out the back for when gigs are on.

Classic Kiwi roadhouse with rural setting and fabled scallop burger, cold beers, and free eight ball on Sundays.

This is the most impressive place we found so far. We stopped by unexpected because it the closest place from our destination that we could find something to eat. It turn out to be the best cafe that we stopped by in nz so far. The price is cheaper than many other cafe's. The food was extremely excellent. Staff members are very friendly and easy to talk to. The most important thing is that the place is nice decorate and very tidy and spotless. We been all over North island but this place is really is special. We would definitely come back next time if we come to visit coromandal town. Most importantly it is kids friendly place too. There are kids menus to choose from and it was great foodπŸ˜‰

Chips had the right amount of crisp. Warm fire and reasonably priced drinks. It’s a must stop place.
