Review Blue Lagoon Bar & Eatery - Whitianga

Absolutely delicious! I ate here with my husband and adult son. I had the surf and turf (wow!), husband had the seafood platter which was huge and my son had the pork burger. The staff were really friendly and the service was quick. I’d definitely recommend this place!

We just came from Auckland CBD and new to Coromandel, also really tired and so we rent a place on the apartment. When we’re looking for a place to eat, the guys said we got 20% discount if we go to Blue Lagoon. So that’s what we did. When we got here, the place is having a function (a Christmas party) So basically it’s really busy, especially the staff. But that didn’t stopped them to deliver a wonderful service to us. English is not our first language but they welcome us and guide us on our food. The food is amazing and the staff are really helpful. We are the last guest and still they serve us dessert and as a customer looking at the staff who’s really busy that night, They still manage to deliver a quality service! Kudos to all of you and kudos to the staff on this date: 28th of November 2023 (7pm till closing: we are the last one) Shout out as well to the staff who told us to give a review. We had cheesy bearnaise mussels, lamb rack and dessert sticky date pudding. All dishes were just superb. Will be back again.

Amazing amazing amazing!! Despite blue lagoon being super busy for the long week, the staff managed to give us a table regardless of how busy they were! My partner and I had the eye fillet and chicken burger along with an entree of calamari, two spirits & two cocktails of long island iced tea & it was super delightful. They ran out of items on the menu such as the garlic bread (it looked amazing on another table) due to being busy but that was very understandable but also provided us a meal on the house explains how well they treat their customers & services. I gotta say, the steak was one of a kind (probably one of the best steaks I have ever had) it was juicy, succulent and cooked beautifully as I wanted it rare. Will be coming back, and of course it is worth the wait if they are busy! Thank you to the waiters/ kitchen staff for working so well under pressure!

Me and hubby went out last night for a romantic evening at this beautiful restaurant with a lovely view. It was a chilly evening so i opted for a hot chocolate, the best hot chocolate i’ve had in a while. And the fish and chips are to die for. Excellent service 100% recommend.

The best meals and great prices second time we have been and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend

We had dinner six of us and some of the best steak we’ve ever had the meal was delicious overall everybody had something different and the food was scrumptious service was great and the staff were lovely. I’d highly recommend to anyone who enjoys good quality food and at a reasonable price.

Staff were amazing, shout out to the lady serving us, she was so friendly. Food was fantastic! Highly recommended this place. We caught the ferry across from cooks beach to whitianga. A 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal. This place is most certainly worth a visit!

The food here is awesome. We had the pork ribs and pork belly meals, super yummy.. The customer service was even better!! Very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be coming back here our next trip!

Food was delish! Service was great! We sat in the high tables and had a beautiful view of the Harbour. Food came out fast. I highly recommend 👌
