A magical kitty space, with great staff and good coffee. There, you can meet many adorable cats that are quirky and friendly (and also with a sense of entitlement, because cats can). They are just hanging around and it's a privilege to be ignored by them. It is a requirement that you love animals as this is not a place for the curious. The staff is also helpful, caring and knowledgeable about them. It's an opportunity to interact with cats as they look down on you with their superiority complex, a thing that any cat owner is used to. Only children 10+ that are kind to animals are accepted. I really recommend this place, it's a place for you to make cats feel happy.

They have more than a dozen cats living here! They're all adorable and some of them have been through a rough life but that hasn't stopped them from being even more adorable.
There's a blind one who is just so happy to get pets it melts my heart. There's a cross-eyed one that loves to chase after a fuzzy red ball and he's just so enthusiastic. The place clearly is doing a lot of good for these cats.
Only warning is to be mindful of what time you're going, since you pay in 1 hour increments and cats are naturally sleepy at various points in the day, especially around 11!

Cafe's staffs were friendly and nice, introduced their cats and rules very well too! This one is the best cat cafe I've been visited so far and u won't regret if u are a cat lover.

What a great cafe! Lots of sweet cats. A few have particularities so be sure to listen to how one should interact with some of them. The best time to visit is apparently Tuesday mornings.

No but really, this is one of the best places in the city. Warm and quiet, with great coffee and a large selection of snacks (including vegan options).
The residents are great too, most of the cats are relaxed and friendly, and the staff are so happy and excited to talk about the cats and their personalities and stories. All of the cats are rescues and they are treated so well here!
Not a place to bring kids though, there is a restriction of only children over ten, for the well-being of the kitties.
My only complaint is that an hour is not long enough, but you can extend that time for a reduced cost :D

This cat cafe has over ten sweet cats, with a few disabled ones and former stray cats. Some of the cats are very young and playful, whereas some are a little older and more calm. The cafe is pretty big, with a cute interior, and the staff is friendly!!

This amazing space right in the heart of the city is unreal! I’ve been considering going there for a while now & finally managed to squeeze some time in. Best decision ever! The atmosphere in there is like no other. I know how certain people are skeptical about integrating with cats but the cats at Barista cats have a relaxed vibe about them. The owners were warm & welcoming and took time out to introduce each one. All the cats they house have unique personalities, none like the others. I would highly recommend a trip to Barista cats to people who are cat lovers and even to those who aren’t.

It's a cafe filled with cats; what more is there to say? You'll become acquainted with furry favorites including Wednesday, Woody, and Barry. You'll only wish you didn't have to leave. Entry includes a choice of drink and myriad toys for the felines to play with. Fear not if it's nap time when you arrive; everyone is at full attention as soon as the dining room door is opened.

A smorgasbord of kitties! I had an awesome time at BaristaCats during my visit in Auckland.
I went in the latter part of the day but the kitties were still snuggly and amazing and I loved all the little details around the place to interact and learn about the cafe.
Special shout out to the team for making sure my drink was safe for my myriad of dietary requirements; it was very much appreciated.
Would highly recommend a visit here for some awesome kitty snugs and to contribute to a good cause.

My gf and I loved this and it's a perfect little relaxing place. If you know how to use the toys, several of the cats love to play.

I love coming here. The cats make lovely company and the place feels so cozy, great for anyone who can't have pets or is a cat lover! the cats have distinct personalities and each have their own story.
The staff are super friendly and helpful and they have veg and gluten free options available.
Follow them on Instagram first if you want to know the cats a bit better. Also make bookings to secure your time slot. 10/10 recommend!!

Cute sleepy funny cats! Drinks and food were average. Friendly good service, explaining the rules nicely and promptly at the beginning of the 1hr session. It's my third visit and I enjoy it every time. Worth it. 😍

This place is amazing. I went sometime last week, and it now is one of my favourite places despite having gone only once.<br/>Now, I didn't order anything, but it's worth mentioning that the staff there were very friendly and welcoming, introducing you to each of the cafe's adorable cats.<br/>I'll definitely be going again, and the second time, I won't be alone either- it felt almost wrong of me not to tell others about this place.<br/>Cozy and aesthetically pleasing, comforting and warm, it is undoubtedly the best place to be for foodies and cat lovers alike.<br/><br/>As an overall comment, it's a must-visit; a hidden gem and a nice break in the busy flow of the city.

I’ve only been to the BaristaCats Cafe once but it was a wonderful experience. The customer services were great and they were all very kind and direct with how the place works. It’s a nicely decorated place with every wall having something to look at which I think is great. It’s a bit pricey, I would say for drinks and such. As well as the location being a bit hard to find. The cats were lovely and a lot of fun to be around, it took us a while to actually start playing and sit with us. As they all seemed a little tired. It was overall a great experience and WOULD DEFINITELY GO AGAIN

This is the perfection place to visit if you are in need of some cat therapy. There were 14 cats on the day we visited, and they were all absolutely adorable. <br/><br/>The staffs were friendly and will tell you quite a lot about the cats too :) <br/><br/>The only complaint is that besides the booking fee, you also had to pay extra for food & drinks, which were quite costly. But I guess you don’t visit cat cafe for the food :p <br/><br/>Saying goodbyes to the cats when our time was up was the hardest thing!

Visited this cafe a few times. It's $15 to enter, and hosts a large assortment of cats, of varying degrees of affectionate. The food is a little pricy, but very good. Plus, if you want the attention of the felines, ordering food is the easiest way to do it. Hamburglar will be on you in a heartbeat if they see food.<br/><br/>My favourite was Banksy though, a gorgeous fluffy ginger tabby who when I visited, had needed to get his teeth taken out and spent most of my visit sleeping by my side.<br/><br/>It is recommended to go in the morning however, as the cats start sleeping in the afternoon.

I entered this place with so much excitement and left this place in disappointment. The cafe got very cute interiors and I love the concept. The staff is friendly too. It's the cats which made me feel disappointed. May it was my bad luck that when I visited this cafe all the cats were very tired and sleepy. I specially booked the time 12 noon hoping they would be fresh but seems like it's the worst time to go to this place. All the cats are cute and stuff but when they hardly move or don't even bother to open their eyes, that's when you start to feel disappointed as I didn't pay $20 to watch cats sleeping. No wonder they look super adorable while sleeping but only for initial 5-10 mins and after that it's quite boring. I am not really sure where I will visit this place again.

Came here on a Tuesday as they have 2 for $20 Tuesday's special, which includes 1 hour for 2 pax and 2 drinks. Booking online was fuss-free and you get to see available time slots and pax. It was really great as everyone had lots of space and opportunities to mingle with the cats. The friendly staff made us feel welcomed and introduced us to the different cats. We had fun using the toys to play with them, and they were so active. Coffee was good and I love the spacious vibrant cafe, exactly what a cat cafe should be! Lovely experience.

Probably the most coolest cafe in Auckland. The team at the cafe were super friendly and didn't mind me staying there longer than time I paid for. I didn't even really take notice on what I was drinking because I was too busy playing with the cats who are all very well behaved and gentle towards humans.

Meet the Super Kittizens of the Super Kitty!<br/><br/>I really enjoyed my time at Baristacats! I will definitely come back again and next time I'll come with my friends! Entry also comes with supplementary drink and there is also vegan and vegetarian food. The spinach pie was delicious! <br/><br/>I thought it was so sneaky! One of the cats (ginger-white-black coat) tried to get hold of my pie, but failed. It was so cute that I ended up taking a photo of it!

Incredible atmosphere, incredible food on offer, and very loveable company. 10/10 would recommend this place especially for when you're feeling a bit stressed out or down in the dumps, an hour or two of kitty cuddles really brightens your day and the food is ridiculously good, though the pricing can be a bit steep. Just watch out for Hamburglar when you're having a bite to eat, she's a sneaky little miss and won't hesitate to nab your food when you're not looking 😹

Visited before Christmas and had a great time, the cats were still very active and playful at 5:00pm after a busy day. Lots of toys to help you interact with the cats, they often come out of nowhere and surprise you! I was very impressed by the lovely staff, talking about the cats and always watching out for their welfare.

This place is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and the cats are super adorable and have the best names like Mango and Golden Homie XD We were greeted on arrival by a kitty sitting on a perch by the counter. There are a lot of perches for the cats to sit on and chairs for people to sit on. There is also an abundance of toys to play with the cats. The cats are very well behaved and good with people. I also love that here you can book for two hours rather than just one. With your booking you get one drink of your choice. The iced tea I had was very nice :D Have yet to try the food but an very happy with this place. Would definitely recommend =)

The cats are super cute and fun! There are lots of toys around for you to interact with the cats. The staff are very friendly and helpful with the cats. The hot chocolate I had wasn't very good unfortunately, and nor was the tea my friend had, which had a strange taste. Didn't get to try their food as we were too busy haha! The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable with plenty of seating and cute decor. Perfect for cat lovers :3
