Came here on a really busy night with some workmates and they do some pretty good pub food. Cool vibe too, although it does get quite packed inside. Nice place to come for some drinks or to catch up with friends.

Do you know Vultures’ on Vulcan Lane has 22 regularly rotating taps and over 75 bottles in the fridge? This pub does serve not only great beer but also fantastic food!! One of my favourites is this buttermilk fried chicken tenders, named Buttered Bird. These chicken tenders are delicious!🤤 Crispy outside, tender & juicy inside. It also goes very well with the sriracha mayo; my go-to sauce.😝
$16 for a good decent amount, not the cheapest but I would totally rate these as the BEST in Auckland!
Vultures does really good pub food - nachos, burgers, fish n chips etc. A must try are their pies - really big and tasty, I definitely recommend their smoked fish one. They have some good daily specials and their food is always value for money. Decent selection for vegetarians too which can be rare at pubs. For those into craft beers, definitely check this place out as they have a huge selection - it's what they are best known for.
One of the city's great bars - not a dive bar per se but has lots of dive-y aspects. Big selection of local and overseas craft beers, interesting characters [like the biker with the white frenchie pictured]. Staff are friendly at times and may even get on it with you after they knock off...
If you like craft beer then this will defs be a bit of you. This place is my go-to for an after work crafty on a Friday. It is no frills for sure but the selection of beers is top notch, surly staff are somewhat charming and there are free hot wings on Fridays. Get there - you won't be disappointed.
In Auckland for the weekend, grabbed a cab to the city starving and found this place luckily!
We were in for a late lunch so wanted to order snacks to tide us over til dinner.
We had the loaded fries, hot wings and onion rings with a couple of beers.
The loaded fries with chilli and cheese were tasty and generous for sharing as were the deliciously crunchy tender chicken wings. So pleased to see the onion rings were home made in the crunchy light batter, they certainly didn't disappoint! None of the food was greasy or dry which I was kind of expecting from the price SO really just very reasonably priced (if not under) for fresh, hot, yummy bar food.

Stopped by for one of the fresh hop beers event in Auckland. We came here since they were one of the few bars that were participating. It is located between Queen and High Street on Vulcan lane.
Friendly service and they do have small bites and burgers available. The buttermilk fried chicken was nuggets of chicken served with BBQ sauce.
Fairly small pub with seating both inside and out.
yippee! hooray for AMAZING sandwiches and beers on tap that wont make you broke! for some reason the falafel sandwich wasnt on the menu i got inside. but that doesnt mean they are not preparing it - so do not despair if your favorite dish seems to be missing. also the place is quite cool - something like a gentlemens club from the old days maybe? a total score!
great selection of beers on tap, something which is hard to find in auckland! Lovely atmosphere with the old wooden bar and mirrors and nice fire, perfect on the cold wet day on which we visited. Very helpful staff who were more than willing to give us a taste of the beers before we decided and good food to boot! thoroughly recommend.

Many beers on draft and you can also get the pie+beer deal (great deal!). They also have many bottled beers to choose from, wines and hard liquor. The food looks amazing, but I have only had their pies.
No table service here. Order and pay at the bar and they will bring your food to you when it's ready.
Great brewpub in a charming historic building on cool Vulcan Lane, situated between the ferry terminal and the Auckland Art Gallery. There is an excellent selection of beers on tap, as well as ones in bottles. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich (delicious!) that came with thick cut fries (also delicious!). Barkeeps were very friendly and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely bar. Great service and all the food was amazing. Very yummy Lamb Shank and Kiwi Burger . Great beer too. Will definitely be back again.
Delicious craft beer bar. We stopped by and enjoyed the delicious steak fries and a beer sampler.
One of my favorite spots for the rare pint. Friendly staff and a good mix of regulars and new interesting people to meet. This place has always had a solid pub menu as well. Probably the best bar of it's kind in central Auckland.

Never seen a place with such a huge selection of craft beer and good food at the same time. The staff helps you finding the perfect beer for you and they also have a nice terrace to enjoy the weather and people walking by. Definitely can recommend this place and would go there again.
