Stunning Thai restaurant! Excellent menu and everything we had was really well presented and delicious!

Our 1st visit here and it is now one of our go to places for dining out. It has spectacular views and the service is good especially the young waitress we had she is very efficient. The food is nice and good value for money. It has a homely atmosphere, you can dine in casual attire and feel right at home. We met brown bear who is one of the restaurants frequent patrons he is a loveable character and is an avid fan of their food and so are we. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. 👌👍

We love Thai'd up. Perfect location with a nice view of Orewa Beach Estuary on a beautiful day. Joy the owner is truly amazing. We've followed her team since 1998 from Thai Chef Birkenhead, Thai Chef Albany, then Thai'd up in Red Beach. The food is always great and we were happy that she settled in that location. We definitely be back again.

Definitely has to be my favorite restaurant. Have been going there for the past 9 years & never ever been disappointed. The warm ambience as you walk in is inviting, as is the warm smiles from all the staff. They treat you well & service is quick & courteous. The food is absolutely delicious every single time. The surroundings are spotless as is the cutlery. I imagine the kitchen will be too. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food with a beautiful view of Orewa.

Best Thai place, been coming here for years

We have been dining at this restaurant for many years and their food has never failed to please. I especially recommend the seafood as it is always fresh. Their service is great and the staff very friendly. Pricing is comparable to other Thai restaurants. To top it off the view from their restaurant over the bay at Orewa is fantastic. It is our go to place for great Thai food.

very bad  food was cold and also  very little meat or seafood wont never go again  i will use orewa thai in main   hibiscus coast in future far superior

RATED Ordered entrees 3 chicken satay skewers $8.50 for 1. One was a good size and the other two were undersized. On the full skewer 2 pieces of chicken about 4-5cm long photo attached. Quite a difference. The sauce was watery and had chopped nuts added to it - tasteless. When we asked about it the owner was not understanding at all , she told us she didn't care she told me she had been doing this for 10 years and was always the same, kept interrupting me and would not listen. She over talked us, was rude and angry, she bullied us and made us feel very uncomfortable. We spoke to the two waiters and they were lovely and said it was out of their hands. Minutes later the chef comes out very aggressively saying "You got a problem"! I explained the situation again gave the feedback and showed him the skewers which we kept to eat later. He also bullied us and told us to leave! We have been here many times to this restaurant and never got this treatment ever and always came back as there was never a problem. We said we wanted to stay for the mains as we had already ordered but he was trying to get us to leave over feedback!!!. We were all so shocked. I have never seen this service in any restaurant in NZ ever. They obviously do not like it and are very defensive when people have give feedback. On leaving and paying they did the same thing over talked us constantly, the chef standing near us giving us filthy looks! I see below there is another person who tried to give feedback got the same treatment in Feb 7/2015. Will not go back and will tell friends not to go. They should not be in business if going to treat people like this. My students thought it was disgusting and they're parents would have given feedback also.

Great clean place and lovely view, service was fast and friendly and food was out within ten minutes, we got the Prawn Aroy with steamed rice for me which was really tasty and the kids menu choice for my son (chicken skewers, mini spring roll, steamed rice, grated carrot and chips) which is really great value and he loved it and comes with a dessert, I highly recommend and we will be back regularly.

We ordered the Penang curry which was basically veges in bland coconut milk - awful! I'm 99% sure they used a frozen vege mix for the vegetables. Lamb massaman wasn't as bad but nothing to write home about. Satay chicken entree was about $7 for 4x fairly dry skewers. Pad Thai chicken was very average. To be frank, I have made better of all these dishes at home. If it's an authentic tasty Thai experience you are after - go to Suwan Thai in Orewa - amazing!! And not expensive.

If you're looking for great, flavorful Thai food then this is the place to go. Shared multiple dishes including green and red curries, pad Thai and sweet and sour pork along with a couple appetizers. It was all very yum and the meat seemed very fresh and top quality. Ordered a pecan pie and chocolate cake for desert and wow they were eaten in .5 seconds! Both warm and moist with a generous scoop of ice cream and cream then drizzled in sauce. Unfortunately they were very busy so service was quite slow. They gave us a 10% discount at the end of it all though which made up for it as they are usually quite speedy and on to it.

Went out with my husband for dinner here tonight for the first time. I cannot say we were impressed. Service was really slow, the food was fine but I have had much tastier elsewhere. We probably won't be back.

Came here for my twenty first last week with 15 people. I was worried that with that amount of people it could get messy but it was perfect. Food was amazing as always !! I had pad Thai, I also tried the chicken soup (best soup ever). Atmosphere was great. Excellent excellent night. Thank you so much 😁😁

We were not welcomed on entry and table was dirty. Food was dry and overcooked. Tried to give feedback but were told 'we don't care' and blamed us for not enjoying the meal. Very defensive when we tried to give feedback and unwilling to listen. Will not go back and will tell friends not to go.

Went here with my husband on Friday night. We were the first ones there. The service was spot on, quick and efficient. Our shared starter arrived, mixed entree, it was perfect to start with, not too much, just something to nibble on before our mains. For the mains we had the Spicy Lady dish and the chicken Red Curry. Both dishes were medium in spice and nice and hot in serving temperature. For dessert we had the Thai fruit w ice cream and the deep fried banana - all was gobbled down. All in a All, the best Thai restaurant on the Coast IMO.

We recently dined in on a Thursday night and we were both disappointed with our meals. <br/>My partner ordered the green curry which was disgusting and quite foul. Our meals were served with dry gluggy rice (which is an extra cost to the dish &amp; rice is such a basic!!!) <br/>We did order takeaways once before and while the food was nice the first time it was very watered down. <br/>

As so many others have said, this restaurant is fantastic. The food is awesome, the people are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We always order more than we need and take it home for lunch the next day. Yum! There is a bottle store below so BYO is easy.

We keep going back over and over again, year after year even though we live on the shore. The best value, best view and best tasting Thai food around.<br/>Try the goon grub entree.<br/>I see that I have to use over 200 characters so I also rate very highly the friendly family staff, the relaxed atmosphere and the value of being a BYO. Theres also a bottle store below.

Absolutely outstanding!! The food was cooked to perfection, and tasted better than any Thai I've had before, and it was delivered to our table so fast, it blew us away! The staff were friendly...one was a little over-enthusiastic but he was young and clearly just trying to keep busy so I can easily forgive that. Prices also excellent value for the standard of food we received. I think Harley (below) must have gone to a different restaurant because his experience just doesn't fit. I will happily travel from Auckland central just to eat here again.

We live locally and often eat in the restaurant and also order takeaways. The food is always fantastic. Always fresh with great authentic Thai flavours. <br/><br/>The staff are always friendly. The service is awesome and they provide a kid friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice with a great view over Orewa beach. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend this Thai restaurant as a great place to eat. Great value, great food and great atmosphere.

You are wrong Harley, so wrong. This place has the best Thai food on the coast at the best price. The owners are friendly, the service is great and the place is not filthy.<br/><br/>For some reason I have to submit more than 200 characters for my review, so uh. You're wrong Harley. Very wrong.

me and my wife went there the other day, first thing we saw was the chairs, they were filthly, my wife been a cleaner long time ago and she said AWW thats awful. How is the kitchen??? anyway we stayed, the food... naa better to go the to food court, way better. Pay 17 or 20 bucks for that when u get heaps better at the food court. Service standard.. nothing to take tumb up for. I will never go back. Rahter go back to noddle canteen. Just better food for less money.<br/>Surprised !!!!, everytime I go to a Thai restaurant, they have heaps of food but they had not much at all

This was the nicest Thai restaurant i have been to. The food is amazing and most mains under $19.00 including the divine whole snapper.It is BYO as well and only $2 for corkage.Whatsmore the views are spectacular out over orewa beach and the estuary.<br/>Staff very friendly and helpful.<br/>The decor could be upgraded a little maybe but you dont really notice it when you have fab views.<br/>Would definitely go again

Went there last night, got drunk. Didnt eat much food, just drank that liquor. Good food. Goes well with Cognac.
