Absolutely amazing, best Sals I have been to. The garlic knots here are incredible, not sure what they do to them but they are delicious. The pizza was put together really well, and tasted delicious as always. Staff were very friendly and made the order really quick, despite it being a Friday night.

Finally found a good pizza place and an authentic NY pizza! We ordered the usual cheese and pepperoni half and half pizza — and both ate just mouthwatering. We also had the buffalo wings but wasn’t impressed at all — expensive and not delish. I will not order the wings again, but will surely be back for other flavours of pizza.
UPDATED: If you’re after an authentic New York style pizza, Sal’s is the best place to be. This is my third time with them. Their pizza is huge and almost all flavours are tasty. I will definitely come back to try other flavours. Other than that, forget about the rest on their menu like the wings and all — small servings and pricey. If I didn’t order any side dishes i might give Sal’s 5/5.

Sal's Manukau produces boss pizzas, exactly what you want and expect from the New York style pizza. We tried the new flavour- 100 pepperoni black garlic, the cheesy umami spicy goodness is a winner. Cheers team, always worth the visit.

Just want to give a heads up to those that would love to experience Sals pizza, be sure to be financially prepared on the chosen day okay.
Anyways, this place overall has such a magnificent ambiance, it's got such a relaxing vibe, staff is amazing, the menu is over whelming to begin with lmao, so many to select esp my first experience. I had chosen their "THE SALS NBL STEAL" which was half&half pepperoni and cheese. Allow the pizza to rest for 3-4 mins before taking first bite. First bite for me was heavenly. Best decision made to try it out.
Give it a go. If not sure what to grab, ask staff and they will guide you with their best selling pizza. Also 18 inch pizza is massive as well, grab a half if alone, I dined alongside with my partner which 18 inch was enough for him and I. We are big eaters, trust me, the size is massive than regular pizza hut/domino's pizzas.

It’s a rare occasion when we get sals pizza they are exactly as they are described New York style Massiveee.
Garlic knots are bomb. It does depend
Whos on though as 1x night our pizzas were perfect just the right amount of browning on the tops crispiness on the bottom & the next night the bottom was done fine but the top of the pizzas was underdone it showed in the garlic knots as well.
Every experience is different so try it if you haven’t already.

Fantastic! best pizza I have eaten in auckland. It is pricey ($30 per pizza) but the slices are huge and one pizza feeds 2 people for sure.

Sal's is the best! I'm an American expat and Sal's fulfills my longing for real American pizza. Plus, Nikko's crew at the Mt Wellington store are the best. I've never experienced such great customer service here in New Zealand. Keep up the great job!!!!

Im a regular Sal's lover and usually get it from Auckland Central. Last night i encouraged my mates who never tried sals before to get some. At New Lynn they gave us burnt based pizza for take away. we only found out when we got home and was disappointed. The other pizza was just OK.

Browns Bay usually great. Tonight unfriendly service and no actual buffalo sauce on the wings (found out when i got home) and wrong dipping sauce. Not happy. No desire to eat the dish (first bite was oily and gross).

If I could give a zero I would. Just went to the Birkenhead shop... no beer, no pepperoni scrolls, no mozzarella sticks and only told us they were closing in 15 and couldn't eat in after we paid. We usually love Sals but the service at Birkenhead has put us off completely. No "customer service" at all.

We have been to Sals at My Wellington Auckland and it's great..non of the problems encountered at other Sals around the country.The service is fast and friendly and the pizzas, garlic knots and wings are great, we have been a few times now and love it, great experience, good staff is the key to a good business.

Worst delivery experience out of any fast food place. Ordered pizza from Birkenhead tonight at 6.20. Still waiting. So far it's 30 minutes late. Called the store to be told the driver had left. Maybe she went via Hamilton. �

I usually love sals but today my experience was sooo bad, I waited soo long for my order, it was just half a pizza, and then I finally get it, take it home and the pizza is burnt, it was just dark black on the bottom side and it tasted sooo bad. Worst experience

Terrible and total rip off ! One of the main ingredients in a pizza is cheese or so I thought . How can you advertise a vegan pizza , charge premium price then put no vegan cheese on it ?
This is trying to jump on a market you obviously have no clue about . Bad marketing if you don’t do your due diligence and find out what a vegan pizza has on it and what your market wants . It’s cheese people vegan cheese ! Not that hard to find. $35 for a pizza with a base , pasta sauce and 3 vegetables. Come on !
