I probably had the best omelette I ever had in Auckland, the ingredients were plentyful and it was well presented. My wife had the avocado and tomato on 5 Grains bread and she enjoyed it as well. Highly recommended place and we will be back.

Love the buzzy atmosphere in my favourite little cafe here. Today I ordered a creamy mushrooms on toast. The menu on the board said “add poached egg” and I did not realise that it had a tiny +4 next to that so I read it as “creamy mushrooms add poached egg”. My order arrived w/o the egg. I went to ask the counter and they explained it was an add on. I told my friend at my table a little sadly that it was the egg I was looking forward to. Someone must have heard me. Ten mins later and an egg arrived at my table and the waiter had the nicest smile. Thank you guys! I love the fact that you don’t want to disappoint a customer but your little gesture was surprising and delightful. Reinforces my vote for why you guys are my fav little local! X keep up the great job!

Best chicken sandwich in town! I only tried the chicken stack one, not the baguette but the bread from the stack was was lovely, perfect bites. I always go back for more. The almond cappuccino was also perfect! It is such a charming cafe, definitely worth stopping by if you are in Remuera.

The place has fresh food. However, they need to work on the hospitality. Coffees are inconsistent and they cut bacon and eggs sandwich vertically which make it uncomfortable to eat. I think it’s over priced for what it is.

Visited Browns Eatery on a whim as it looked busy enough from the outside, and a selection of cabinet cafe food sufficient enough for a stop. Well, I won’t be visiting again! They operated via “no table service” - which it was in my understanding due to Covid-19 restrictions cafes had to adopt a table service. Anyway - all the staff unfortunately acted as though we were interrupting them. I tried to ask several times what was in each sandwiches/rolls (as none were labelled) and each time was a “ham and cheese” in a tone as if I should’ve known better!! My ‘ham and cheese roll’ was slapped on a plate - cold. My tea was served in a takeaway cup, despite dining in. Very odd service and very overpriced - the roll, tea, an iced mocha and croissant coming in at over $30! I wouldn’t normally review an average cafe experience but this was so strange not to. Felt as though we’d walked into someone’s house unannounced than an open cafe. Disappointing.

Nice looking cafe that seemed to be busier than most on Remuera road, but food & service was both below average. Staff had very little to no eye contact, and they just didn't seem to want to be there(?) Food looked nice but tasted average. Would recommend a short walking towards the Greenlane roundabout to Pronto Eatery which is less than 10mins away!

Food was well prepared. Service a bit hit & miss as lack of experience with wait staff. Seating was a little cramped if you were moving to a table, and this wasn’t helped with a large table being full with young kids. <br/>Coffee really well made & prices reasonable

Such a cosy eatery! The soy hot choc was yum and the bacon and egg quiche came with a side salad and chutney. All the cabinet food looked delicious in fact! My friend had the couscous salad and it was a big portion which was great.

I don't understand why this cafe is popular. I got a flatwhite with no latte art at all. The temperature of the coffee was also a bit cold. I just drank it thinking of getting another coffee run from another cafe.

Some things are really good, but the club sandwiches are a let down, they should be called rocket sandwiches. It must be hard to spread egg so thin and the chicken tasted like fish paste blended fine and spread even finer.

Have been here a few times for brunch, lunch, and coffees. Used to make great coffees but recently gone a little downhill...food still great and so are the staff, maybe coffee just had a bad day today?

Met a friend here for coffee today very busy cafe with crowded spaces to sit. Coffee was very average 3/5 wouldn’t return in a hurry! Staff seemed busy and were not accomodating!

Good ambience, friendly staff and service was fair. Just passed this cafe and tried their mango smoothies to cool down. It was good although it tasted more of a concentrated mango that I buy from the supermarket rather than fresh. The cabinet food looks inviting - sandwiches, croissants, muffins, cakes etc. Very keen to try their breakfast menu and coffee.

Good food and really nice environment. Out of the things we had, the bacon & egg quiche and berry smoothie really stood out. A little hard to find parking around the area but it's not too bad on a weekday.

As a regular customer, I've been impressed with the quality of Browns' coffee and their blueberry muffin that they bake fresh from the oven! At times where the cafe is busy, the coffee can be a bit of a let down. However, I absolutely love coming here to get my coffee fix! Their muffins and scones are worth a try.

Never empty and a pretty good range of things to eat. Options to relax outdoors or shelter at the tables inside where there is a good view of the kitchen area. Popular spot Which is easy to find. Makes a handy rendezvous.

Browns Eatery is my go-to coffee pick up in Remuera. <br/><br/>Why, because you don't even have to enter the store to order your cup of black gold. Brown's Espresso Bar opens up onto the foot path allowing you to chat to the barista as he brews your morning caffeine hit. <br/><br/>Serving up a good cup of Allpress isn't all Browns is good at too. They're expertise extends to they're carefully curated menu as well. Offering smashed avocado with feta crumb on 5 grain or Auckland's staple: Eggs Benedict. <br/>With a modern interior and bustling atmosphere, in my opinion there isn't a lot to complain about. <br/><br/>If I'm completely honest, I often get told their service is "unorganised" and "inefficient" but in all my experiences there (and I am a local) I can't say this has been reflected at all.

Nice coffee & lovely interior. Great place to catch up with friends. Their home baking is also pretty good. Last time I tried their blueberry muffin, which complimented my coffee quite well.

Browns is definitely our favourite café in Remuera, and the added window display for Bastille day was very cute. The coffee was great, and there was a very wide variety of breakfast, lunch and sweet options. The salmon bagel, pea and feta salad and mushroom quiche were all great, but anything from the counter looked good. The lemon tart was amazing and the rest of the French baking was also very tempting.

A casual cafe with a lovely garden area at the back - just the thing on a hot sticky day.<br/>On most days I want a light lunch & this place suited perfectly. Decided on a piece of baked veg quiche just out of the oven! With salad it was great. Coffee also good.<br/>Cabinet food looked very fresh & inviting - finger sandwiches, bacon avocado baps etc & appeared to all be made on the premises.<br/>Icecreams & cakes for the sweet tooth. Prices very reasonable.<br/>Happy to go again.
