I bought a caramel raspberry slice after playgroup one day and it was huge and only $5! It was soo yummy and it’ll now be a regular treat of mine :D

A great cafe with fabulous coffee and yummy as food at affordable prices. Staff are lovely. I'm a regular now, and keep going back.

Food could be better presented. Freeze dried raspberries and a swirl of maple syrup would have done wonders. Escalate ordinary into extraordinary

Lovely in there great food, coffee and service. I also like how there are options for in and outside seating with a kids play area.

Great coffee and had a really nice chicken pie. Atmosphere is good made up of different miss-matching chairs, tables but it works and looks good. Sat outside on a covered deck cause inside had a large gathering of cackling older ladies. Can get quite noisy inside. Area is clean and well maintained. Tables cleared and wiped regularly. Kitchen clean and food prepared carefully and hygienically, as customers can see it being prepared. Not a large variety but something can be found for all tastes. Great parking and would recommend.

16Dec17: Forgot how awesome this cafe was. Good to see that they only improved from what was already amazing a year ago. Must visit if you are in Auckland. Also its for a good cause. Year ago: A beautiful little café thats part of the community center. So eating here you will not just get great coffee and food but also contribute to good purpose as all profits goes to community center. The exterior and interior has been redone reusing materials from old buildings giving it heaps of character

Lovely space, plenty of outdoor seating, nice relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Coffee and eggs Benedict were very good. Pancakes had lots of nice fresh fruit plus whipped cream, options for bacon, etc. My recommendation to the chef is to not overmix the batter, which makes the hotcakes tougher. Also would be nice with some wholemeal flour as well. Very satisfying and pleasant meal for both of us.

We popped in today for lunch and the food was delicious! We had the chicken & salad lunch box special, spinach & feta roll, zucchini chips and a beef roll. The staff are so kind hearted, helpful and happy. The cafe itself is fresh and vibrant with beautiful art for sale on the walls. Looking forward to dining here again.

Great coffee and friendly staff

Not really my favourite style of cafe. But it is our local. Coffee is good, but rarely find anything in the food cabinet that I like. Playground is great. Really well set up, keeps our son busy for ages. Seems to be in good condition.

Very friendly staff. Great coffee. I love that they support local artists. Food's a touch pricey for my personal tastes but wholesome and organic, plus the light and breezy ambience is worth it.

Lovely service. Sadly there were no muffins which most elderly ladies ( like us) enjoy and it was morning tea time🙃. They make the Best almond milk flat white!🤗

Best pie I have ever had! Handmade in the cafe. Roxy and Chloe are beautiful charming and professional ladies. Great coffee. So glad I found you!

I've been here a few times over the past few years and it's always been a pleasant experience with a relaxing atmosphere. Amoungst all the struggles going on in 2020, I feel we need to be grateful for the little things and the customer service I experienced here today really reminded me of that. The lady who served me was so warm and welcoming. It meant so much to me to have such a soothing place to go to in my community amoungst so much uncertainty and fear surrounding us all in this time. Thank you so much to the staff, you're doing a great job! 💚

Awesome coffee, warm and pleasant service. Outdoor seating area is pet friendly and so are the wonderful baristas and waitresses. They even have a resident cat that sometimes shows up. He's very friendly and purrfect if you approach him and ask for his gracious attention, but equally efficient in minding his own business.

I love visiting Cafe Korero for breakfast. There's a relaxed, happy vibe and the food is outstanding! The pancakes with lemon curd are to die for! Portions are big and the service is lovely. So great to have a place like this out West, and it's great knowing the money is going back into the community.

Had breaky with my sister here this morning. Fabulous food pancakes to die for best I've ever had, omelette was excellent as well. Shame I live on the other side of town. Good coffee as well. Highly recommend.

Finally took a visit to Cafe Korero (only minutes from home) yesterday and was totally impressed. The pancakes were divine; just scrumptious! I will definitely be back and have been telling friends and family it's well worth dropping in. Thank you.

What an awesome discovery! Well priced, big portions and fresh ingredients. The granola is amazing, you should definitely sell this in bags to take away! Great coffee too. Staff are lovely. Very happy to have such a great local!

The staff are always lovely, the food is fantastic and the playground means I actually get to relax and enjoy while my kids are entertained.

This cafe is a bit for profit cafe. All money goes directly back to the community. Food is amazing!

Love this local cafe. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices. A great meeting point for the community with a relaxed atmosphere.
Love the interior too! Another bonus is the locally sourced community produce.
Laurie Green
Great food and they have very polite staff. I was impressed with the coffee too. Good parking. Also not for profit community entity. Thumbs up!

The coffee is consistently really good and the scones are on another level! Staff are always friendly and make visiting an absolute joy! Really nice local cafe with a real community focus.

The food here is always good, especially the soups and chowders as we get into winter. It has a lovely community atmosphere, with eclectic furniture sourced from the community and hosting of community groups. A lot of the ingredients are sourced from the community garden, so the menu changes seasonally. Staff are always really friendly and lots of seating inside and outside.

If you're on the way to the Waitakere Ranges or Bethells Beach, then have breakfast or lunch in Ranui at Cafe Korero just off main road before Swanson . We had late lunch on Sunday here and we had the Buckwheat Pancakes with soya milk chai lattes..The locals come here so we thought it was a great place too..Heaps of free parking out front and big tables inside . Tidy Cafe with an emphasis on money made going back into the community. Friendly staff and organic food so something for everyone to enjoy. Loved the caramel slices for desserts which we took home as Pancakes were big and delicious. Read magazines and felt relaxed after our meals ..Children friendly too and lots of space inside and out for lots of friends..

My favourite local cafe. Just 5 mins drive down the road. Have been here several times and is my favourite place to go out for breakfast. Always get the bacon and eggs with extra chutney. Tastes and looks like a breakfast that you would get a B & B. You are looking at about $35 for two breakfast mains and drinks. Atmosphere is good, the place has been decked out with recycled and reclaimed chairs and timber. Has outdoor eating in the front and the back.

Visited here with my nana for our birthdays. The coffee was nice and initially we were both very impressed by the layout and service, but once the food arrived... the half mushroom eggs Benedict was served on what was described on the menu as "hash cakes" but was more like a lump of mashed potato. My nana thought it was just some kind of sauce, not a hash cake. I got the beef burger and the chips were very good, but the burger was Luke warm and the beef was soggy and unappealing. I took two bites. At the counter while I was paying and as the food was cleared nobody asked how our meals were.
The cafe has a lovely layout but unfortunately I was not impressed with the overall service or quality of the food.

What a horrible experience ! Just came for a take away coffee and waited 20 minutes only for them to forget that I had ordered take away and waited another 20 minutes for my coffee. What a joke. Also my coffee was awful! Burnt the milk. Not impressed.

A clean, friendly, quiet cafe where you can hold a conversation--there's some road noise (Swanson road is busy) and some kitchen noise, of course, but they aren't big on the music so this is a pleasant place to lunch with friends and not have to raise your voice.

The Korero Breakfast is less generous than the equivalent dish at some other cafes, but it's still more than I can manage! I gather the components vary a little from time to time. Today it was thick toast, eggs, kumara rosti, mushrooms (oh, wow, the mushrooms!), bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, butter, and a slightly spicy tomato sauce/chutney. Very satisfying.

Wheelchair access is reasonable, parking plentiful. And for those who care, there are three Pokestops in range from the covered outdoor seating area. Not my local, but better than my local.

A small but neat little cafe at Ranui area. Discovered it while passing the area and really needed some coffee & lunch! It's located opposite to the Ranui library and the owner informed that it has been a community based cafe for years but only recently been refurbished and relaunched after the council upgraded the community building. I found the environment inviting, the take away goodies are quite creative (e.g. not the usual standard muffin flavours). I especially enjoy the fact that it's using local organic produces & catering special dietary requirement upon request. I can't wait to take my family to visit it during the weekend to enjoy their beautiful kai.

Their Facebook page has nice photos to showcase all the yummy dishes they have to offer! (Vegan options offered :)
