I love visiting Cafe Korero for breakfast. There's a relaxed, happy vibe and the food is outstanding! The pancakes with lemon curd are to die for! Portions are big and the service is lovely. So great to have a place like this out West, and it's great knowing the money is going back into the community.
Had breaky with my sister here this morning. Fabulous food pancakes to die for best I've ever had, omelette was excellent as well. Shame I live on the other side of town. Good coffee as well. Highly recommend.

Love this local cafe. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices. A great meeting point for the community with a relaxed atmosphere.
Love the interior too! Another bonus is the locally sourced community produce.
Great food and they have very polite staff. I was impressed with the coffee too. Good parking. Also not for profit community entity. Thumbs up!
The coffee is consistently really good and the scones are on another level! Staff are always friendly and make visiting an absolute joy! Really nice local cafe with a real community focus.
The food here is always good, especially the soups and chowders as we get into winter. It has a lovely community atmosphere, with eclectic furniture sourced from the community and hosting of community groups. A lot of the ingredients are sourced from the community garden, so the menu changes seasonally. Staff are always really friendly and lots of seating inside and outside.
If you're on the way to the Waitakere Ranges or Bethells Beach, then have breakfast or lunch in Ranui at Cafe Korero just off main road before Swanson . We had late lunch on Sunday here and we had the Buckwheat Pancakes with soya milk chai lattes..The locals come here so we thought it was a great place too..Heaps of free parking out front and big tables inside . Tidy Cafe with an emphasis on money made going back into the community. Friendly staff and organic food so something for everyone to enjoy. Loved the caramel slices for desserts which we took home as Pancakes were big and delicious. Read magazines and felt relaxed after our meals ..Children friendly too and lots of space inside and out for lots of friends..

My favourite local cafe. Just 5 mins drive down the road. Have been here several times and is my favourite place to go out for breakfast. Always get the bacon and eggs with extra chutney. Tastes and looks like a breakfast that you would get a B & B. You are looking at about $35 for two breakfast mains and drinks. Atmosphere is good, the place has been decked out with recycled and reclaimed chairs and timber. Has outdoor eating in the front and the back.
A clean, friendly, quiet cafe where you can hold a conversation--there's some road noise (Swanson road is busy) and some kitchen noise, of course, but they aren't big on the music so this is a pleasant place to lunch with friends and not have to raise your voice.
The Korero Breakfast is less generous than the equivalent dish at some other cafes, but it's still more than I can manage! I gather the components vary a little from time to time. Today it was thick toast, eggs, kumara rosti, mushrooms (oh, wow, the mushrooms!), bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, butter, and a slightly spicy tomato sauce/chutney. Very satisfying.
Wheelchair access is reasonable, parking plentiful. And for those who care, there are three Pokestops in range from the covered outdoor seating area. Not my local, but better than my local.
A small but neat little cafe at Ranui area. Discovered it while passing the area and really needed some coffee & lunch! It's located opposite to the Ranui library and the owner informed that it has been a community based cafe for years but only recently been refurbished and relaunched after the council upgraded the community building. I found the environment inviting, the take away goodies are quite creative (e.g. not the usual standard muffin flavours). I especially enjoy the fact that it's using local organic produces & catering special dietary requirement upon request. I can't wait to take my family to visit it during the weekend to enjoy their beautiful kai.
Their Facebook page has nice photos to showcase all the yummy dishes they have to offer! (Vegan options offered :)
I bought a caramel raspberry slice after playgroup one day and it was huge and only $5! It was soo yummy and it’ll now be a regular treat of mine :D
A great cafe with fabulous coffee and yummy as food at affordable prices. Staff are lovely. I'm a regular now, and keep going back.
Food could be better presented. Freeze dried raspberries and a swirl of maple syrup would have done wonders. Escalate ordinary into extraordinary
I had cheese macaroni-it was so yummy & very filling.great service..nice "warm" environment.Very spacious.I will be going back more regularly!.Thank you Cafe Korero !.
Lovely in there great food, coffee and service. I also like how there are options for in and outside seating with a kids play area.
Great coffee and had a really nice chicken pie. Atmosphere is good made up of different miss-matching chairs, tables but it works and looks good. Sat outside on a covered deck cause inside had a large gathering of cackling older ladies. Can get quite noisy inside. Area is clean and well maintained. Tables cleared and wiped regularly. Kitchen clean and food prepared carefully and hygienically, as customers can see it being prepared. Not a large variety but something can be found for all tastes. Great parking and would recommend.

Forgot how awesome this cafe was. Good to see that they only improved from what was already amazing a year ago. Must visit if you are in Auckland. Also its for a good cause.

A beautiful little café thats part of the community center. So eating here you will not just get great coffee and food but also contribute to good purpose as all profits goes to community center. The exterior and interior has been redone reusing materials from old buildings giving it heaps of character
Lovely space, plenty of outdoor seating, nice relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Coffee and eggs Benedict were very good. Pancakes had lots of nice fresh fruit plus whipped cream, options for bacon, etc.
My recommendation to the chef is to not overmix the batter, which makes the hotcakes tougher. Also would be nice with some wholemeal flour as well.
Very satisfying and pleasant meal for both of us.
Always busy looks good and friendly place
We popped in today for lunch and the food was delicious! We had the chicken & salad lunch box special, spinach & feta roll, zucchini chips and a beef roll. The staff are so kind hearted, helpful and happy. The cafe itself is fresh and vibrant with beautiful art for sale on the walls. Looking forward to dining here again.
