Just arrived in NZ for the first time and found my THE coffee place. Staff is great and flat white coffee as well. Great peaceful vibe in here. Thumbs up!
Had my 21st here, was just about the best 21st I could imagine having! Nathan and Leslie were so nice and friendly, and kept me up-to-date with everything throughout the night. The food was great! The place was so nice and beautiful, had an awesome photobooth with their wallpaper as the backdrop. Thank you guys so much for making it such a happy, lively and fun night to remember!
Awesome little cafe, I’ve been living in the area for 4 years and only recently stopped by on the weekend. Great mix of cabinet food (including LOADS of sweet things) otherwise you can order off the menu. Had a frittata and a butter chicken pie. The coffee was pretty good. Lovely service.

Tuihana is a great place to grab a delicious breakfast! They have a varied menu so you're sure to find something to please. Our pick? Has to be the Hash Stack. Amazing home made hashbrowns stacked with poached eggs, bacon and a delicious pesto sauce drizzled around the edge.. yum!
Great friendly service and coffee (large size will keep you going all day) This café was very clean and spacious. The breakfast pancakes plus eggs on home made bread? were a generous size, and more than enough and very tasty. Would be good to see more healthy options i.e wholemeal bread options in the food cabinet as far as lunch items go, but will def try one of the sweet treats available next time as they look delish. There is plenty of parking in the carpark beside the café. This café is in the building on the corner of View Road and Dominion Road. A portable sign on the corner a good idea.
Extensive and tasty breakfast menu, good coffees and yummy smoothies! Kid friendly too with staff that made us feel really welcome with our 1 year old daughter! Will definitely be going back often!!
This place deserves to be busier than it is.
A great range of homemade baking, decent coffee and a really interesting menu. Plus free wifi and no surcharge on public holidays.
I love their rewana bread, delicious!
Had a flat white and porridge this morning. The salted caramel was delicious on the porridge and gave a slightly different perspective on sweetness in breakfast.
The service was excellent (i understand we were served by the owner).
I wasn't keen on the way they had French toast on the menu so they did it exactly how I wanted it which was really good of them.
Beautiful little cafe.
We enjoyed our time at Tuihana. The service was really friendly, the interior is modern and clean, and the menu is interesting with great Kiwiana twists such as rewana and kawakawa.
We tried food from their brekkie menu - I had the buttermilk pancakes with salted caramel sauce, toasted macadamias, banana and bacon. This was really delicious and indulgent! It was also pretty big - I couldn't finish it. If you have a sweet tooth and love salted caramel, you should definitely check this out.
Hubby had the Tuihana mammoth breakfast. This was a fairly standard big breakfast, although he found it a little under seasoned.
Parking was a bit hard on a Sunday morning as the carpark was full (not sure why) so we had to find a park somewhere on the street, but it wasn't too far away. The place wasn't busy when we got there though, and it was good to see that this place has free WiFi. No kids' menu though, so our little one shared our meals.
Overall, a good experience. Would be keen to come back and try their lunch menu sometime.
It was quiet the morning we arrived but that was because it was a public holiday. I know it gets busy during the week as this was recommended by our son whose company eat here often. Hubby went for the Mammoth breakfast and I the eggs bene. My eggs bene was OK but hubby goes by size and the portions and taste got a thumbs up from him. I have a long black with hot trim on the side - some places forget the hot water, forget the milk is to be hot or forget the milk altogther. Not so here, our order was spot on. The decor is lovely and clean. The service was friendly and not in your face. As we left more people started drifting through the doors. Parking was also good that morning.
This is one place that you have to go more than once. The food is like art - looks amazing, tastes amazing. The pancakes were the best, going to have to make this a regular!
Delicious smoothies and lovely strong coffee. Family friendly. There's wheel chair access from the main building entrance and accessible toilets. The chips took a while but are really good
Good menu and the French toast was great!
Love the bright airy feeling of this cafe. Always friendly warm service and the food is tasty. They always remember what type of coffee I have . Parking down the side is easy
Very nice cafe. Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable space.
Both our coffee (flat whites) and food ( eggs & bacon and a gluten free white choc brownie) were just perfect.
The service was fast and the prices are in line with the quality of the product offered.
Will return soon!
All food food prepared by the cafe (home made). Friendly owners, good off street parking.
Great food, the comfortable décor is tasteful m of modern dining and the beauty of NZ landscape and fantastic service. Definitely a restaurant we can't help but keep wanting to return to.
The first time we came here, four of us turned up 30 mins before they closed, all wanting a full meal. The team were lovely and very accommodation, and the meals were all huge and super delicious!
Today we're here for the second time and the service is again fantastic. Our waitress remembers our orders from over a month ago and the meals are again delicious! Thank you so much Leslie and team, we really appreciate you!
Tuihana is a wonderful cafe and food store. Super service and friendly staff. Great for meetings of just for coffee. My team and I had an Awesome Christmas party and will definitely book again this year. Well done to Nate, Leslie and the team.
This excellent Cafe provides a range of tasty food, space for plenty of diners, a friendly welcome, and four dedicated car parks. It is very clean. Wide windows provide relaxing views of shrubs and trees.
Decent food, really good coffee (liking the jaffa!) and food is good. Only tried cabinet food so-far - wasn't bad. Excellent brownie though. Great service and a good atmosphere. Ideal for meetings also - free wifi.
Wow, lovely service and my meal was fantastic, my coffee delicious. This will be my choice when I am in the Mt Eden area. Thank you!
