Exquisitely incredibly rich and flavoursome dishes. One of my favourite restaurants in my life. The owner is a very kind, friendly and beautiful lady , and she is a head chef. All dishes is Thai Style food. My favourites are seafood and duck curriesas well as satey chicken skewers.

Great good, very consistent over many years. BYO restaurant next to kitchen with poor extraction so you get the full aroma of what they are cooking. I like the unpretentious old school NZ ethnic restaurant vibe.

Delicious! We are in town for a few weeks and have already been back a second time. We highly recommend the Lemon grass udon noodles and yellow curry - yum! The staff is super friendly and kind as well :)

I tried their traditional Nasi goreng twice here, certainly would recommend it to anyone. It's very tasty and a huge potion. You can probably share 2 of them with 3 adults, and still feel full. Friendly staff.

We live locally and thus place is without a doubt my favorite takeaway in the mt albert area, ot is also pleasant to dine in. The food us very fresh and healthy tasting.setving size is very large for one person so could potentially share meals

Had the panang curry, i literally could have ate bowl upon bowl of this delicious curry sauce. Soooooo good!! Also had the pad med mamuang, just so fresh and delicious, we had our spicy and i highly recommend. Vegetables were so crisp... will be back for sure. 1 rice between 2 people is enough!

We are lucky to live nearby and Lemon Grass is a total gem! Their Thai food is amazing and we’ve often fed large groups easily with a wide variety of dishes. But my biggest tip has to be - order your fish and chips from here! They are hands down amazing - fresh, batter is always crisp and they use lemon pepper! Absolute game changer. They are also so friendly - our fave in Mount Albert.

Can't name specific dishes but have enjoyed both a quiet sit down and takeaways from LG. The mixed entrees etc. always nice.<br/>The ladies (all cooks are) appear relaxed and casual all the time. The place can be packed and very busy w takeaways at standard times. <br/>I think early week @ 5pm'ish you get individual attentive service. <br/>Last visit was in Summer, but have been meaning to get back soon!

Great place to come the staff are so welcoming and attentive. We had the Tom Yum and Prawns to start both were amazing. Tom Yum full flavoured and authentic, prawns crisp batter on the outside juicy on the inside so good. For the mains I had pad Thai I found this a little sweet for my liking and the noodles just under but not bad and my partner had the Choo Chee fish he loved it plenty of fish depths of flavour, all dishes had plenty of protein in them, left more than satisfied overall will definitely be back :)

Good place, great staff, but can be hit and miss. Had some great meals and some not so great. The beef rendang tonight was almost inedible. Dry, lacking sauce and a mountain of toasted coconut made it an unusual dish. Have had it before and it was ok. <br/>

The girl wrote the wrong order down, she didn’t check it before I left. Went back to get correct order completely ruined my night with man friend, thanks a bunch. Veggies need to be cut Julienne. Wasn’t compensated either that would of made a huge difference for review.😠😡

Lemongrass is a great little local - super-friendly staff and really yummy food. A good mix of Thai, Malay and fresh fish and chips. Also has a cosy little eat in area which is BYO. Pad Thai is delicious and a generous portion.

Just picked up takeaways from Lemon Grass and was very pleased! Ordered the entree size chicken Tom kha the flavour was beautiful and size was generous with lots of chicken for only $8! Also got the chicken pad Thai which was huge and tasty. Will be going back!

Drive past this place every day and finally decided to try it. Service was so friendly - walked out with a smile on my face. Pad Thai definitely a winner and the yellow curry pretty good too. Keen to come back for a dine in experience because the vibes there were adorable!

Our favourite local Thai shop! Great customer service and fabulous food. The phad Thai is always a must have and many of the curries are incredible! We normally get takeaway which is always ready to go when you call and order first. Definitely a place to go if you like Thai food!!!

I'm a regular at Lemon Grass and it never disappoints! The crispy chicken salad and Mi Gorang are amazing. Took my partner here for the first time and he loved it just as much as I do. <br/>It's the perfect cheap eat, the ladies are always so friendly and happy. If you are looking for somewhere super casual with great food, this is the place!

Don't usually go out for Thai as I find the food has been quite oily and bland, however the food here tasted fresh and authentic. <br/>The service was wonderful. The staff were pleasant and we were well looked after throughout our meal. <br/>Definitely going back again!

This is a small place located near Unitec, Mt Albert.<br/><br/>You would not notice Lemon Grass unless you are looking in the direction where it is located. ( maybe they need more marketing )<br/><br/>Once you enter this place, the first impression is as if it's just another cafe that serves pies and puffs with a few curries. When you sit down and start ordering your food - you realise that the menu is very interesting.<br/><br/>The food tastes amazing and the service is quick. Maybe considering the size and the location of this place, the dishes are slightly overpriced.<br/><br/>Overall its a good experience and I won't hesitate to come back again.

The food I tried (Pad Thai and Fried Rice) were absolutely delicious and rather different (in a good way!). I was really impressed with the extremely fresh ingredients and good proportion of veges and meats in both dishes. Both dishes also were not very oily unlike most thai/malay takeaways The chicken in the dishes was extremely tender, good quality and delicious at Lemon Grass - unlike it sometimes can be in takeaway dishes. <br/><br/>The service was incredibly great - I think it was a family run business, where everyone was genuinely happy working there. The restaurant interior was very nice and simple and clean and looked inviting, although we did not stay to eat there and ordered takeaways.

I absolutely loved the meal I have just eaten tonight, prawn pad thai made thai hot, even the hot chips they make taste like they've been cooked in fresh oil to crispy perfection on the outside and fluffy in the middle, YUM!

HORRIBLE food. The so called beef Rendang was not beef Rendang. Why say they can do it when it is clearly beef thrown into a syrupy sauce?. I could not get past the cheesey smell of the chicken curry.. The spring rolls were tasteless. What a waste of money!!!!

Lemon grass Thai is amazing! It's tasty with traditional thai cuisine ingredients. Their chicken cashew stir fry is delish! I would definitely recommend it! English speaking owners who are very efficient for this petit family run business. Is great to dine in for a BYO with friends and share dishes or takeaway with a movie!!

I was very impressed with Lemon Grass. Had nasi goreng and mussaman curry to share as takeaways last night. Perfectly spiced in my opinion and the portion sizes were HUGE. The two of us could not get through these two mains!! (Lunch next day 😊😊). The staff were exceptionally friendly. Def will be back.

My partner and I went for dinner last night - birthday celebration. We live just around the corner and have been meaning to try it. The staff was lovely and the food was fast and delicious! We each had a soup to start and then laksa, larb, and curry to share as mains. Asked for Thai hot - could have been a bit hotter, but I'll ask next time. You can tell they really know what they're cooking. I can't wait to go back with friends! We have definitely found our new local BYO spot.

Lemon Grass is our absolute favourite Thai! We feel so lucky that are just up the road. The staff are so genuine and kind, remembering our favourite orders and taking care of our sons needs. <br/>The ingredients they use are amazing - no packet veges here - all fresh! And you can taste the difference. Our favourites are the yellow curry, pad khing and the nasi goreng (fried rice). The spring rolls and satay skewers are the perfect starters. <br/>We often dine in, but we also order takeaway, and it's equally as fresh and delicious. <br/>I'd go as far as saying that Lemon Grass are the best Asian food you can get in the Mount Albert shops area. We love it!

Very good Malaysian food and pleasant friendly service. The Tom yum soup was full of flavour and a generous amount of prawns (3). Restaurant wasn't that busy but takeaways were flying out the door.

This place offers one of the best Tom Yum soups I have tasted in a long time. The favors were deep and fresh and I could have had a couple of servings. This was followed by the chicken curry with roti which again was s great dish. Service was friendly with a smile.

A little disappointed with the food at Lemon Grass. Malaysian food normally has a lot of punch and beautiful strong flavours, but our char kway teow and nasi goreng were seriously lacking spice and flavour.

Wow I had hear the buzz locally about this place so checked it out early on Saturday night it was amazing. The portions were huge, the prices very reasonable and my fish sambal was one of the better I have had. The vegetables were fresh and the quality of the meals was excellent. I loved the Malaysian and Thai options. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It was a small family style restaurant and perfect for busy parents having a date night locally.

Really really good food.<br/>Love the staff, super friendly and seem to really care about the food.<br/>My faves are the the seafood laksa, pad ped talay, char kuey teow! But I am sure it is all nice. <br/>Bit pricier than other places BUT this is fair because they use high quality ingredients and vegetables. Definitely give them a try! If I am feeling a bit down I go here to cheer myself up and warm myself up - this is the sign of a good restauraunt I reckon :) <br/>In only give a 4.5 because there is always room for improvement eh!

Beautiful food, cooked with heart by two lovely women. Really friendly and inviting atmosphere. Generous portions, quality ingredients, fresh veggies. A couple of dollars more than elsewhere but there is a reason for this and it really is worth it! I would highly recommend this place. p.s The laksa is really good.
