Had the panang curry, i literally could have ate bowl upon bowl of this delicious curry sauce. Soooooo good!! Also had the pad med mamuang, just so fresh and delicious, we had our spicy and i highly recommend. Vegetables were so crisp... will be back for sure. 1 rice between 2 people is enough!
We are lucky to live nearby and Lemon Grass is a total gem! Their Thai food is amazing and we’ve often fed large groups easily with a wide variety of dishes. But my biggest tip has to be - order your fish and chips from here! They are hands down amazing - fresh, batter is always crisp and they use lemon pepper! Absolute game changer. They are also so friendly - our fave in Mount Albert.
Can't name specific dishes but have enjoyed both a quiet sit down and takeaways from LG. The mixed entrees etc. always nice.
The ladies (all cooks are) appear relaxed and casual all the time. The place can be packed and very busy w takeaways at standard times.
I think early week @ 5pm'ish you get individual attentive service.
Last visit was in Summer, but have been meaning to get back soon!
Our family favourite restaurant. Our local. If you love a great duck curry. This is the place. My partner can’t go past the Rendang. Amazing.
Great food, tasty entrees and the best char kuey teow we've tasted. Service was great, friendly and efficient. Food tasted fresh. Will definitely go back.
Great place to come the staff are so welcoming and attentive. We had the Tom Yum and Prawns to start both were amazing. Tom Yum full flavoured and authentic, prawns crisp batter on the outside juicy on the inside so good. For the mains I had pad Thai I found this a little sweet for my liking and the noodles just under but not bad and my partner had the Choo Chee fish he loved it plenty of fish depths of flavour, all dishes had plenty of protein in them, left more than satisfied overall will definitely be back :)
absolutely amazing would highly recommend staff are amazing friendly food has always been good never had any issues! :) the chicken udon has to be my favorite, always to quick to make.
Lemongrass is a great little local - super-friendly staff and really yummy food. A good mix of Thai, Malay and fresh fish and chips. Also has a cosy little eat in area which is BYO. Pad Thai is delicious and a generous portion.

Just picked up takeaways from Lemon Grass and was very pleased! Ordered the entree size chicken Tom kha the flavour was beautiful and size was generous with lots of chicken for only $8! Also got the chicken pad Thai which was huge and tasty. Will be going back!
Fresh and delicious. Great Pad Thai, great Laksa and lovely service. Always nice a hot when you take it home, tasty and fresh. Great value for money too.
Great little spot to dine in and the food was delicious and the value was alright, just beware the small sizes (entre size) is quite small but it's yum food and the atmosphere is great and the staff is very nice. Overall a happy experience
Beautiful fish, fresh and perfectly cooked snapper and terakihi. Chips were a touch undercooked but still good.

Exquisitely incredibly rich and flavoursome dishes. One of my favourite restaurants in my life. The owner is a very kind, friendly and beautiful lady , and she is a head chef. All dishes is Thai Style food. My favourites are seafood and duck curriesas well as satey chicken skewers.
Stumbled across this gem of a place, super friendly, best spring rolls I’ve ever had, super fresh food and ingredients, delicious satay chicken, and Penang curry. Thank you. I’ll be back to try more dishes
Wow, what an incredible experience we had tonight at lemongrass. The service from the young sir was impeccable. The food crafted by the team out the back was phenomenal. 10/10 recommend.
Great good, very consistent over many years. BYO restaurant next to kitchen with poor extraction so you get the full aroma of what they are cooking. I like the unpretentious old school NZ ethnic restaurant vibe.
Not gonna lie, very impressed with this place. We had mee goreng and laksa and they were both delicious. Already wanna order more! Coming back again tonight. It's hard to find a place that's reasonably priced and delicious these days.
The most comforting restaurant with the most friendliest staff I've been to. I promise you there isn't going to be anywhere else that you have Tom yum soup as good as they served.
Delicious! We are in town for a few weeks and have already been back a second time. We highly recommend the Lemon grass udon noodles and yellow curry - yum! The staff is super friendly and kind as well :)
