This is my favorite rice noodle place. There are many options on the menu here, but every time I come there are only a few items available to order. You have the option of dry and soup to choose, the level of spiciness is optional. One serving is a big bowl of noodles.
It's small with 14 seats, traditionally decorated in the style of a family.

Great place to sit down for some very authentic and healthy Chinese cuisine! Their star dish, Traditional Guilin Noodles, was an amazing example of Chinese cuisine. Light on the stomach and delicious most of all! Great example of a Chinese noodle restaurant :)

Just like the rice noodles I had in Guilin China. Very tasty, quite spicy. I have a very low spice tolerance, but I deal with it to eat here as it’s so good. Big portions, and the vegetarian options are just as good!

Plenty of soup options for your rice noodles and even gives you the option to choose a different type of noodle if rice noodles is not what you want. Each bowl also comes with a complimentary top up of another small portion of noodle. The 2 rice noodles we had ( 1 spicy and 1 non spicy) both tasted really yummy. Price is pretty affordable too ($13 per bowl) which is cheaper than most other places especially with the additional portion which makes 1 bowl probably enough for 1 adult and 1 child.

We ordered the traditional noodles which the host kindly explained how to eat these. I love being able to eat the noodles dry and had the option to have noodle soup. <br/><br/>You get one extra serve of noodle and toppings per person which is great. You definitely don’t leave hungry! <br/><br/>The noodles were chewy, tasty and full of flavour. <br/><br/>The service was fantastic and the host was extremely kind and cheerful. Highly recommend!

service is good, but the noodle is so so. Comparing with the real Guilin noodle I had in China , this restaurant use much less ingredients. I can't feel much flavor in this noodle. and the photo in menu look much better than the actual one

Their signature guilin rice noodle is the to go!! Tasty clear bone broth goes perfectly well with their toppings like the crispy pork, braised thin cut beef, roasted peanuts, bamboo shoots, preserved green beans brings the soup to another whole new level. Get your choice of spicy level and I recommend mild as u can taste the soup well with a subtle kick. Comes also with a half hard boiled egg. So dzamn good!!<br/><br/>Another thing to note is, u can always ask for extra soup or noodle without any extra charges!! Also on the table has their 'lu Sui!' for u to add on when u ask for extra soup,bring that braised beef sauce back into that broth. ❤️😍

I've visited this place with my friends from China and have tried multiple versions of the rice noodles availavle. The food is absolutely delicious (not for the faint of heart), full of flavor and chilli. According to my friends it resembles in flavor to the food you can have in Southern China which is amazing. I relish the spices and even thinking about them makes me want to go back again.<br/><br/>One recommendation/personal preference though, I enjoyed the dishes better when I asked for the soups separately, rather than in the noodles.

Came in for a family dinner tonight. Ordered the pork mince rice noodles, the traditional guilin roast pork rice noodles, sliced beef and tripe in chilli sauce and the shanghai bok choy. The rice noodles felt like they were handmade. They were the perfect noodle texture. Not too thin or thick. Blended into the spicy broth, the flavours overlapped, indulging my palate and burning my throat while melting my heart. The mince was finely diced to the perfect size, allowing us to taste its original flavour while also absorbing some spicy broth. The egg was soft and fluffy, mingling with the noodles down my throat. Sliced beef and tripe in chilli sauce was delicious. The meat was thinly sliced and was able to soak in the perfect amount of chilli sauce. This restaurant also gave out free rice noodle refills. Fried rice was also amazing. It was spicy and the egg yolks and whites were scrambled separately.

Revisit after a great experience early this year. <br/>They redeco the restaurant. The photos on the wall give some idea about Guilin. The traditional lamps suit the restaurant. The traditional hats on the wall are also lovely. Bring the place to next level. <br/>Noodles here taste good. Recommend to order the noodle with mild. The chilies are way too spicy for me.

I don't know people gave the lovely restaurant such a low score. After all, it's one of my favourite restaurants in Auckland. The Guilin style rice noodle is absolutely authentic, you can determine it's authentic from the marinade source on the table. The soup base is made from pork bones, I know it's the soup made from real thing - it's not made from chemical stuff. I've tried 70% of the menus, most of them are lovely especially Marinade Tofu, Guilin Rice Noodle, Spicy Pork Skin, etc. However, there's several dishes I don't want to order again like Margarya Soup Rice Noodle. The last tip is the chilli here is quiet spicy, ask for mild spicy if you're not that good with it.

That is not soy sauce, but it is beef broth. The noodles are yummy and so is the soup! I really enjoyed the beef noodles and the vegetarian ones.

Minimum topping to say the least, broth is not real, tastes like soy sauce dissolved in hot water. They are pretty generous in soy sauce though!!!

I would recommend Guilin Rice Noodle at this place. It gives a combination of beef and roasted pork with half egg, which is great. Other options doesn't have a combination.<br/>I would say the quality of the food is at average level. I think the sour is the most important thing for noodle soup. Their soup is at average level, but a little bit higher than others that I tried in AKL. That's why I gave 4 star.

A small restaurant on dominion rd, mount Eden side. The owner was very polite and service attentive. Food was actually more like home made, lacking restaurant's formality, however taste was not good. Price was reasonable.

The soup didn't have much flavour but noodles definitely the highlight.<br/>Small restaurant which was quite busy while we were there. Didn’t expect much but nothing special <br/>Went in at around 5 for an early dinner and there were only a few people inside. <br/>I ordered braised beef noodles with not spicy soup, came pretty quickly. A little bit disappointed when I tried the braised beef because they tasted nothing and was not tender as expected. The soup was too plain and I had to add lots of noodle sauce (provided on the table). Good thing is that you can add noodles once if you are hungry. The extra bowl of noodles was huge and definitely filling after eating that.<br/>Staff were friendly and service was quick but nothing special with food though

Tasty Guilin rice noodles the first in Auckland. Precise thickness, smooth and white. The noodles are made in house. You won’t be disappointed. They also offer free top up too. I tried it once and I’m hooked. Price is fair. Nice place.

Came here for lunch. <br/>Got the Braised Beef Rice Noodles and Pork Intestines Rice Noodles. <br/>You get a big portion of rice noodles, meat and all rice noodle dishes come with fried yellow beans, spring onions and pickled radish. <br/>Some dishes can be served without soup too! <br/><br/>Braised beef was tender and soft, absolutely melted in the mouth! Rice noodles are Store-bought ones though, you can tell from the chewiness and consistency and that hint of powdery taste left on the tongue that hand-made noodles won’t usually have. Nothing exciting about the flavours though, my mother can make better rice noodles.<br/><br/>Service was friendly though. Nice casual place for a quick stopover if you wanted some soup and noodles on Dominion Rd. These two dishes will set you back by $25. <br/><br/>Price: 8/10<br/>Food: 6/10 <br/>Ambience: 6/10<br/>Service: 8/10

Good place for Guilin rice noodles, the crispy pork and preserved meat toppings were really tasty. They offer free refill for soup and noodles, which was great. <br/><br/>The staff was not really professional and were casual clothes only. Also the soup base was salty. Recommend to try dry noodles rather than the noodles with soup.

The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, they even accommodated our friend's dog in their backyard which we're grateful of! Would recommend this place if you're super hungry.. they do free top ups! Came here for a late lunch because my mate and I love guilin rice noodles. Haven't had any good authentic ones since our trip to China 8 years ago. Came here and was greeted immediately, staff is very friendly and welcoming. We got seated right away and there's a variety of selections available which is good! Price is affordable and food came out fairly quick and it tasted amazing! It definitely reminded me of the original ones from China! Girlfriend loved it and it was her first time trying . Would def recommend others to come. Only constructive feedback I would give is the location/lighting of the area, from the outside, the place itself looked rather dark and we thought it was closed until we walked upfront. Def if there were better lighting people would notice it better.

Went here for lunch because we love Guilin rice noodles too much. The service was good, we walked in and was seated immediately. Ordered the A0, the tradition Guilin rice noodles. The food came out really quickly! The soup was seasoned nicely and the noodles were delicious. We were asked whether we were full and if you’re not, you can still order a bowl of rice noodles for free! I totally recommend trying this restaurant! Will be back soon :)
