I had tried one of their mee goreng and it was really nice. It was quite different from other places since it had a distinct sambal flavour in the noodles.
The shop is a small area across the road from Rainbows End. There are other stores and restaurants around too and this one looks to be the smallest. They have a few tables inside. The menu looks interesting and would be keen to try more when I'm in the area, particularly the sago.
We had nasi goreng, nasi lemak, mee goreng and roti canai with chicken curry. All were really delicious 😋
Loved this little place! It’s the closest Malaysian food outlet to us and whenever we crave for a hearty Malaysian meal we go here. Good price, friendly service, generous portion and yummy dishes!
This has been my go to place since they’ve opened. The hokkien noodles is DIVINE. Other favourite dishes are the laksa, marmite pork and nestum prawns!
Oh man I'm sad I didn't take photos for this one but let me tell you I will be back . If you are wanting value for money this is the place to go! No the interior is not fancy but the staff really care about the customers. And the food!!
I got a chicken laksa and my partner got Malaysian Chicken curry on rice . My laksa was spicy but flavorful , you know the kinda spice that hits you but it taste so good you can't stop eating . The noodles ! Pretty sure they were hand made cause I could still taste the flour on them ! Amazing! My partners chicken was so tender it was filling of the bone well trying to pick it up. Just so flavorful and juicy!
Your guys food is amazing and great value for money . We will back to try more things off your extensive menu! Hope your happy with some new regulars 😬💞
Good food for a good price. If you're Malaysian you will like this place especially when the chef is from Ipoh.
The wait here can be a while hence the 4. But otherwise friendly service and good food. Highly recommend.
Thick, creamy and flavoursome laksa. Best you can get in south Auckland and for only $10! More veges in the curry would be nice but to be honest not too phased
For $10 chicken curry laksa is the best value meal in Manukau area! Wait can be long if gets busy as most of the time it's only the husband and wife team only.
If you don't mind the wait then do try here as a cheap eat option when you are around here.
It was tasty, the Nasi Lemak was very good and came with the nuts and dried fish and so was the Laksa. The roti was as good as you are going to find it here in NZ (it's not the same as Malaysia but it's tasty). The roast duck was a tad salty but the service was friendly, portions massive and price was fantastic.

Indeed YUMMY! Big portions as well! My husband and I ordered Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng and Chicken Laksa, and everything is just authentic! Their Nasi Lemak needs more sides (dried fish, peanuts and sambal) other than that it’s all good.
Can’t wait for our next visit and will order the Hainanese Chicken, repeat order Laksa and mee goreng ❤️
Staff are smiling and nice to us.
Don’t be fooled by the atmosphere. We’ve been coming here for years. If we feel like flavourful Malaysian and local, yummy kitchen is our go to.
Good number of vegetarian options, which is great. The items we tried were delicious. Friendly owner/operators. Highly recommended and will be back to try more of the vegetarian options.
1 of the best salted fish fried rice I have eaten in a long time.
Great place to get takeaways. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. I've tried a lot of places but I would have to say the fried rice and mee groeng was the best I've had so far. Simple and delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is portion size is smaller when compared to other Chinese restaurants, but overall good food and service. Parking can be difficult to find in front of the shop especially on weekends, best to park off street and walk to the restaurant.
Authentic, delicious and affordable Malaysian cuisine. We tried the char koay teow, mee goreng and curry laksa. Great wok hay taste and delicious. Can get busy so be prepared for longer wait times or order in advanced.
Update: went again after a long time being away and it’s just as good as I remember. We had the laksa and it was so flavoursome. The staff were so lovely and food was just the right amount of spice.
This is an under-rated little gem of a restaurant. It is nothing flash and lacking in decor, but the food is top-notch, cheap with large portions. Service is fast and I never regret stopping by.
I often visit my parents in Auckland, dad knows a lot of good Malaysian food spots in Auckland. He took me to this one and said hands down best char kuey teow in Auckland. Food was great, even had a bit of my mums chicken rice! The chili they use there definitely has a kick so be wary! Overall a quite satisfying meal before heading off to the airport. Highly recommended
Loved the egg tofu. Quite a lot of vegetarian options and can do allium free.
Very good food if you are into Malaysian. Try their curry puff. Prices are very reasonable.
After eating at various 'western' diners the first 2 days in Manukau, we were craving for some flavors of home (ok Malaysia is not my home but the food is close enough). Finally found this diner thru Google maps. First time here I ordered the Malay Curry Beef Brisket Rice and Malaysian Wat Dan Hor. The curry beef in particular was amazing. Wife was gushing over the Hor Fun saying it's better than any zichar Hor Fun she had eaten in Singapore. Oh and the owner also served us hot Chinese tea which "saved our lives" on that frigid day. First time eating such legit Malaysian dishes in Auckland. We came back here the next day and tried the Char Kway Teow and Rendang Chicken on Rice. Both were awesome as expected. Will definitely come back again if I ever come back to Manukau.
