A lovely, warm space, kind and feiendly service and great authentic food, some of it conpletwly new for me.
We had 3 vegetarian dishes - gulai nangka(curry with tofu and jackfruit), mie goreng(egg noodels with vegetables) and tempeh bandung(sauteed tempeh with green beans), and loved them! It was our first time trying tempeh and jackfruit and it was a great experience.

The ayam Penyet and salted caramel brownie were both delicious. The ayam Penyet especially was bigger than what I thought, and the staff owner was very helpful.
Celebrate my wige birthday and the restaurant is really amazing. The portion is very generous, not too spicy for Ayam Penyet. Missing the tofu and tempe though, but the chicken is plentiful. I enjoyed the atmosphere
Java & Bali ‘mom’s kitchen’ inspired Indo-Thai food (yes - it’s as delicious as it sounds). The light, bright Bandung Slaw was perfect for a 26℃ day in sunny Auckland. I had it with poached chicken which MELTED beautifully in the mouth leaving pangs of sesame/ginger. If you don’t like fruit in your salad (your wrong, it’s amazing and…) what I had won’t be your thing but there are many Thai-style wok stirfry, noodle dishes, satay or puff fried starters and tempting curries I will most definitely be back for. I loved it. The wait person was really kind and patient with me - the outdoor area is a shady sanctuary and they serve bangin’ frozen margaritas 💕
This is a bit of a fun find! You must go all the way through the cafe, past the kitchen to the tropical oasis out the back! The squid was ok (slightly overcooked) & the cocktails my friend had looked delightful! A lovely looking menu that I’m definitely tempted to go back for!
I'm sorry I didn't try Bandung sooner it's an absolute treat, and such a lovely addition to an otherwise pretty tired stretch of Parnell Road. We just wanted a light lunch so ordered some entrees to share, with house sodas. Everything was lovely, fresh, house-made and beautifully presented. The service was lovely and they've done a great makeover on the premises (formerly the Strawberry Alarm clock café). We will definitely be back.
Beautiful authentic Indonesian food with fresh ingredients, Nasi Goreng is always a classic and Bandung delivers great taste and quality. Have tried other items on the menu which are just as tasty and worth trying. I am working my way through the menu 😋. The Dutch fries are really moreish and a reliable sides. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they even have a courtyard area which is great for sunny and warm days. Highly recommended! Also Esmerelda, Cleo, Julie & Clarissa and whole team are so friendly, welcoming and genuine, making this my favourite local spot in Parnell.
Delicious non alcoholic cocktails for $9. This is a lychee spritz which was lovely, not too sweet. The alcoholic version was only $8 more. Squid rings were a yummy snack
Beautiful little gem hidden on the main strip of Parnell, a must try. Our table set up was beautiful. The ambience is amazing. Our meals was delicious, we will definitely be coming back. *excellent customer service..100%
