Came with my wife for her birthday lunch. Fusion Food & this place is a hidden jewel in Parnell!! The food is amazing especially the refined bowl pork belly. Our palate was blown with yummy flavors! Their signature dish is no1! When ordering go for the star next to the dish which sometimes help if you have too many choices to choose from. The service is excellent! And friendly and great vibe and ambience! Coffee? Yes love it! Everyone that went there I overheard how good the coffee is! Great place for meetings and coffee. Can’t wait to return again with more people

Quick and attentive service, plated beautifully and delicious! Not too long a wait for food despite 4 orders of chicken waffles! Beautifully decorated for Christmas, great spot with some paid parking around (we paid $4.50 for two hours). The P-nut smoothie was yum, although not so smooth, a little chunky. Chicken was wonderful on all counts!

Great staff with great food. The team is always super friendly and accommodating to our small dog. Their food is consistently top notch and different to other cafes that we keep coming back. Their dishes are always well plated and generously portioned. I’d recommend going earlier in the day as they are quite popular and sometimes can run out ingredients for the dish you want! But that means they do great food!

Great friendly service and it didn't take too long for our orders to arrive. Southern fried chicken burger was delicious as were the fries. Coffee was nice. We arrived at 11.30am and it was nice and quiet, it did pick up after 12pm. Parking in the main road was $2.50 /hr

Nice decor, great service. Food was beautifully presented. Nice little explosion to the taste buds for a Sunday brunch. Chook Bao, filling and scrumptious. Husband loved the Waffles, crispy chicken, bacon drizzled in maple syrup. Great combo with the sirachi mayo. Good place to sit and watch Tesla’s drive by. Coffee could be a touch hotter.

Cosy place for brunch or tea. Enjoyed the meal so much. Must try here if you like chicken and want to stick to your favourite no matter breakfast or afternoon tea. Photos would say more for them, just swing by and give it a try. Highly recommended

We opened the door and were greeted with a cacophony of sound. There’s a lot of tables crammed in and the decor isn’t designed to absorb sound. We decided to get amongst and enjoy Sunday lunch from our window table where we could watch the world go by. The menu covers brunch and lunch usuals, but with an Asian influence. My husband opted for the Royale poached eggs and salmon, which he proclaimed very tasty but small. I opted for the Refined Bowl, which had a risotto base, rather than the usual quinoa or buckwheat or other grain, and cake with salmon, tempura egg, endamame. The flavours were good, but the risotto was a little too wet. All in all, a good experience, but not amazing.

Loved this place right in the middle of Parnell! Staff are wonderful and there is a great selection of food. We both ordered the chicken waffles which was lovely and just the right portion size. Great presentation as well.

Came here to The Refinery for breakfast, the coffee that I had tasted perfect. I also ordered the Sweet As waffles and they were way better than your standard waffles. Will definitely come back again!

I've been here a couple of times with friends and family. Always lovely people to greet you. I wasn't able to take a photo of some, but the food I eat is always great! I used to order their waffle everytime I visit, but tried the Roti with Pork belly which was so flavourful it's my new fave. Portion vs price is pretty good (can't finish some which means they're big). Hope drefinery team is doing good! It's a cozy cafe, neat and tidy with good selection of ambient music (not too loud which I like so I can hear people talk). Please come support local business like them, they're so nice!

So it was birthday brunch n went there expecting beautiful food and we were right. So we ordered Eggs Benedict - good food but only thing I didn't like was hollandaise sauce which looked either split or it was too runny.<br/>Veg breakfast platter - it was really good n jam was yummy. 9 out of 10<br/>Korean Chicken with fries - beautifully cooked n spiced. 9 out of 10.<br/><br/>Overall amazing experience and amazing ambience n food.<br/>Will surely return.. soon.<br/>

I have expected too much maybe. I have visited here after 230 and the server said I can not use Zomato 25% off after 230 because their kitchen was closed. But they said if I do not use Zomato membership they can provide food. Was not happy but ordered mokas, ice mocka and waffle buger and pancakes. Mokas, Waffle buger, ice moka were good but not pancakes. Do not order pancakes if you visit. Not worth it. Am I gonna visit there again? No

The fried 🐓 was great. Nice n crunchy! And extremely filling. The deep fried bao was nice but I never tasted the Nutella so not sure if it was in the desert. Staff were friendly and attentive

Went to the D’refinery on Saturday around noon, they were really busy. We were told about the wait time but we were not too bothered. Excellent chicken waffles, flavours worked well and the coffee was excellent. Great customer service

Never disappointed come to eat here. Their friendly service is plus point! I really love their chicken taste so good should try their menu with any chicken on it 😂, and last visit I tried roti with pork belly cooked in hoshin sauce, it taste nice.<br/>As always I love their iced chai almond, and request it less sugar its super good!! Really reccomended for having brunch in here!

The food was good, <br/><br/>I went here mid afternoon after the coronavirus lockdown. There were 2 other tables there when we arrived. <br/><br/>The team was friendly but took over 25 minutes to receive our meals which is questionable considering it was not busy at all. And there was a couple who walked in after us who received their food before us which was interesting.

Delicious food and great staff, but incredibly long waiting time. Was told it would be 25 minutes (approx) for food, but waited an hour. Admittedly there were a few larger groups of people, but the wait time was a bit out of hand.

Both the waffle burger and the chicken and waffles were delicious. Great service too. I ordered a beetroot latte but was disappointed to find the powder mix the make it from was heavy on cinnamon. I was very surprised to find out the matcha and the other latte mix (turmeric?) all had cinnamon as an ingredient. Take that was a warning if you’re not a fan of being left with a powdery, cinnamon mouth. They were very understanding and took it off the bill, which was great.

Lovely service and amazing food! Tastebuds were definitely amazed. However it seems like the waiting time for meals to be cooked is an ongoing issue based on previous reviews as well. We ended up waiting for about 45 mins. Absolutely loved the food however unsure if we would come back again considering the long waiting duration.

Came here with my mum for her birthday. Great selection of food. I had the chicken waffle and the morning blush drink. The waffle was super fluffy with just the right amount of maple syrup. Was able to use my zomato gold which was a bonus.

Been wanting to try this place for so long and finally got to. We got their Lean Mean Green smoothie 🥤and black coffee☕️ to cure our hangover. They were so refreshing especially on a hot day🏜.<br/>D'refinery Tower: Smashed avo🥑 on potato rosti 🥔is always a good choice for brunch food. Spiced eggplant is what was amazing, never loved eggplant🍆 this much! Potato allumette was a great touch to the dish, taste amazing with all the spices 🌶on the plate. *<br/>*<br/>Deep Fried Bao: this dish caught our eyes pretty quickly so we decided to try it. Deep fried Bao with vanilla ice cream🍦 in the middle, Nutella🍯 and fairy floss☁️ all together was just perfection! Good serving to share after a meal. <br/>My friend also got watermelon salad, how does that look! Overall we are definitely coming back for another brunch and coffee.

Food was really nice as was the iced mocha! Service was top notch too. Only flaw in our experience was the fries. We would’ve liked some fries that don’t feel like they’ve been bought at countdown and fried up or something that looks like maccas fries. Have had coffee from here many times - always perfect and with warm friendly service. Stopped for eggs Benedict today and it was exceptional. One of the most refined and beautifully cooked breakfasts I can remember having. Perfect poached eggs, one atop a slice of brioche and the other, a perfectly crisped rosti. Delicate hollandaise, bacon, prosciutto, a small pile of spinach and a couple of pieces of crisp and slightly sweet pork crackling. All plated with care and every mouthful pure pleasure. The meals here are not huge but incredible value for the extra love and quality of ingredients that goes into them. Superb!

Waited over an hour and our food still hadn't arrived. We were told there would be a bit of a wait when we ordered, but we weren't expecting that long... We were fed up, so decided to go inside and cancel our order - no apology or refund, just an "Oh okay" - we still paid for our drinks, and left.

After arriving on Saturday morning and ordering our food, we were left waiting for almost an hour for our food to arrive. After asking the waiter when it would arrive we were told it was ready in two minutes, and watched as it was given to another table that arrived only 20 minutes earlier. We quickly cancelled our order and left, after paying for our small iced drinks, with little apology from staff. Won't be coming back again.

Stumbled across this beautiful cafe with a very nice menu. 3 people dining. Was very conflicted on what to get but it felt like there was a unique twist to all the classics that gives this cafe its own identify. Very good friendly service and the food was just so amazing. Have to definitely come back! I can only review I can give is the eggs benny as that was what I consumed. The ham was a nice change but what made the benny so good was a brioche and rosti mix and the spinach to give it some colour.

ExCrew from a five star hotel set up this cafe. Good ideas, but still need to refine a few things. Staff need to be better trained yet, but okay for a new cafe. Food quality can be better too to ensure freshness - we had rotten grapes on our plate.<br/><br/>I hope the food and service continue to improve as the business grows. All the best.

The taste was very good but the portion size was quite small. We were very hungry but weren't satisfied with two dishes and ended up eating other things afterwards. I went to eat the D'refinery bowl they used to have but it seems like the got rid of it which was disappointing.

Came in today for brunch. We had the two big breakfasts, the normal one and the vegetarian one. Favourite part of the meal was the fruits tbh. Mushrooms were second. Thought it was super interesting how they used eggplant as a substitute for bacon and managed to make it look quite similar.

It took 20mins for our order to be taken just to be told 3 items on the menu could not be served due to not having the ingredients. Food took a long time to come out. Upside the coffee was nice and the beef burger was yummy

Have been to D’Refinery twice now, and for the most part it has been a really good experience. Firstly the service is always 5/5. Really patient and friendly - especially when I went in a large group. Always appreciate servers who can deal with annoyingly loud customers (oops). <br/><br/>The first time I went was on a Saturday around 1pm and unfortunately they had run out of quite a few ingredients so we couldn’t order some of the options on the menu. Although they did make up for this by suggesting different versions of the same meals (ie. substituting different meats etc). They are also amazing at accommodating changes to the menu. <br/><br/>So far I have tried the baos (pork version not chicken), chicken and waffles personally. These two meals were both amazing and really good serving sizes. My friends have tried the Kokka Doodle salad, chicken burger, Big Veggie Breakie and the French toast. All the meals have been good portion sizes for the price even without zomato good. The French toast unfortunately was very overcooked and wasn’t very eggy either so was like eating toast which was unfortunate. Coffee was also strong and reasonably priced. <br/><br/>Overall I would still go again because the food experience I have had is very good, and is definitely worth the price.

The interior and food was nice. I would say it was good overall. But the waffle burger is not what I expected.

Rating: 3.5. Fairly mundane looking from the outside, almost lacking in character. The decor inside was a simple with injections of some greenery. The service was very friendly. I got the savoury waffle with the Karaage chicken. It’s an interesting combo, individually the waffle & the chicken were good, but together I though it was a bit dried & bland, really lacking a good sauce to join the both elements together.

Staff were lovely. Helped on suggestions where they could and were open to alter based on dietary requirements. The chicken waffles and chicken burger were nice. However the French toast was very dry and came out burnt with no maple syrup on it. Big vegetarian breakfast isn’t really big at all. Overall great service however food was a little bit of a let down.

Friendly service, great range on menu, taste was great. The only thing is maybe portion sizes could have been bigger for the big B. ^^ It was my first chicken waffle experience. I loved it! Not too much butter or maple, and the chicken were crisp and tender. They made me a small fruit salad at my request because I was feeling guilty about not having fruit or veggie too!

Awesome place for breakfast and brunch. Great service and amazing food. We had the D’Refinery Tower with the rosti,bacon, avocado and a fried egg, everything was well<br/>seasoned and rosti was the star for me. Have to say though that portion is quite small but you geet what you pay for. Also had the Waffles and fried chicken, whats not too like? soft sweet waffles with crispy crumbed boneless chicken with a swirl of honey. not too oily and taste was onpoint. Will definitely recommend this place.

We ordered the waffle burger and chicken waffle. The chicken waffle was good, although we found the maple syrup wasn't spiced and it slightly overpowered the whole dish making it more sweet rather than savory - a more generous amount of sriracha aioli would have also been great! Aside from this, this cafe has a cosy vibe, the staff were friendly and their iced chai latte was super! 👌

So today me and mum wanted to go out for lunch and I’d been meaning to try the new sweet as brioche French toast 😍 I got the Sweet as (French toast), mum got the chicken waffles and we got the deep fried bao to share although we ended up sharing all of it anyway ahaha it was that damn good! The French toast was toasted perfectly just as I like my French toast to be, I loved that it came with vanilla icecream, Nutella syrup that you drizzle over and loved the addition of fresh fruit and oh my, the caramelised banana 😍. Everytime I’ve been here the food looks so aesthetically pleasing! The icecream and Nutella syrup complemented the French toast very well that I forgot I was eating toast after lunch time 😂😍. The chicken waffles were literally heaven too, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the waffle was crisp and went well with the spiced maple syrup! However by looking at the waffle and based on what what I ate and my mum ate there wasn’t much sriracha aioli, however I know that some people don’t like much sauce but maybe an option could be to include a small pottle of some kind with the aioli so people have the option to put more on if needed as I found the sriracha gave the chicken and waffles that extra kick. The deep fried bao which a long-standing favourite of mine, the bao was fried well and dusted with the perfect amount of sugar and cinnamon! I found the serving size very generous for $8 and absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and very fast and efficient! Overall I would rate @d.refineryeatery 5/5 and am definitely coming back here again and again like i have done 😂

Came here on the Labour’s Day. Presentation wise, the food looks nice. I would like the beef burger to be more savoury as opposed to sweet. It’s a little bit too sweet for my taste buds. They have a sign outside ‘no surcharge on public holidays’ which is good, although later on we realised Zomato gold doesn’t work on public holidays. I’m not sure if this is across all Zomato restaurants, or just this one. But hey I’m not being stingy so all good, just a bit curious.

Found this place because of zomato gold. The food here is amazing, both taste and presentation is excellent. Coffee is also very good here. We got the chicken bao, omelette and the kids fish and chips meal. Apart from the actual bao being average with the dough sticking to the plate, everything else was really nice. The chicken in the bao was very nicely done. The sauce was just right with that extra kick of spiciness. The omelette was done for perfection with decent filling. The batter on the fish was very crunchy.<br/>We came here on a long weekend Saturday, it was busy with most tables occupied. The place is small inside but there’s outside seating as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. <br/>Would definitely come back again to try other menu items.<br/>

All were delicious, and the roti with fries particularly good value at $12. The spiced mayo/aioli on the chicken dishes was awesome. To boot, we were able to use zomato gold. I would highly recommend this great little cafe to everyone. We will be back.

The food came out promptly and we definently felt well looked after.<br/><br/>The aesthetic of the place is really nice, it's open, light, and bright. Overall it has a very nice feel due to the very light setting making for a refreshing environment. There was nothing spectacular but overall it's very contemporary and nice.<br/><br/>The food was okay and the menu had lots of good options. However, I will say that there isn't a lot for gluten free individuals to have if you don't like eggs. I got the crossiant with eggs, and unfortunately the crossaint wasn't the best, it seemed a little stale or that it was frozen beforehand, and it definitely didn't seem fresh. The eggs were nice and the presentation was beautifully done. However, in this instance I think I ordered the wrong thing as I watched other people's meals come out. The coffee was also not the best. I would have to say that if you are looking for a good coffee I wouldn't race to get it from here.<br/><br/>Overall I enjoyed the majority of my experience here. Unfortunately I didn't think the food was as good as I had heard, but then again I think I need to try some other dishes. Due to the food I couldn't give this place a 4, but I do aim to go back and try something different with the hope I can amend this review for the better.

I really like that it the big breakfast was served with a side of fruit and yoghurt which I thought really helped to finish off the meal and balance out the heavier and richer taste of the bacon and sausages. <br/>With it being on Zomato Gold, definitely worth visit 💜<br/>

Nice little cafe and super friendly staff. Great selection of menu. My friend ordered chicken waffles and she loved it. I had the chicken burger and it was pretty average (very generous serving of fries though!). The burger was dry and not enough sauce and the buns were dry too. Chicken however was moist. Pricing wise it’s good for money! $16 for a burger and fries compared to other cafes. Also They make nice coffee and lattes! Will probably be back to try other dishes.

The coffee is amazing!!!! I’m very picky about that but this was really great! The service from the moment we arrived was incredible and attentive. We had the big B and the Sweet As pancakes. The breakfast was a 10/10. I cleaned my plate and the pancakes were perfect and not too sweet as we would have expected based on photos we had seen when looking at other reviews. We had constant refills of water and just in general great service. I honestly can’t say enough good things. Hats of to them for running a great place! We will be back!!!

We paid regular price for our coffees as we do in other cafes but it came out in quite small cups. The chocolate syrup around the pancakes was a bit bitter or odd tasting, overall taste was nothing extra ordinary. We had the Big B and Pancakes. Was surprised cos we went based on reviews.

I choose this cafe to catch up with a friend due to high rating in Zomato. The cafe is located on busy Parnell road, easy to access. Decoration of the cafe is simple and I like the atmosphere. I tried soba noodles and my friend tried refined bowl. Both of us thought the dishes is bit lack of flavor-not salty enough. Soba noodles came with purple cabbage slaw, which is chewy and not perfectly matching sesame dressing. Coffee is good. And the staffs are really friendly and helpful.

A new found great eatery in Parnell. We had our Sunday brunch here. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last.<br/><br/>There's lots to love here. The presentation of the food was amazing and it tasted just as good too! You could tell that the ingredients were really fresh. The staff were also really friendly- will definitely be back again :)

Had the big veggie lover with added poached egg, nice to see some different items in the vegetarian big breakfast such as the eggplant and broccolini. Best part of the dish was the herbed rosti, and least enjoyable was the tofu would have been nicer marinated. Coffee was decent but could have been hotter.

It’s a really awesome place. The atmosphere is friendly. The refined bowls are amazing combination of ingredients! Very impressed.

I went there because the rating is high among the restaurants in Parnell. Maybe my expectation was too high.. l liked the interior and service ;) but for food.. it was quite shocking to me... especially the bowl. I liked the creativeness but the combination of each ingredients was not good- so it was not delicious at all. The food made me wonder how they got 4.6 - So I will try one more time later and see..

This is a difficult review. The shop and service ... they really really try...but a bit ‘too hard’ to the extent that it is all a bit too intense and difficult to relax in the atmosphere. The coffee is strong and great, and the food is very instagrammable, but a bit of a let down in terms of portion size and taste...a bit too hyped I think. Overall view is that the shop tries hard and it is a pleasant experience but not worth the cost. Prefer my ‘go to’ cafe across the road for bigger portions, with as nice presentation, great coffee, service, and relaxed atmosphere.

Great service, regular coffe and good food but nothing to remember. We order pancakes and they were alright but a lil dry so the jam is not enough maybe some maple syrup will go good with it.

Were quick to confirm Zomato booking. Great and friendly service. We went on Fathers Day and they told us about their special promotion (Dad’s eat for free) which I thought was a really lovely surprise. Chicken waffles were delicious! Would come back here again.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Auckland. It is in a good location and has a great ambience, and I appreciate the spaciousness both indoors and outdoors. The staff are fantastic and their service is excellent. The food is fresh and delicious here with the beverages like coffee, smoothies etc. real good and they serve alcoholic beverages too adding to their charm. Some of my favourites here are the savoury waffles, refined bowl, big b and more. I just love the food menu of this restaurant, its so special and the presentation on every dish is very pleasing. The food tastes as good as they look:). Highly recommended! The standards of a superb restaurant are certainly met by D'Refinery Eatery.

The staff gave us warm hospitality. The food was appetising and in big serve. My friend ordered waffle with fried chicken. My risotto was a bit salty but delicious.

Amazingly friendly staffs. They were bright and fresh even on the gloomy day when we visited. I had my big breakfast and my friend got chicken waffle with a reasonable price compared to other coffee shops in Parnell. The Big breakfast is just as the normal one that you can have anywhere, the chicken waffle a bit way much sauce that it made the dish too sweet at the end. But they were okay in general. The latte looked more like flatwhite. However, I still wanna come back and give another try for it. Love the fresh ambience and view.

We ordered the savoury waffles, the chook and shoestring fries on the side and two drinks - transcending summer smoothie and a iced mocha. The waffle was really good although I wished we could have poured the spiced maple syrup ourselves. The chicken was tender and it the flavours combined perfectly. The chook was soft and tender, a bit messy to eat but that's okay. The customer service was great and we're really friendly 9/10

Their coffee is amazing, we came here for the second time and we both had the big veggie breakfast, amazing! The chutney with the tofu is so good and their eggplant bacon was even better then the first time, they made it spicy now! The staff is super friendly, great vibe! We loved it! Every one should try!

We ordered the Savoury waffles, Grilled haloumi salad 🥗 The Big-B 🥓 and Salmon scramble 🍳 There was nothing left on our plates by the end which is when you know it’s a 10/10 🤤 I love the fact that it’s also 1+1 on dishes for zomato gold 🍅

Came here with Zomato Gold, I got a Refined Bowl w/ Pork Belly while my friend got Savoury Waffles and a Matcha Latte.<br/><br/>I enjoyed my dish overall, the corn risotto was flavourful and soft but not mushy and I thought the fried soft boiled egg was a delicious addition. Unfortunately, I found the pork belly to be extremely dry.<br/><br/>My friend didn’t have the best experience with the chicken waffles as he said the chicken was rather dry and that the dish could do with another element on the plate. He also said the matcha latte was delicious but a bit gritty from the powder at the top. Beautiful presentation for both dishes.<br/><br/>Lovely area to relax, very friendly and warm service.

I had the privilege of being the first customer to have the smashed avo special and it was awesome. I am told the croissants are from France and baked locally - they were divine and what a combination to have one with smashed avo and perfectly poached eggs. The double shot flat white was also spot on too and very friendly staff. I highly recommend checking this place out and get in quick to have one of the smashed avo specials!

My absolute favourite brunch destination. My university is close by so it’s never a far journey, I am always welcomed in with a smile and great service from the staff. Ordered the big breakfast twice now and loved it equally every time.

Food here is good but very frustrating when you’re told it’s a 20 min wait for food and it was almost an hour. No issue with a wait, just wish places were honest about it, as it made me late for another appointment.

The mushroom pasta was delicious, it was creamy and not too heavy, added a silky texture to the pasta. presentations of both dishes were beautiful. D'Refineey definitely deserves a five stars.

I’ve been here twice now and the food is really good, staff are friendly and attentive - nothing negative to say. The pulled beef burger, the chicken bao and the sweet bao (dessert) were all incredible and the iced coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time!

I decided to exercise my Zomato Gold power today and D’Refinery Eatery caught my eye so I decided to test them out. I am honestly so shook by how dang amazing D’Refinery is, I was beginning to lose my faith in brunch and they restored my faith to its fullest. <br/><br/>I ordered a chai latte and savoury waffles and my niece ordered the sweet as pancakes and a hot chocolate. HOLY WOW. For the past year and a half I have been scouring Auckland for a decent Chai Latte that could compare to my beloved Chai Lattes I would drink in Sweden and low and behold D’Refinery have delivered. BEST DANG CHAI LATTE THIS SIDE OF THE HEMISPHERE. The waffles were AMAZING like WOW how have I never had them before? The waffles were the perfect texture, a little bit fluffy, a little bit crunchy and perfectly golden. The chicken was moist, crunchy and spiced to the nine. THE BACON JAM WAS THE BOMB DOT COM, like seriously I would eat that stuff straight it was so dang good. The sriracha aioli was the perfect touch to complete the dish adding that extra pizzazz.<br/><br/>I can’t review this for my niece, but she had an empty cup and there were no pancakes in sight once she was done so that’s gotta mean something right? <br/><br/>The waiter was very attentive and incredibly polite 10/10 right there. <br/><br/>If you have not been here yet, what are you doing with yourself? The texture is reminiscent of tteokbeokki in the sense that it’s glutinous and has a chewy (but not overly chewy) texture. We got their Refine Bowl, I got it with Salmon and my friend got it with Karaage Chicken.<br/><br/>The portion size is unexpectedly small for $27, and the salmon/Karaage was also really small and quite greasy; I felt a bit sick from it. <br/><br/>Super friendly staff though, but perhaps a bit overrated for me.

I came here with a few friends for brunch on Friday morning. The service was amazing! The gentleman serving us was extremely polite and attentive, asking us how the meal was and taking care of us. I was quite indecisive between getting a savoury or sweet dish so I got the savoury waffles with bacon added on it and the dish was so delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet from the waffles and maple syrup and savoury from the fried chicken and bacon. All of the dishes were beautifully presented and we left extremely satisfied! Totally recommend this cafe :)

We love D'Refinery! It's not the first time we have been, and certainly not our last! The service is impeccable! They always ensure your water glass is full, ever attentive and ask if your enjoying your meal. I ordered the eggs florentine and it was beautiful. It was a Sunday morning. When I walked in it was empty. Ordered the refine bowl - when it arrived on the table presentation was a big let down. Taste - the corn risotto was the worst. It taste like over cooked rice and mixed with cream corn from a can. The rest of the ingredient didn’t treat with love. The marinated salmon has good taste but skin not crispy. Portion is small consider the price. Service was great. Coffee was okay. Overall was a bad experienced.

D’Refinery Eatery was really busy when we paid a visit on a Sunday afternoon. We were told the wait times would be 20+ minutes before we got our meals. The menu was pretty standard for brunch, however the benedict dishes all had slight twists to them with unfamiliar hollandaise sauce so I chose to have it on the side. <br/><br/>With Zomato gold, the price was worth it but the meals were quite simple. Friendly service.<br/><br/>I quite enjoyed my Florentine, good combination of mushroom and spinach, which I also chose to add bacon on the side. <br/><br/>Nice presentation too!

The refined bowl - like an Asian/Japanese twist on the quintessential big breakfast and of course with risotto. A little bit of everything tasty, lots of crunch from the potato/kumara crisps, salmon, prawn and egg, creaminess from the risotto. <br/>The Royale - interesting take on the typical eggs Benedict with beetroot hollandaise (not too acidic which really puts me off), beautifully presented. Not to mention the eggs were cooked perfectly! <br/>Definitely would come back again for brunch :)

Fairly new cafe in Parnell with a nice atmosphere and food! Started off with a flat white, extra hot. Nice latte art too! They use bespecialty beans which is one of my top favourites. Ordered the Pulled Beef Burger with Fries and the Savoury Waffles! The pulled beef tasted sweet, which reminded me of Malaysian style beef rendang! Fries were beautifully deep fried, giving that crunch into the first bite. The savoury chicken waffles are their most popular dish; chicken was cooked perfectly and the waffles weren't soggy nor dry. Cappuccino a bit disappointing, not enough foam. Definitely giving these guys another go! Wonderful customer service as well.

A spectacular modern cafe on the main street of Parnell. It’s got an immaculate interior which makes the whole dining experience even better! <br/><br/>When my friend and I arrived, we were immediately greeted with friendly staff, who continued their great service throughout our time here. They were patient and tended to our needs promptly. <br/><br/>The food was prepared in a reasonable time frame and it tasted delicious! I got the smoothie bowl which came with crunchy and tasty granola, and a good mix of fruits. My friend got the veggie breakfast which I got to try - the eggplant ‘bacon’ was impressive! D'Refinery Eatery was a damn let down. I guess i went here the first day it opened so the kitchen wasn't even opened yet they were only doing drinks. The takeaway iced mocha I got was served in a takeaway hot drink cup what you'd get a HOT mocha in so that was super weird I don't know what games they were playing with me. The iced mocha tasted like an Iced coffee it was just so strong and bitter. Don't get me wrong the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the cafe was very modern and I'm sure i only had a bad experience because it was there first day open so they were probably still tryna get all there shit together, but I would like to go back for a meal and give them another chance. x

Inside decor is very cosy and welcoming. Came on a very rainy day and you completely forgot how bad it was while in here. Oh my, it was absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the pulled bbq pork burger and the "sweet as" waffles off the weekend menu plus an almond milk latte. <br/><br/>I thought that the burger would've been a boring choice, but the pork was really tasty and so flavorsome. But out of the two dishes, my favourite was the "sweet as" waffles. The presentation was so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing - perfect for your IG shots. Eating this dish, I felt that all the elements worked wonderfully together. The dish was full of features of sweetness, tanginess, creaminess, and crunch and it did not taste too overly sweet to make me feel sickly. It was definitely the highlight of our visit. I would highly recommend the "sweet as" waffles dish. <br/><br/>My almond latte was also great. Up to your usual cafe standard so I can't complain. <br/><br/>I definitely would recommend this cafe. Located on Parnell road, so it's a reasonably easy cafe to reach if you take public transport. I would say give it a go, it's for sure going on my list of local go-to lunch places.

Had an absolute fantastic experience here. The whole environment and decor is stunning the food is top notch and the staff are very friendly. Their prices are very decent and to top it off on Thursdays and Fridays they have $9 baos, I’m definitely heading back soon!

Seriously LOVE this place! Great food, incredible and quick service and the place looks amazing! Came here after finding on zomato, wasn't sure what to expect because it is brand new without any ratings but we were so pleasantly surprised! A friend, myself and my 4 year old sat in the outside area which was nice and shaded and lovely! I ordered the iced latte and smashed avo for myself, both of which were delicious! My son had the eggs on toast and fluffy which were great (ps. Kids options would be great in future!) My friend had the refined bowl and said it was amazing 😍 Definitely going to make this our regular catch up spot!
