Service was a little slow since there was only one table there before us and no one else after. The food took 30 minutes to arrive. That being said... the food was really impressive! Yummy duck salad with descent duck pieces. The ribs were a little dry but tasty, maybe precooked since the night before. Overall ended in a delightful experience. Great time here with the fam! We came through a first table booking so it was a quieter time which suited us just fine -- it's nice to have a conversation without needing to yell over loud music and other chatty patrons... anyway, the staff were helpful and the food was delicious and filling! There was a bit much red onion in the fish burger... also sad that the side of chips with the burger doesn't come with it's own set of sauces. But the food was great, so I'm pretty happy with the experience!

Went here as it was recommended, and it lived up to it's high expectations! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty, lots of different flavours that worked so well together. I don't normally like kumara, but it tasted so delicious the way it was cooked and went well with the sweet / tangy sauce and tbe salmon! My hubby had the steak, and those veggies were cooked perfectly, specially the broccolini.. I can still taste it! Clearly the chef is very talented and experimented with some great flavours! Highly recommended!!

Interesting, relaxed environment. Nice food, friendly staff. It was our first time there. The menu wasn't what we expected, but the food was great. We were pretty surprised that the place wasn't packed with customers, but that meant it was great for conversation.

With a name like must try ribs on the menu then you should try it. With the different things we tried that was definitely one of the better ones. The ribs do come with different sauces and we went with the BBQ. The spiced lamb skewers were also quite good with the garlicy rice. The duck roti was also really tasty, nice sauce and flavour. The Szechuan chicken was nice but it wasn't spicy at all, let alone mouth numbing so unsure why it was "Szechuan". It was almost like a fried chicken salad with a tasty sesame dressing. The meal was quite good so we were going for dessert. We were deciding between two or three but was glad we only went for two. The cream in the banoffee pie was so overwhipped that it started to leak. Not sure if it was intentional but it gave it a really bad texture. The cookie bits were nice. The tiramisu was just (surprisingly) sour. I'm guessing it might've been unsweetened mascarpone but I didn't like it. I gave up after a few bites but a friend seemed ok with it. It was such a shame since desserts are generally what I prefer. Main meals were good but I would skip dessert at this place.

Good atmosphere and customer service. The food price is quite reasonable as the portion are generous. Really enjoyed both the food and the drink.

If you are looking for decent pork rib, look no more. This guys have some seriously tasty pork ribs on their menu, the sauce bbq they use on top of it something else. Definitely worth trying!

Good restaurant, quite fairly priced for the area. Girl who took our order was quite friendly and welcomed with a wonderful smile, Duty manager was quite genuine, appreciate it mate! I was Unaware of the 25% promotion, however during billing he explicitly mentioned about it, there by I got the discount. Needs some improvement in toilet maintenance though.

Came for dinner and it was alright. Food was pretty good, especially the ribs! Service is not bad but could use a bit of improvement as the staff seems a bit unfriendly.

Perfect weeknight out. Impeccable service and quality food. I have been meaning to write a review about this place, we went a couple of nights ago and I am still going on about how amazing it was! My friend and I ordered two cocktails and the lady asked my friend how exactly she wanted her gin and soda. She asked if we wanted ice, all down to the little details. We were super impressed! Our food came at a good time and it was very delicious and good portions. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed and not noisy. Definitely would recommend!

Came here for breakfast and really enjoyed my experience. The service was really great, we were served by a friendly lady and didn't have to wait too long for our food. I ordered the mushroom medley which is basically an eggs benedict but the poached egg was crumbed! Personally, I would just prefer the egg without the crumb but it was still an enjoyable and tasty meal. Overall, a great experience and good coffee too!

Amazing food and an even amazing staff with great ambience. Good for lunch as well, as you can sit and soak some sun with beer 😉

My girlfriend and I had the twilight fishbowl, pulled pork bao buns and the chilli paneer burger with fries. Everything was fresh and delicious! The staff were friendly and lovely. The atmosphere was fantastic and the music was great! Will definetely go back here again.

The eggplant salad and bao were delicious. The coffee is nice as well. We went for brunch and enjoyed our food. They have good options fr vegans and vegetarians.

I liked the variety of flavours they have on the menu. Plating/presentation has a fast-food feel but the flavour is on a totally different level. Interior deco is very original and works well with the vibe and atmosphere. Overall, makes this a very good place for soul-food. Would recommend this place and stop-by for a meal if I'm around Kingsland.

My husband and I went there a couple of times before today and totally enjoyed the food. Today's experience is no different either. However I'm very upset now with the service and attitude that I was shown during payment time.<br/><br/>We had a bao bun one-for-one coupon and so we ordered 2 bao buns and an additional salad because I really like their salad. Due to the fact that I'm pregnant, I requested for them to wash the salad a few more times and they kindly did so. When I tasted the salad, it tasted differently (still nice) than the past few times that I had the same salad. Out of curiosity I asked the male cashier whether the recipe has changed and during the course of explanation he started to get worked up and defensive. But we let it slide and asked to pay. Since we have zomato, I casually asked if we can split the bill so that we use the 1-for-1 bao bun coupon and pay the full price for those buns but for the additional salad that I ordered, we use the zomato app to apply for a discount. This is when he really lost it and started to raise his voice and said things like 'do you think it's fair for me to give discount for the whole table?' at that point, I thought maybe he misunderstood me so I explained that I'll pay full price for the baos but just apply the discount for the salad. But he got very agitated and his expression got very pissed off and his voice got louder and said something like' we can't apply the discount for the whole table' etc etc and then 'I can't possibly give you the food for free' etc. I really felt that his hostile attitude is absolutely uncalled for when we were not confrontational at all and was just casually enquiring about the policy. Whats more is that we are not even asking for everything to be free so I felt that his comments are totally uncalled for and to be honest, demeaning. <br/><br/>All he needed to do was to make the policy clearer to us instead of losing his temper and being all sarcastic. When I said that we are just enquiring about the policy and that he doesn't have to be so worked up, he rudely cut me off mid-sentence and said 'that'd be xx dollars for today'.<br/><br/>I am very appalled and shaken by the way we were treated. We were not aggressive nor confrontational - all we needed was some clarity on how their policy works when there are multiple promos going on. I seriously see no need for any paying customer to be subjected to this type of hostile and rude attitude. After we paid, we said our thanks and left. <br/><br/>I hope that the senior management can counsel this staff because this experience definitely turned me off and I know for sure that I'm never going back again.

Arrogant and rude staff, lack of courtesy upon arrival . Food took almost 45 minutes to come out despite being the only two customers at lunch time. Refused to swap potato gratin to fries (other restaurants we went o usually had no problem with this request, the answer: they use oven only!). Eye fillet was overcooked, rather than medium rare as per order. Duck was overcooked and rubbery. Potato slices in the gratin was uncooked- Informed the staff who became so defensive and argumentative, and refused to accept our comments. She even used the fork to poke the potato on the plate. No professionalism at all to deal with unhappy customer but using a condescending manner. Overall a very unpleasant experience, lunch date spoilt by poor quality food. The owner/staff and chef need more customer service, communication and cookery skill training, or your business will not expand. Will never come back, nor will we recommend to friends or family.

Masala and Lemon Chicken Wings, Spicy Crumbled Chicken Bao, Shezwan Chicken and Curried Jackfruit with Roti Canai were all exceptional. All dishes have their own taste and flavour. Would highly recommend this place, the only downside was that we were not informed that the kitchen is closed when we wanted to order some more food, with our group being the only customers at that time.

I've been here twice while it was quiet, once for brunch and once for dinner.<br/><br/>Staff was friendly, and the food was good too. We ordered the pancakes on 1 occasion which were beautifully presented and the shake was good. Not great, but good. I didn't think the soft shell crab was the best, but still ok.

Had the JD Tennesse Ribs, Crumbled Chicken Bao buns and Spicy Thai chicken wings. Ribs were super tender, chicken bao buns had a nice crunch but the wings weren't spicy at all, still good though. Nice service and atmosphere

Quite polite staff who came to check on our meals. Very worth with zomato gold and quite delicious. One dish slightly underseasoned with salt, but they have salt grinders on the table so you can adjust as needed. They offered nice water options free of charge which was a very nice touch. Seating area is quite comfortable.

The food here is always excellent. The flavours are and Indian-Asian-western fusion and the prices are very reasonable with decent quantities. We come here often and the manager's attention to detail and friendly attitude is always a pleasant experience. Favourites so far are their beef burgers and soft shell crab bao. But it's hard to pick since most of their dishes are delicious!

The ribs were great, so were the lamb koftas and service and ambience were lovely too.

The flavoring was bland , meat was overcooked.

Lamb burger, delicious lamb patty well done with fresh salad ingredients. The brioche bun was also a delight but when compared to happy boy brioche buns but those still hit the spot for me. These brioche buns are a little denser and thicker but still soft and fluffy enough. <br/>Pork taco, smaller than I thought in portion but a really tasty mix of ingredients and fills you up relatively well. Overall decent prices for their food, a good selection to choose from a good quality.

Went on a weekday lunch time, lovely service and very delicious food, although portion a little bit small for the price. Had the grilled skewers, lamb was definitely the best, cooked to perfection. Clean toilets, and restaurant had a nice ambience.

The food was so yummy!!!! And customer service was excellent!!! The overall experience was perfect for a hung over brunch. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the bread was a little soggy from the poached egg, mushrooms were too oily and the food took a little too long to arrive.

Honestly, things started going downhill the moment we stepped in. There was only one waiter around that night, and though he was nice and trying his best it took so so long to get his attention to take our orders, get water etc. Then...the food wait time was almost 45 mins. When the food finally came - extremely underwhelming. The roast duck salad consisted basically of a messy dish of very dry, shredded duck scraps and slaw. The pork ribs were also very average, its only flavour coming from the almost completely burnt surface. The highlight of the night would probably be the soft shell crab bao buns; the buns itself were quite delicious and there was nice flavour in the soft shell crab. However, there was so little meat in there it was technically just a soft crab shell bao bun. The waiter did explain to us later that they were a chef and a waiter down that night and they usually provided a better experience, but nonetheless I definitely will not be heading back.

Enjoyed the lamb skewers which came with a decent portion of yoghurt, salad and rice. Lamb was cooked perfectly and the staff were incredibly helpful.

Liked everything here. Went out to this place on a Sunday evening, liked very much that it was not crowded. Ordered Tuatara APA n Orange Vibe smoothie, Szechuan chicken and Grilled Salmon. All item were made to perfection. Quick n prompt service, attentive staff, nice decor and at the end well priced. We had a very good experience here. Must try places. Will definitely go again to try other items like Soft shell crab.<br/>Overall great place.

We choose this place as it had great reviews but we were very disappointed. We ordered chicken bao, bbq ribs and duck roti.<br/>Everything tasted the same. Little flavour, the bao were so dry. Ribs were super fatty and not very pleasant to eat. The duck itself was nice but was lost in the flavourless coleslaw. We also found the food expensive for portion size.<br/>The place looked cool and the service was quick and friendly but food was no where near up to scratch.

Prok ribs with JD bbq sauce and spicy harissa.. bbq sauce was awesome with correct cooked meat. The spicy harrissa was kinda Mediterranean sause and not that much tasty as bbq. Tasteeyy wings also..🥰

We really loved their BBQ Pork Ribs because it is tasty and soft. We are thankful that they have accommodated our request for the Chicken Wings. One of their options for the Chicken Wings is Garlic & Coriander but my friend does not like coriander. They made us Garlic Chicken Wings only and we liked it. We will try other flavours soon.

I came to Kage for dinner with my boyfriend and we were taken care of extremely well! I got the pulled pork bao and he got the JD Tennesse BBQ ribs. The waiter was extremely kind and accommodating to us, providing great service throughout our meal! The pulled pork baos were so good, the fluffy bao had sweet and juicy pulled pork with fried onion on top and the flavours just worked extremely well! The slaw was alright but I've never really been a fan of coleslaw so it's just a personal taste. I tried some ribs as well and again, it was extremely juicy with delicious BBQ sauce! I would definitely order the ribs again because $24 is a good deal! I definitely recommend Kage as they do offer 1+1 food with no restrictions.

Not a good place to come to if you're starving. Kage was pretty empty when we arrived at a non-peak timing, however the kitchen took a really long time to serve our food. Anyway, the Honey and mustard ribs more or less made up for it. The chips that came with the ribs were pretty good too but the coleslaw tasted really odd (salty! and not fresh). The duck salad ($22) was the ultimate disappointment; sparse pieces of over fried duck which were really tough in texture and the dressing of the salad was just non-palatable. Never knew salad could actually taste this bad. Thankful with zomatogold I didn't have to pay a single cent for the salad because it was really disappointing.

Overall taste good, parking at rear must have chit from cafe, lamb could have marinated with more spices to get rid of lamb smell. Will go back to try other dishes again.

The food here was definitely amazing! We had the flatbread with cream cheese, the spicy harissa ribs which fell of the bone and had a good amount of sauce and spice to it as well as the baos the spicy chicken would have been my favourite followed by the pork and then the soft shell 🦀 also had one of the bar jar concoctions by the bar tender the mango one was great! Good portion size aswell. Next time I’ll have to try the grilled skewers cause they looked great to

Kage is amazing!! 😍 Have been twice so far, the food is excellent and each meal is quite a large portion - great value for money! What truly places this restaurant well above others is the great customer service, quite possibly the best I’ve ever received. All staff including the manager/s are beyond friendly and go the extra mile! Their friendly service combined with their great food make for an amazing evening 🤩☺️

Nice place - and so affordable with zomato gold! The main guy who works there is fantastic at remembering you and provides good service 😊 the chicken bao and chicken burger are fantastic! Garlic chicken wings are okay but not as good as the burger and bao - still tasty enough though! Their fries are also so yum - perfectly crispy!

The Sezchuan chicken was absolutely delicious, perfectly complimented with the sauces provided.<br/><br/>The 5 spice pork hawker roll was good, quite flavoursome, could be less Sweet.<br/><br/>The eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly, I ordered on sourdough and I have no complaints! Very good for the price. I would recommend getting the hollandaise on the side as it is very rich!<br/>

I came in on a whim with a friend, not expecting much. The manager, who also served us, Shoshi, was the highlight of my time there and my day in general! His polite, jovial nature made him an absolute joy to be around and we couldn't wait for his next round of checking on us to see what spark of joy he would bring to our lives this time. Excellent service by staff, very friendly and hospitable. Food was ok, ambience was great but the real hero of this place are the staff. Checked on each table regularly, topped water drinks before glass was empty. And asked for food or drinks without being intrusive and gave honest recommendations.

Tried two things today from their menu: the pulled pork bao buns and market fish burger. Pulled pork was very flavourful, and generous portions too. The slaw was refreshing but could do iyh a little bit more seasoning.<br/>The market fish came with a nice tartare sauce (Capers were visible, potentially house made sauce which gets a bonus point from me). Nice crunch to the batter and chips were crunchy too. Overall atmosphere was nice too, not too busy and food came out fast. No problems using Zomato gold either. Will return!

Good ambience. Food was good too. But, not adhering to Zomato gold rules. We had 6 Zomato gold holders but only 4 dishes were changed to complimentary. And it was the cheapest 4 dishes were taken out not as per the Zomato Gold terms and conditions where the second, fourth etc. recommend to visit but check if you’re using Zomato gold here. Thanks :)

One of the places ive had my eye on in kingsland for a while. Popped in on a very very wet tuesday and the place was dead. Not a bad thing. Great service and very tasty food. Mojito was very nice on the sweet side. Sichuan duck roti was fantastic but not true to the form. Steak was ace very nice and a very tasty potato side

Love this place! Great food with amazing service! We can’t wait to be back and couldn’t stop telling everyone about how good the food was. Pork ribs were so well grilled, yet tender and had a really tasty bbq sauce. Wings were so well marinated, our request was accepted for a mix of flavours since we weren’t sure which to go for. The Thai Chili wings were not just bottled chilli sauce, it was so delicious! We loved the fries too! Snickers milkshake was pretty good as well, it was thick and tasty! Oh and we were too full by then when we saw the table next to us get served a really good looking pecan pie! Next time! Next time! My friend and I went here for lunch and the place was in its early hours. Staff was really nice. Food arrived pretty quickly. My friend and I had the hoison soy ribs and grilled halloumi salad (sharing plate). The ribs were nice, however, it would have been much nicer if they were served much hotter as they cooled down way too quickly. I liked the halloumi plate. I am usually not a fan of halloumi bc of its saltiness. However, this dish's halloumi was more subtle (which I understand would not be the best for those who love the taste of halloumi. The dressing was also very nice. I'd come back for the other dishes.

Really enjoy taking friends here! It's got such a good vibe and friendly staff. The food is delicious and I wouldn't have discovered this gem in Kingsland if it wasn't thanks to Zomato Gold definitely. Definitely recommend the ribs and baos for sharing.

Amazing place! We had the bao buns each and fries to share as a late lunch. Food was amazing! Service was lovely as anything and the food came out in record time. Their fries are next level fries, beautifully seasoned and cooked just right. The bao buns were fluffy, the meat juicy and the slaw was delicious. Highly recommend

However, what made up is the excellent service provided by the waiters and the nice ambience as they remade my order no questions asked which shows excellent customer service. Would recommend.

This is now one of my favourite eating spot in Kingsland. <br/>Kage has it all - great food, excellent service and amazing atmosphere. <br/>I tend to over order when I'm here so having Zomato gold definitely helps.

The ribs is a definite must try! We tried the one with BBQ sauce. The portions were more than enough for one person. The pork bao buns were also really good. The staff were friendly, they said that everything on the menu is included in the Zomato Gold 1+1 food promo as they wanted to ensure people come and leave the restaurant happy. All in all this restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations!

I had the big breakfast and it was perfect. Good portion, warm and tasty. The vibes in this place was great.. good decorations with the warm sun shining in on the afternoon, which was great for eating at the outside area. Nice chill music but the best thing here was the service.

Food quality was good. We had the JD BBQ and Spicy Harissa Ribs that tasted well; can be better with more sauce for taste. The beer-battered Fries are the best, crisp-to-taste ratio is perfect. The Garlic and Coriander Chicken Wings could taste better. <br/><br/>The staff service was spotless. They were enthusiastic and accommodating.

This place is a great place to go to and even better with Zomato Gold. I was very close to giving them five stars. <br/>The food was delicious with big servings and the service was very friendly. Being a Monday night the restaurant was quiet which from our point of view was a bonus. <br/>Unfortunately the mains didn’t come out at the same time but they did give us complimentary fries. The other downside was that were a few things that weren’t available from the menu but we only found out about these as we were trying to order them. <br/><br/>Just a heads up, New North Road in Kingsland is paid parking up until 9pm as this was a surprise.

Ribs!! Rip into it! Tender pull pork like meat, the flavour was plentiful too!! We got an extra side of greens, and I must say the veggies were cooked just right with the juice in them still locked in them. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for a date, or a after work catch up.<br/><br/>I will have to try their fine dining menu and cocktail next time to decide whether to give it a 5 star.

Definitely one of the best steak ever had and lamb rack is amazing too. Salted caramel shake is a must order. Staff are very helpful and friendly

What a lovely dinner night at this place! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food and outstanding service from the manager and kitchen staff. <br/>The place is clean and cosy, food was well presented, good portions and very flavourful!! Washed down with a glass of cold beer 😄 <br/>The menu is so extensive, there’s a LOT to try! We went by recommendations from the lovely manager - he was very friendly and kind.<br/>No doubt we will be back to try some more! Thank you Kage for a great evening 😁

Pleasantly surprised and pleased ! Must not go past the fried chicken in masala and preserved lemon. Wow - simply put, the best fried chicken of my life. Very happy with the quality of food - amazing flavour and balance - right down to the details with the garnishing. Service was friendly, but also very professional. Found this place via Zomato gold and I would highly recommend! Tried out this place along with 3 other people and our overall favourite was the BBQ Pork Ribs & Honey and soy chicken wings. For the standard price, it is worth it for the portion they are serving particularly for the pork ribs. Even more worth it if you have zomato gold :-) <br/><br/>We also ordered roast duck salad which was worth a try. We were slightly disappointed with the lamb skewers as the portion seemed smaller. <br/><br/>Overall, the service was great and I would return again to try out the other flavors of pork ribs/chicken wings and their baos.

We had the pulled pork bao buns, szechuan duck roti, and the kumara with bacon and left absolutely full (two people). On top of the food being the best Asain food I've had in NZ, the service was lovely and so fast. Would 100% recommend! I don't know how I'm ever meant to enjoy an Asian meal from anywhere else again. I want to go back already ❤️

The food here was really good.. We ordered a good variety.. Ribs, chicken wings, roti, bacon kumara and the banoffee. The ribs are perfect!!! The wings r tasty. The bacon kumara is delicious with the sour cream. Overall. Perfect food except dessert. I didn't like the banoffee pie as there isn't any chewy caramel like a classic banoffee pie. Its a deconstructed banoffee pie and the crust was dry. Perhaps if they replace the crust with a gooey caramel slice, that will be awesome. But overall very happy with this place and will come back.

Nice Malaysia restaurant in Kingsland. It’s on New North Road a block from the Wilson parking.<br/><br/>The food was surprisingly good. It’s not your traditional Malaysian food. We’ve ordered the cumin lamb, duck roti, soft shell crab buns and bbq ribs. <br/><br/>The chargrilled ribs was very delicious, well braised with bbq sauce. The majority of the rib was very tender, especially the soft bones were cooked so soft. <br/><br/>The Szechuan duck roti was another highlight of the evening. The duck was tender, marinated in a sweet and chilly sauce. The roti was excellent, warm, crispy, flaky and had a scent of coconut.<br/><br/>The cumin lamb was well spiced, despite I’m not a big fan of meat balls. The soft shell crab was nice but nothing memorable.<br/><br/>Nice and clean eating environment. Friendly staff and attentive service. I went to Kage with a friend for dinner and shared pork belly and duck mains.<br/><br/>Atmosphere: 3/4<br/>The lighting was nice, not too dark. The atmosphere can cater for any occasion; from a nice casual dinner to a date night. The place is good for any small group gathering.<br/><br/>Food: 3/4<br/>The main dinner food is on the fancier side; nicely plated, meat was cooked really well and definitely had the Asian fusion taste.<br/><br/>Service: 4/4<br/>All the staff members were friendly.<br/><br/>Cost: Spent $66 for two main meals.<br/><br/>I recommend the place to anyone who loves Asian fusion food and don't mind spending $30+ for a meal.

My family and I went on a busy Saturday night and even though the food took 30mins to come, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious!! We got the spicy harissa ribs and the BBQ ribs (the BBQ ribs was the favourite of the two), thai chicken wings and the panko prawn, which came with a really yum sauce. Overall 5/5, would definitely recommend ☺️

With a name like must try ribs on the menu then you should try it. With the different things we tried that was definitely one of the better ones. The ribs do come with different sauces and we went with the BBQ. The spiced lamb skewers were also quite good with the garlicy rice. The duck roti was also really tasty, nice sauce and flavour. The Szechuan chicken was nice but it wasn't spicy at all, let alone mouth numbing so unsure why it was "Szechuan". It was almost like a fried chicken salad with a tasty sesame dressing. <br/><br/>The meal was quite good so we were going for dessert. We were deciding between two or three but was glad we only went for two. The cream in the banoffee pie was so overwhipped that it started to leak. Not sure if it was intentional but it gave it a really bad texture. The cookie bits were nice. The tiramisu was just (surprisingly) sour. I'm guessing it might've been unsweetened mascarpone but I didn't like it. I gave up after a few bites but a friend seemed ok with it.<br/><br/>It was such a shame since desserts are generally what I prefer. Main meals were good but I would skip dessert at this place.

Fresh & ‘bang-on’ delicious fusion experience! We dined here for lunch today. A little hesitant at first as the menu reads like fusion on steroids - covering items from pork ribs, to roti, burgers and bao buns to name a few! However once the food arrived at our table, any lingering doubts went away at first bite. I ordered the soft shell crab bao buns - the crab was nice and crispy, backed by an aromatic soy and ginger dressing (I think), with a side of Asian slaw, which was fresh and tasty. I would have loved a bit more of the soy dressing but I’m nitpicking here. My partner had the spare ribs with spicy harissa sauce. Reportedly it was very well-portioned and delicious! We also had a side of fries, which was right up there in terms of flavour - super crispy, not at all oily, with tasty coating. Service was very friendly and attentive (they weren’t busy). Ambience was nice as well. I have a feeling we’ll be back there again in no time. Love this place!

Honey soy Chicken wings were fire! The duck roti was yum but a little too sweet for me but the stand out was the chilli paneer so yum!! Must try!! Came on Zomato gold so it was reasonably priced but probably a little pricy if not and the service was a little slow. Also the menu was a little confusing w/ the burgers and Asian fusion & Mediterranean/Turkish but everything we had was done really well!

First time here. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Though the service was slow but the food was good. We had garlic shrimp skewers and chicken skewers. So yummy. Glad we followed our nose and made the last minute switch after spotting the next table having the skewers just arrived. So we gave up our initial choice - lamb burger. I guess will have to come back to try

Had the wings, flatbread and Greek lamb salad. Wings were cooked to perfection and flatbread was amazing. Greek salad was good but lamb was in meatball form and we expected a slice of lamb.

First time visit to a modern and contemporary Asian street food style restaurant. Great ambience, well attended, helpful staff. The wait for food is as usual, 15-20minutes. We went on a Sunday night and it was relatively busy.<br/>The food all were very tasty, well presented and came quickly. Ordered the soft shell crab bao, chicken Bao, BBQ Pork ribs, Roti Canai with one vegetarian and another duck filling. All were very tasty and well presented. However, the portions do not commensurate the price. What we thought as over ordering ended up as under-ordering and we had to order burgers to give the satiated filling. The Chilli Paneer burger was very good. Average spend $40 per person without drinks, which appeared to be a bit steep. Recommended, but need to be clever in ordering as might spend way too much without being satisfied.

The foods are delicious, spicy; especially the Rib spicy harissa, recommended! Atmosphere and service are good. Staffs are friendly. Absolutely will recomend to my friends!

Had the Spicy Chicken Bao and Szechuan Duck on Malaysian style Roti - absolutely delicious with great, polite service! They didn't have any dairy free desserts but kindly asked what would be good options to add to the menu! Great service and very much enjoyed the tasty food.

Had lunch at Kage with my family. Pleasant service, slightly slow serving, but wasn't too much wait. We ordered BBQ ribs, soft crab buns and loaded kumara.<br/>Beautiful ribs, definitely a must try, big size, tenderness, great sauce-to-meat ratio.<br/>Soft crab buns - three buns!! , the deep fried crab was tasty though a little dry.<br/>My boy loved the loaded kumara. He had something to eat before lunch, still managed to eat almost half of the dish. Reasonable price, even better with my Zomato gold.<br/>Will try the duck salad and chicken wings on my next visit.<br/><br/>

Kage lacks ambience has bright lights, weird decor all of which doesn't match, All of the food had great flavours,  We had the lamb kebabs you get 3 smallish one and some cumin rice, was quite nice, would of like to had bigger or more kebabs for the 2 of us to share, The Ribs were nice and good portion, The duck salad was nice but didn't have much duck and was mostly fancy coleslaw, should really call the dish coleslaw with taste of duck and at $22 makes it a bit of a con.   the manager is a nice guy and friendly and provided a good service.  If they improved their portions so it matches their prices then i would go back.

Went here for the 2 + 2 drinks as a big group after an afternoon walk. Ordered some mocktails to drink. They taste alright, although seems a bit diluted. We originally wanted to order just one chips but were told we must order 2 because we were a big group (9 adults + 1 baby and toddler) so we ordered 2. We also got the wings and kids' tenders. Chips tasted good. Just not satisfied with the service recieved.

Loved this place! The interior decor is really cool for Instagram and heaps of photo opportunities. Food and drinks were amazing! Totally recommend the fish bowls when going in groups and the roti was amazing!

But the price was almost double.<br/>The ribs were $24 and that's understandable. It was fall off the bone tender and the rub was really nice.<br/><br/>Please reduce the roti pricing. It's not worth $19.<br/><br/>Would return though.

Have been to Kage several times now, and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience on all occasions. Delicious food (must recommend the ribs and szechuan chicken), fantastic cocktails (the bar glass is a go to for me), and extremely friendly staff. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty meal with a relaxed atmosphere.

This place is pretty new and took over the old Shakey Isles. You can really see they have revamped the place and done a really good job of it too! Food is always delicious and the chefs and staff are lovely!

I thought I was going to a japanese asian fusion restaurant as the name Kage sounded japanese and it meant shadows. So we were surprise when the menu had more of a malaysian indian flare to it.<br/>I cannot fault the service and the food was tasty enough however I found the prices steep in comparison to alot of other places I have been to. The portion was also small even for me (not a big eater)

Kage has one of the most passionate and friendly chefs I’ve ever met. Chef Ronnie loves his job, and you can taste it in the food. The pulled pork bao buns are to die for, and the duck roti isn’t far behind!! With different bar jars every week, there’s something new to drink every time we go here. awesome staff, awesome food!

Went there for my birthday lunch, great customer service. Charlie the waitress was super friendly and helpful. Everything was overall excellent. Flavours are quite authentic with that asian spice and refreshing salads on the side. <br/>Highly recommend the Chicken wings, slightly salty than my liking so had some roti with it, it worked well! <br/>Highlight was the Coconut Splash Cocktail!!! We were just supposed to stop by for a (late) morning coffee and ended up having amazing fish bowl cocktail and food!
