The eggplant salad and bao were delicious. The coffee is nice as well. We went for brunch and enjoyed our food. They have good options fr vegans and vegetarians.
I liked the variety of flavours they have on the menu. Plating/presentation has a fast-food feel but the flavour is on a totally different level. Interior deco is very original and works well with the vibe and atmosphere. Overall, makes this a very good place for soul-food. Would recommend this place and stop-by for a meal if I'm around Kingsland.
What an excellent dinner - best ribs I've had in Auckland. Delicious and well-presented food with generous portions. Very friendly staff. Vegetarians also well catered for.

First visit here over the weekend. Ordered the chicken waffle and husband had the big breakfast. The chicken waffle could do with more sauce and should mentioned that the waffle would have some sugar in it. Husband’s big breakfast was good portion size. As this is not a cafe place, their coffee was on the weak side. Could improve on that. There was an accident by a new staff and our food took longer than usual but the staff politely inform us that.

It’s one of our favorite places in Auckland.
Masala and Lemon Chicken Wings, Spicy Crumbled Chicken Bao, Shezwan Chicken and Curried Jackfruit with Roti Canai were all exceptional. All dishes have their own taste and flavour. Would highly recommend this place, the only downside was that we were not informed that the kitchen is closed when we wanted to order some more food, with our group being the only customers at that time.
I've been here twice while it was quiet, once for brunch and once for dinner.
Staff was friendly, and the food was good too. We ordered the pancakes on 1 occasion which were beautifully presented and the shake was good. Not great, but good. I didn't think the soft shell crab was the best, but still ok.
Had the JD Tennesse Ribs, Crumbled Chicken Bao buns and Spicy Thai chicken wings. Ribs were super tender, chicken bao buns had a nice crunch but the wings weren't spicy at all, still good though. Nice service and atmosphere

Service was a little slow since there was only one table there before us and no one else after. The food took 30 minutes to arrive.
That being said... the food was really impressive! Yummy duck salad with descent duck pieces. The ribs were a little dry but tasty, maybe precooked since the night before.
Overall ended in a delightful experience.

Great time here with the fam! We came through a first table booking so it was a quieter time which suited us just fine -- it's nice to have a conversation without needing to yell over loud music and other chatty patrons... anyway, the staff were helpful and the food was delicious and filling! There was a bit much red onion in the fish burger... also sad that the side of chips with the burger doesn't come with it's own set of sauces. But the food was great, so I'm pretty happy with the experience!
Went here as it was recommended, and it lived up to it's high expectations! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty, lots of different flavours that worked so well together. I don't normally like kumara, but it tasted so delicious the way it was cooked and went well with the sweet / tangy sauce and tbe salmon! My hubby had the steak, and those veggies were cooked perfectly, specially the broccolini.. I can still taste it! Clearly the chef is very talented and experimented with some great flavours! Highly recommended!!

With a name like must try ribs on the menu then you should try it. With the different things we tried that was definitely one of the better ones. The ribs do come with different sauces and we went with the BBQ. The spiced lamb skewers were also quite good with the garlicy rice. The duck roti was also really tasty, nice sauce and flavour. The Szechuan chicken was nice but it wasn't spicy at all, let alone mouth numbing so unsure why it was "Szechuan". It was almost like a fried chicken salad with a tasty sesame dressing.
The meal was quite good so we were going for dessert. We were deciding between two or three but was glad we only went for two. The cream in the banoffee pie was so overwhipped that it started to leak. Not sure if it was intentional but it gave it a really bad texture. The cookie bits were nice. The tiramisu was just (surprisingly) sour. I'm guessing it might've been unsweetened mascarpone but I didn't like it. I gave up after a few bites but a friend seemed ok with it.
It was such a shame since desserts are generally what I prefer. Main meals were good but I would skip dessert at this place.
Good atmosphere and customer service. The food price is quite reasonable as the portion are generous. Really enjoyed both the food and the drink.
If you are looking for decent pork rib, look no more. This guys have some seriously tasty pork ribs on their menu, the sauce bbq they use on top of it something else. Definitely worth trying!
Good restaurant, quite fairly priced for the area. Girl who took our order was quite friendly and welcomed with a wonderful smile, Duty manager was quite genuine, appreciate it mate! I was Unaware of the 25% promotion, however during billing he explicitly mentioned about it, there by I got the discount. Needs some improvement in toilet maintenance though.
Good food great service... ordered schwan chicken and lavender lemonade. Pics attached. Food was served on time, and great suggestions by the host.
Came for dinner and it was alright. Food was pretty good, especially the ribs! Service is not bad but could use a bit of improvement as the staff seems a bit unfriendly.
