Yummy pasta. We tried the Cabonara and Lasagna and both were very good. Ordered through Uber eats - didn’t know it existed before. I ordered garlic bread but that seems to be the same as the garlic pizza bread. Highly recommend. Takeaway orders usually ready in about 20 mins from ordering.

Our family used to dine here quite often when we first moved to the area, but over time we noticed the quality of the food steadily decrease - soggy pizza bases and bland pasta. But we like to support local businesses so we kept attending anyway, albeit less frequently. Although, around six months ago we stopped coming here after an extremely rude, anti-semitic remark was made by the owner. While complaining about the landlord of the house he was renting in Kohimarama, he told us “the guy is a Jew, and we all know what they’re like”. We haven’t eaten there ever since, and never will.

Got a pizza for takeaway and then went to the beach to eat it there. The Italian owner was very friendly and warm towards us and the pizza was very good as well. Will definitely be back to try the pasta as well.

Il Picolo is a great place to have a pizza or some pasta:) we always visit this hidden gem when we're after some good Italian food. The place is run by an Italian gentleman and his wife so your Italian dish will be indeed Italian ;)

I'm surprised at the low ratings here, it's definitely one of the best Italian places in the area. It's quite a casual place and dining in it's usually surprisingly quiet, but don't let that deceive you... the food quality is excellent. The fish with shrimps & creamy sauce is delicious!

We dined there again with some elderly friends on 17th June. This is a small restaurant and pizza takeaways run by a friendly and capable couple who couldn't be faulted for their care and attention. The food is not gourmet, but simple and tasty with excellent presentation. We've been there several times before which I think tells you something as I only return to restaurants where I enjoy the meal and the surroundings. It's more of a pizza take away than a restaurant but nevertheless I recommend it for a quiet, enjoyable evening with fresh satisfying servings. Also they are BYO wine which we consider a distinct advantage.

I have been to Il Piccolo many times with my family and have been more or less happy with the meal and experience. <br/><br/>This time I ordered the cranberry, chicken, Brie and mushroom pizza. I was kind of let down, as the pizza lacked flavour and the base was a bit soggy. This is the first time I've ever been disappointed with a meal here. <br/><br/>Other than that, the service was great. When I return I will probably order a pasta dish or another pizza.

Ok, we had takeaway vege pizza and meatball penne. Pizza was quite small and the pizza base a little soggy by the time we got home. Toppings were nice, using olives with pips in them was annoying. Penne needed extra salt for flavour. Overall I wouldn't go back, it wasn't really good but it wasn't really bad either. <br/>

Went today for the first time. We are locals and love the Italian scene around this area. Ordered the Piccolo Pasta never had it before it was different nothing to great. Onions were raw and too much garlic. It was a takeaway order so asked the lady for some Parmesan, she said its on there already but want when I opened the box. Who refuses for Parmesan at an Italian restaurant lol. Anyways will give it a try next time, still quite a bit of menu to try.

Very pleasant dinner for 4. Shared a pizza for entree and 4 mains of Pork, steak and risotto and penne. All were enjoyed and met expectations. Dessert, the men had some cassata ice-cream which they thought was nice and my little spoonful was too! (even if a tad expensive at $12.) Impressed we didn't have to ask for more water or wine glasses - they just appeared. Nice touch the owner and chef coming to our table after the meal. Place seemed fresh and clean and the service was friendly and timely. A place to return to soon.

Il piccolo is my local. I've yet to eat something from these guys that doesn't taste divide. So yummy, so flavourful. Good sized portions. Friendly service. Easy parking. Not too hard to get a table. Easy for takeaways too!

Great little Italian restaurant, fabulous food, exceptionally clean and loads of parking. Il Piccolo really delivers, it has an extensive yummy menu and also does takeaways. Easy, casual dining, perfect for a weekly visit.

Piccolo in Italian translates to small or tiny. While it is true that this restaurant is small in size, it is big, very big, in every other way. This restaurant is exceptionally clean, neat and tidy. The staff are both welcoming, friendly and efficient. The prices are fair,and the served portions satisfying. The food is cooked fresh upon giving your order, and as a couple who have spent a reasonable amount of time in Italy, we can honestly say we have not yet tasted better. Some of their dishes are simply divine. After only one visit, this Italian restaurant has shot to the top of our favourites list.
