Review Mithaiwala - Auckland

Saturday evening, I was looking for something sweet to eat and drink, which isn't easy in Auckland I passed by this place, decided to give it a go, and I'm happy I did There were lots of sweets, and several drinks too. They also serve regular food but this I didn't try yet Having traveled in India for 5 months, I was taken back there, definitely an authentic one Recommended!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Mithaiwala, K Road during my first and recent visit. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming. But, it was the food that truly stole the show. Every dish was an authentic Indian taste. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Generous portions, making it great value for money. I highly recommend it to all food enthusiasts.

We ordered royal banquet combo meal for our family. It was great experience for us. I will suggest everyone must try various combo meal options. Wonderful place for get together.

First time I tried here. Good service. Everything looks clean, the dishes are attractively displayed. desserts with novel flavors. If you are a lover of experiencing new and sweet flavors. should come and try them. Paking: No Eat in: Yes Take away: Yes Price: 9/10.

We had thalis and sweets after. The curries were delicious and the servings were generous. The server was knowledgeable about vegan food and helped us make our selections. The restaurant is in an older building and has a no-frills atmosphere that focuses on the food. Would recommend for anyone looking for great Indian food in Auckland.

Very Delicious Food , Customer Service was amazing , definitely will recommend people to check this restaurant out , Top Indian Food I have ever eaten in Auckland ,they Had alot of different sweets and cuisines , had a wonderful time.

Beautiful curries so delicious and so cheap priced, good value for money. I love the vegetarian samosas, so tasty. Highly recommend you to visit. A+++ service. Will definitely be coming back.

I got the mithai thali takeaway which includes two curries, naan, and rice. They threw in a free dessert for me which is nice. Unfortunately the place is all vegetarian and options are mostly paneer based. Both curries were average. The naan was massive. Lots of rice provided but not enough curries to eat it with. The dessert was amazing.

Best Indian cuisine restuarant, lots of options in Vegetarian dishes. Tasty food and value for money. Great service given bye staff.

Our first visit to restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food at Mithaiwala K road restaurant was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

A true culinary voyage to India. Warm welcome and employees/owners willing to give good advice. The portions are generous. Very good value for money. Service, however, could be a little faster.

Came here for a quick dinner and was seriously impressed by how much you get for the price. Love how much naan they give you. The potato cauliflower curry is amazing although their Curries differ from day to day so it might be a bit hit or miss. Some tables weren't wiped down properly and the decor isn't the flashiest but it's great for a cheap but filling meal.

Cheap food and stop for a quick Indian Meal. Service is super slow and food items were all cold. Meal combo is a good option to go for but wouldn’t go again.

Mithaiwala in city makes best paneer samosa. I have tried few times, it’s very delicious and very affordable price. I will definitely visit this place again.

Good variety on buffet and service is not bad either. Highly recommend Samosa’s and lunch Thali Deals. Recently the prices for thali have gone up but still value for money.

One restaurant that I like in Auckland is Mithaiwala, such tasty thalis and paranthas that you’ll not miss ghar ka khana. Pure vegetarian and the breads are absolutely delicious.

Lunch was 💯 so filling and only cost $8.50, every day Mithaiwala has a selection of vegetarian curries you can choose from and this is served with fresh naan and rice, lots of carbs including some slow digesting like chickpeas will keep you feeling full all the way until dinner.<br/>Definitely go here- such a bargain and so full of flavour!<br/>

Went there with my mates... i was not hoping any restaurant like this in auckland ...<br/>I was a very nice evening there for us ... 1st we try their samosa which was super delicious and then we ordered their traditional dish dal bhati and some kulcha it was lovely. Service was also very good I highly recommended this place to everyone . <br/>Thankyou Mithaiwala for your hospitality

Worst ever food I have here today especially dhal bhati,I came from same place where that food originated and feel very bad, Manager doesn't know how to behave with customers.I would never ever go that place again. I would give zero star but can't give because no option Left.

Review based on only one product - Indian samosas. It was cold at first but taste was good enough. Staffs are just okay not too much friendly or something. Nice seating arrangements and nice ambience. Can try.

Very delicious vegetarian food with wide variety in Auckland City. staff at Mithaiwala very friendly and helpful. I recommend Mithaiwala restaurant to all who loves vegetarian and vegan food.

Great aloo tikki chat in the heart of city. It tastes exactly like the shops in delhi.But I could not get the same in sandringham outlet but the city outlet is too good

It was not a great experience but it wasn't bad either. I asked for the South Indian staple dish, Idli. I expected authentic coconut chutney but it wasn't to be. The Idlis thankfully were fresh and the sambhar was a little off but nothing major. The staff were pleasant and the store was clean. It has a seating space for close to thirty people. Overall, an average day at lunch.

One of the worst Indian food I have eaten on my recent trip to Auckland. Pav Bhaji was cold if not almost frozen. That naan bread was thick and inedible. The curries have a distinct raw taste to them as if they haven't been cooked. I have had packaged meals better than this. The guy at the counter smirked at me when I gave him the feedback about his food. Never eating at this place again.

This is trully an authentic vegetarian Indian restaurant. Their chole bhature and samosa chaat closest to what you’ll get in India. Even their curries are very rich and flavourful. It has to be one of the mose underrated Indian restaurants in Auckland. I’ll recommend this to anyone who loves spicy Indian food.

Pathetic customer service, The man who works there has lot of attitude no decency doesn't know how how to satisfy the customer.<br/>Food is always repeating (in curries)<br/>Their naan's are so thick which one can not chew.<br/>I ordered Pav bhaji and couplemore things<br/>Bhaji was so cold frozen one and they used burger buns for Pav.I was so disappointed.. they need to educate their staff really well.<br/>Never recommend this place.<br/><br/>

Their sweets are ok, but they are ripping off customers, they charge whatever they feel like,whenever they feel like.. first time I went there the man at the counter said if i buy mixed sweets it has to be minimum 250gms which is pretty standard at most Indian sweet shops and I agreed and he charged me by weight, considering the sweets weren't that bad but nothing extraordinary too, but are far better than the canned ones, I decided to go again and this time the man at the counter charged me for each individual piece (close to 350gms) when i asked him to charge him by weight which is standard everywhere even the last time they themselves charged me by weight..he said "i don't know hows that possible , its mixed everything is priced differently, i don't know who did it and how they did it last time"....this is nothing but ripping of customers...I thought I would be a loyal customer here and had already started recommending this place to others but after today's incident (K road branch around 9:00PM).<br/> I AM NEVER EVER GOING TO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE ANYMORE AND WILL WARN PEOPLE ABOUT THESE KIND OF UNETHICAL PRACTICES AS THIS IS MORE OF AN ISSUE OF DISHONEST BUSINESS STRATEGY.

These folks just opened up on K Road and I'm happy to have a new place for work lunches! Their samosa chaat is amazing for a filling snack and at $5 (opening special price, reg. $7) it's hardly breaking the bank either. Staff were lovely and polite, will be sure to head back.
