The waiter is a bit slow, but it's okay. A little expensive but food is worth this price. It is a nice place especially the atmosphere, the sunset in the afternoon is very beautiful.
Went there with a Groupon voucher. Portion size may be on the smaller size but was really happy with what they presented. We ordered the pan-fried prawn cutlet with tomato sauce for shared entree, chilli-salt salmon with noodles and mussels, prawns, chicken with Chinese sausage in paella for mains. Absolutely loved my salmon. Nice flavour, a bit crispy on the outside and very tender inside; the paella was well seasoned and I enjoyed every mouthful. Original price (without voucher) may be slightly on the higher end- but it's Wynyard quarter.

Good Chinese Restaurant.
The food are good. Mostly they serve live seafoods at a reasonable price.
The waiters are very attentive.
The ambience is really nice, especially during winter time... the heaters are very comforting.
Visited there for both dinner and lunch before. Price is reasonable, but the portion size of rice and noodle dishes could be improved. Taste and service was good.
We were hesitant about heading to Live Fish for a Saturday lunch given some of the reviews but were very glad we did. Some of the better dim sum we have eaten in Auckland, the pan-fried Shanghai dumplings a highlight, and very friendly service. It was a shame we were the only people dining, although bad weather and Labour weekend had something to do with that as all of North Wharf was quiet.
A bit on the expensive side but overall a really enjoyable lunch.

Once in a while it’s lovely to indulge in just some basic fresh seafood, and when it comes to freshness, this Asian restaurant is definitely a place to consider.
Before you venture into this spot, I must first pre-warn you about a few things. Firstly, this is not a five star dining experience (or probably even four star) – prepare to get a bit messy with your seafood. Prices are a little ‘ouch’ (approx. $200/ 1kg of fresh cray), and on a cool evening, with the ‘plastic walls’ drawn down, it lacks some ambiance and style.
On a positive note;1. The food was DELICIOUS
2. Everyone seems to speak very good English and the service was decent
I really hate overcooked seafood but this restaurant seems to know what they’re doing.
The black bean diamond clams were AMAZING, although we did have an initial issue where they added chilli (which my partner doesn’t eat) to the dish when we asked for it without. I was a little reluctant about raising this, as from my experience with Chinese restaurants when this happens, they always tend to make me feel like it was MY fault. However, the staff were quick to exchange the dish, and even did it without making me feel like villain.
Crayfish was cooked extremely well and the garlic sauce was seasoned just right which didn’t overpower everything. The dish was actually delicious.
Overall, a lovely food treat for a Friday night.
fish sliders were very nice.. could easily eat 4 of these .. soft crab was okay .. raw fish was seasoned perfectly also have had bread starter, fried flounder and snapper and all were done very nicely
Considering I chose this place at random, the dining experience was pleasant. There was so much to choose from one didn’t know where to begin but in the end, the fried fish with a tangy chilli Thai sauce with a salad was an excellent choice. Delicious.

Started weird.. than start to read feedbacks of google after sitting down and I was like omg..
however reading most of the comments here, people complaining about price I guess you have to consider location of the restaurant! Be realistic! Rent for them would be expensive too I had 5 dishes $127. I think that's fair for location and food, food was good too first dish arrived within 15 min so I can't complain all good here!

Good seafood & nice view. Have two private rooms can be combined into one. The roundtable is smaller than Kiwi size, can comfort fit into 8 people but not 10.

The food was tasty & fresh as well as value for money. Attention to detail by our waitress was outstanding.
We love coming here with the fam it's such an awesome environment and setting and food is great you can get these little portions of different foods like dumplings squid and others very delicious
