Basu Lounge - Auckland - Photo album

It was recommended by a friend. Great service and lovely atmosphere. This restaurant is one of the best dining restaurants I’ve had in NZ. We ate Chef’s recommendations and enjoyed all our selections. The food tasted great. You can tell that the chef is very passionate about what he is doing. Food g
Really yummy Dandan noodle!! Higly recommend spicy one.
Amazing Sichuan style noodles and dumplings. Food was served with a generous portion and inexpensive price. Relatively low wait time as well if you are after quick Sichuan style lunch/dinner you can not go wrong with this place. Must try the beef noodle and chicken dumplings. Do be careful with the
Best wonton noodle I have had, ever. The medium spice was perfect for me (other people might find it a little spicy). Very generous portion sizes. Only little niggle I feel they should have had some napkins on the table, instead of going back to the main counter to get them The staff are nice a
We are regular customers and our orders are always consistent and generous for the price. Service is with a smile and cost very reasonable. The dumplings are huge and very tasty! The noodles are wonderful. Haven't tried the rice yet because we love the noodles and dumplings so much. The broth is ver
So here we have dan dan noodles from basu lounge. We had chicken dan dan noodles and chicken dan dan noodles. Now, lets come to the taste. The taste was yum as there were dumplings too but I personally don't like peanut sauce and it was too much. But I would recommend you all to go and taste it. I a
Hands down favourite dumplings in the whole wide world has to be the pork and chive in spicy sauce. Their ‘hot’ is not to be underestimated, but even though it burns a little for me it’s well worth it. Dan dan noodles a nice accompaniment to the dumplings but not a must. Portion sizes are huge so a
Fantastic experience here. This is the restaurant you have to try. Left me the best impressions. Not only food but also services. I love fried and sourced pork slices the best. Fried potatoes, capsium and eggplant also pretty good. My friend told me mapo tofu is also great. Will try next time.
First thing comes to my mind is that it is spacious & comfortable than the first branch that is on takapuna. Friendly staff & undoubtedly massive menu. Food is great! Basu make killer veg dumplings. A must try place. Parking could be a challenge sometimes. Bus stop nearby.
😋 Quickly became a regular customer. Definitely a place to stop. The dandan noodles and dumplings are definite favs but don't hesitate to try their other dishes.
Been coming to Basu in Browns Bay with my partner for a good 6 Years, so flavorful and great portions. We bring our friend's here and they absolutely love it and come back here when they are in town. My favorite is the stewed pork noodle soup (Med spice for me I enjoy spicy), sweet and sour pork an
I've been the most loyal customer for about 6 years. Highly recomm to everyone.
Best fried dumplings I jave had so far. Ordered a take away, read my book inside the restaurant whilst waiting, and had a feast on the beach, a short walk away.
TLDR: good food! Spice is recklessly added so ensure that you always pick mild.
