Review Godzilla Crayfish - Auckland

Very good restaurant experience with High quality food. The stewed beef noodles is a particular favourite of mine, whilst the even the smaller dishes are done well. It can be a little dark, especially towards the back of the store and the black walls dont help in this regard however in all other aspects the venue is excellent.

Refund <br/><br/>Worst experience, didn’t help today was cold and wer<br/><br/>Got in about 7:30pm, man at the counter scanned our Groupone voucher, wife and I sat down 15mins later waiter the same guy at the fornt bought over a menu, asked for our order, we told him we scanned GrabOne voucher for our crayfish pot for 2 and I tried too communicate we don’t drink alcohol and asked if we can exchange for soft drinks. At this time I realise that he didn’t understand much english at all. Man went back too count made a phone call 15mins later, man comes back. Another 10mins of trying too communicate and getting know where I ask him to put me on the phone, he did, I talked too a lady who spoke English made order and she agreed for us too exchange for soft drinks yay a win. Man goes back too counter I see him type out order takes it too chef, 10mins man comes back says there’s no CRAYFISH!! So I asked him to put me on the phone, I talked too the lady, expressing my frustrations, ask for a refund and she declined, she also tried too sell me if I wanted anything else, I said no. So then we both walked out of the restaurant. 45mins wasted. <br/><br/>I will be following this up with Groupone tomorrow

I ordered the cray fish pasta today.<br/><br/>The portion was fair and typical tomato based sauce w sphagetti and onion however they had very low quality spam or susbtitute meat cubes instead of ham and crayfish meat was small and not properly gutted.<br/><br/>Was $19.90 so am rather disappointed

This hands down was the worst dining experience we have ever had. The service the decor and the toilets should have given us enough warning signs. Then the so called ridiculous crayfish arrived and sealed the miserable time in this dirty restaurant. We strongly recommend you go elsewhere. If a minus 5 star could be given we would give it.

I’m sorry but I can not say a positive thing about this place. We paid $130 for “crayfish” which was not even crayfish! They were small little undersize lobster and weren’t cleaned out at all. The staff aren’t trained and have no idea!! It was horrible! Steer clear

I had a meal with friends at 1pm. we waited the meal for almost 20 mins😔The environment is good, clean and neat. The speed is so loooow😩 Price is normal :$30 or higher for 2.

Walked by countless times to get onto Queen street. Was always attracted to the restaurant because of its peculiar name. Managed to convince some work colleagues to give this place a go. <br/><br/>What you would appreciate with a place like this is the amount of food you get verses how much you pay. The beef noodle soup was a favorite along with the tomato braised beef soup. <br/><br/>Showstopper: Godzilla portions<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+

Went for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the service, quality and quantity of their food. Had the Braised Beef Noodles (with handmade noodles for an extra $1) and the Spring Onion Pancake both were excellent. Will definitely come back and bring my colleagues too!

For $8 you can get 12 dumplings in sour soup or spicy & sweet sauce. Tried both and would recommend the spicy and sweet sauce (yum). My only issue is that dumplings are always a bit soggy and the skin falls apart easily. The restaurant is very clean and spacious with ample seating space too! Definitely recommend :)

I ordered water crayfish dumplings and "stewed beef brisket and tomato pot". <br/>The water crayfish dumplings were like soup dumplings (xiaolongbao). The soup gushed out and dripped all over my plate so please remember to ask for a spoon. It has what looked like half a water crayfish and pork mince. The dumplings were amazing. The soup is savoury and just spicy enough to give a kick!<br/>I told them to pack "stewed beef brisket and tomato pot". The bowl was filled to the brim with big, thick chunks of beef. The meat is tender but they didn't remove the nerves/ligaments (very soft jelly texture that melts in your mouth when warm). They somehow managed to get rid of the earthy smell of the tomatoes. The soup has a strong taste of tomatoes and of course, savoury. There was so much rice, I could only eat half a meal and happy that I don't have to worry about lunch the next.<br/>The customer service was great! I love how they don't skimp on ingredients. I'll definitely come back and try their spicy water crayfish.
