One of the best food experience I had when I went for dinner. If you really like to have some authentic and freshly prepared food, please be patient and enjoy the ambiance. Have great time with staff. Chef prepare food with love and care. No unnecessary extra oil, spices, starch or cream. Its healthy and amazingly tasty. I would love to go again and again. Amazing service and food! We were a little hesitant when we were the only people there on a Tuesday, but it was way better than we were expecting. Had no trouble using the gold privilege as well. This place is a lovely restaurant with delicious food, the staff seem very nice and caring. Would go back for sure. Usually nice and quiet but don't let that deter you.

Went there last night. Really enjoyed the food. Very friendly service. Plus you can order food from here and eat it at the bar next door, The Northern Line, if you are having a drink there. The Northern Line does a generous Happy Hour 4 to 8pm and has an excellent range of craft beer, especially Pale Ale.

A superb find. I was surprised that this place is not having great ratings. The chef definitely knows his / her business. The use of spices is perfect. The menu is well elaborated by the staff and service is very good too. The samosas and veg dishes were fresh and well done. And an amazingly good Dal Makhani and herb Naan. Portions are very good as well. Enjoyable.

Four lads from the Waiheke Island Curry Club popped over to the city in June 2019. We had an outstanding meal here. Very flavoursome dishes and some decent craft beer to match. The decor is so-so but the food is great. Staff were very outgoing and we were impressed with the authentic charcoal tandoor oven. Highly recommend it.

This is the BEST Indian restaurant in Auckland. The food is exceptional and the service is even better. Been to what is classed as the best indian restaurants but to be honest the food here is epic. The taste is exquisite and such effort into everything. The chicken pakora is amazing and I love their lamb saag. Please use this as your go to Indian.

To summarize a nice last evening in Auckland: The food was truly amazing, the service great and the portions huge! Best curry I’ve had! I sincerely recommend to pay it a visit, you will not be disappointed :)

We enjoyed a lovely meal here yesterday, great food - really tasty, one of the best garlic naans I've had in NZ (not stodgy) and amazing service. This is now our new closest Indian restaurant and we'll definitely be returning and becoming regulars!

Couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly. The food is fantastic quality, as is the service. The items which have been cooked in the Tandoor are amazing, these guys use a real charcoal tandoor rather than a gas one. Spoke with AJ (the owner) on a few occasions, and his service is excellent. Considering in Auckland, quite a few restaurants really lack the customer service element (late deliveries, poor quality food, difficult to deal with), this place is a refreshing change. Its my new local!

The team at Dabbawalla has always looked after us and the food is absolutely excellent. Dining in is preferable for the freshest and hottest experience, and because it's tucked out of sight round a corner you'll often have the restaurant to yourselves. Long may that last on the one hand, but I hope these guys get the recognition & custom they deserve for being the best Indian in central Auckland!

Great food, big portions that always fill me up sometimes can't finish it and the staff are beyond friendly and helpful. They even ask for any feed back positive or negative so they can try to improve or keep delivering a great service. 5 stars all round.

We stopped into the Indian Oceania restaurant on Friday night and were greeted with the friendliest service we have ever received! The waiter accommodated our needs very generously. The food was amazing, and so affordable!

My wife and I bought takeaways form here last night. We ordered samosas, naan, poppadoms, chilli chicken and chicken vindaloo - all very reasonably priced. We eat out a lot and we eat Indian food at least once a week. All of the food and sauces were so delicious we couldn't stop eating and ended up feeling pretty bloated! The portions were quite generous too so we still have leftovers to finish off today :) Nice work Indian Oceania!

This is the second time we order online and it is our favourite indian food restaurant at the moment. The naan bread is really good! Also, lamb korma and chicken saagwala are vey tasty and fresh. Amazing food and great customer service!! It's worth trying it

Standard authentic Indian Restaurant prices. They made the chicken dish mild and it was quick just as they were closing. Very friendly people and delicious meal!

Just ordered chicken tikka starter and platter for 2 (veg) with malai kofta and butter naan, garlic naan and chicken biryani.<br/>Most disappointing decision ever. Somehow the chicken biryani didn't look like chicken biryani let alone taste like one. Tasted like mint chutney mixed in rice with chicken with lot of salt. The chicken tikka was very dry and hard to chew. The veg platter which consisted a mix of items, expect for onion bhaji everything was just bland, tasteless whatsoever. The naan was also undercooked. Could actually feel the dough while eating. Terrible food this time. Extremely disappointing.

Poor service. And the taste of the food wasn’t good. The bread that they served was very thick and hard. Also the cutlery and the plates weren’t clean.

Restaurant was closed when they should have been open on a Sunday for lunch. Spotted dirty plates from someone's meal just left on a dining table. Looked like the owners closed shop in a hurry but I don't know how long it's been there.

I am super new to Indian food, and I definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a taste of authentic Indian Cuisine. Thumbs Up to this restaurant.

3.5. It’s a good deal with the 2 for 1 Zomato gold discount. I wouldn’t come otherwise. Service was really good the first time we came, second time average. The fit out is really basic, it’s just not a nice place to dine in as there is no atmosphere, tv blasting away down the back. It’s been really quiet when we have come for dinner on Saturday night so that doesn’t help the situation.

This place is great for a quick yummy lunch that won't dent your pocket. Not sure why it's not busier because the curries around our table were all enjoyed. Dishes were tasty, spice levels were good with decent portions, couldn't fault it

I really felt like a good curry tonight, found this place on Zomato Gold so thought I’d give it a try. I was a little skeptical when I first arrived as the restaurant was empty, but I can honestly say my dining experience was exceptional from start to finish. <br/><br/>I ordered the Chicken Madras, my friend ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and we both got basmati rice, and garlic naan bread. Both curries were absolutely divine, decent sized servings full of flavour. The rice was cooked perfectly and the naan bread had just the right amount of garlic. We were also given complementary poppadoms, and were pleased to find out that the rice would also be complementary!<br/><br/>The staff were absolutely brilliant. Friendly and attentive, they checked in on us from time to time to see how our meals were going, to see if we needed anything else, to refill water and so on.<br/><br/>After redeeming the Zomato Gold discount and factoring in the complementary rice, our final bill only came to $25 which is really good considering how much food we received. Would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try!

The food is cheap and delicious. The owner gives quite a lot of complimentary food on huge/ regular orders at home delivery. Chole Masala, Kadai chicken and palak paneer are the best.

Found by accident. Was wary as not many people inside but smell from cooking was tempting. As good as I've had anywhere. My new favourite Indian takeaway!

Def my go to place now for good Indian food in Auckland. Highly recommend. I always order their butter chicken..it's creamy and not watery like other places

Friendly service . I meet a mate here one evening for a drink we chased it down with this tandoori dish . Amazing taste , texture and spices . Good balance of tastes , it did not disappoint 👍🏼
