Their chicken is UNMATCHED, Best Chicken in all of Auckland city. Hands down best place you'll ever eat. Burgers are Amazing, Well done. Careful once you try it, you'll never want to eat anything else but King Shakas.

I ordered the Jalapeño burger for myself and a snack box for the hubby. The burger was 👌👌👌 I could tell it was done with love. Hands down the best patty I have had in a loooong time. The potato chips with the chilli powder I was very hesitant to share with my kids but even they loved it. And let's just say the chicken nearly didn't make it home to the hubby 😂 I definitely overate tonight!!! Glad to have had King Shakas for dinner. Thanks team!!! ❤️

Pros: - Tasty food, I had the bacon cheeseburger and Kumara fries 👌 - Damn decent pricing. - Friendly staff. - Cool urban style burger joint . Cons: Only one... music. I personally don’t mind listening to track after track of hardstyle drum and bass 😂 but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. That being said, the main reason you’re going is for burgers, chips and fried chicken and THAT they do well! Edit: Came back again after 2 years and they’re still excellent! Added a photo of the burger I got too, look at that beauty!

Step over BK there's a new King in town, King Shakas scratches an itch that I never knew existed. These guys aren't just chefs, they're Fried Chicken Artists that craft the most delicious, boneless, fried chicken minus the greasy transparent bag like most other joints. Staff are extremely friendly, place is very clean with seating available, easy as parking. 10/10!

One of the best beef burgers I've tried so far. I ordered a jalapeno cheese burger and my partner went for a double trouble one, omg! We both loved it. Such flavorful and yummy burgers. Also, the size of the patty is good enough to fill your stomach with one burger. On the sides, we ordered a snack box which had fries and fried chicken, we loved that too. It was probably the best fried chicken I've eaten so far in Auckland. Definitely going back again...

Good price, good portions and good food. What I keep looking for in their burgers, is a bit of sweetness. Also, does not do phone orders which is extremely inconvenient and requires you to waste time.

I have been here a few times over the last couple of weeks for lunch and i thought it was sooo good and the decent priced and the service is super inviting and friendly! I came here tonight for dinner and got a cheese burger and snack box and man was the burger super good!! and totally worth the price plus more!! loved it sooooo much! King Shaka's is awesome. Their Samosa's are the best. I highly recommend the Beef and Onion and the Corn and Cheese, with their Shaka's spicy sauce.

OMG this place is AMAZING!!! Exactly what has been missing in Henderson! Food is so delicious and ridiculously cheap for the quality you receive. The staff are super friendly (they somehow even recognized me as my sister had been in the day before, talk about observant!) We went here for a takeaway and were pleasantly surprised. The size of the burger pattie was enormous and tasted great. The spice on the crunchy chicken chunks was amazing. The price is reasonable, surely will be visiting this place constantly to satisfy my burger craving.

Tried to go here the other day and we were told the wait time was an hour so we decided to just try again a different day. Went here today and was told the wait time was 20 minutes (realistically waited around 25-30mins) with 5 people ahead of us. A bit disappointed on the wait time considering the setup of the store feels like a takeaway/quick feed type of shop. The food tasted quite good though, the chicken was a bit dry, maybe we got an old batch but it was well seasoned and very tasty. The burger patties have many herbs and other stuff in it so it's not the usual salt and pepper taste, some people may like it though. Overall would come back, but just really don't understand the long wait times.

King Shakas is a must try! We had the Crispy Chicken Burger, King Shakas Bacon Double Burger, Lit fries and lunch box with spicy wings (like KFC wicked wings but better and spicier).  All the food was delicious and very generous.  Great value for money and the service is outstanding!

Amazing stuff! So glad to be in proximity to this mecca of chicken. The snack box is big enough for me, a small and inactive woman. Next time I'll be getting exclusively chicken. Think KFC but better quality and more spiced. Excellent dudes at the counter too.

One of the best burger joints around! The quality is perfect everytime and the taste is amazing. The chicken and chips are so tasty, I want to try everything at this place. The burgers have a unique taste, not the typical bland meat and a bit of sauce. The pricing is reasonable and the portions are good. If you are in the area, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed with the food or service.

This place is amazing, cant believe we had not tried it for many years but glad we decided to give it a go! Now we've been there multiple times and the service and food is always incredible. They make sure all their customers are happy. The food does take time to arrive but food is totally worth the wait and considering they're loved by many people. My partner and I love it so much!!

Done right. Patty has its own flavours going on. Burger wasn't greasy at all and held together well. My only disappointment was the patty was drier than I would have liked it otherwise all n all a different burger joint and worth trying out.<br/><br/>PS. Make sure your hungry when you go.

Have only heard good things about this place so had to try it out and they did not disappoint! The guy working there was super informative and helpful when he knew it was our first time there. Burgers are made to order & they were amazing! The chicken is breast meat which you would expect to be dry but not at all! Super juicy, super crunchy & packed with flavour! Wow I'm not much of a review writer but for this one i have to say something. I had the double trouble burger with large fries. Let me first start if with the fries as i ate all of them before i got home. I have no idea what they spice them in but i was addicted from the first chip. Now let me get to the burger i judge burger places by their meat patties. And this meat pattie from shakas was packed full of flavour and juicy goodness. While i waited on my burger i tried the boneless chicken pieces sitting in the warmer 1 spicy 1 normal whoa! Crunchy! Great taste and moist. I loved the spicy ones the most.<br/>This was my first time and i highly recommend i will be going back to try the chicken burgers. 2nd review to come

We’ve been here numerous times for a treat and they always deliver. It’s a bit of a wait because it’s always made fresh upon order but it’s worth it. Our go to is the chicken burger and the big beef burger, both sooo nice with heaps of taste and quite big. The chicken is so crispy! The people are so friendly and have even chucked in a few pieces of chicken for free. Best cheese fries we have had also. The only let down is the area. We usually get take away.

Couldn't be bothered cooking so I thought I'd try this place out. I read some reviews about the portion size for the amount of $$ you pay. WE really enjoyed our meal tonight! Daughter had fish bites and chippies. I had the Double Trouble with Lit Cheese Fries (you gotta eat it while its hot) and Mrs had the Cheeseburger and large chips. The large chips are more like XXL chips (in comparison to Macca's/BK). Friendly service and meals nicely packaged. Both burgers had a sweet taste to it (maybe caramelised onions?) but we really enjoyed it! Only snapped a pic of the cheese fries and the Double Trouble burger. Paid about $33 for the lot which I thought was very well priced for the amount of food.

Epitome of excellence in customer service. Cozy and chilled environment, chicken, fries were delicious but the burgers were my favourite, they are incredible. Not your ordinary fast food burger joint, these patties are nicely seasoned and cooked, delicious flavouring and always served with a smile. Recommend a bigger place as you will have many more customers coming through. Try their milkshake its also a hit.

Heard about all the good reviews of this place so decided to try this out with my partner. I guess i should say i caught them on the wrong day. It took quite awhile for our food to come out. When we got it my kumara fries were burnt. And there wasnt enough aioli sauce, wanted to ask for more sauce for my fries but i was too shy lol. The burgers were aight. Nothing "wow". My partner ordered a burger with "lit" sauce but idk if bbq was the lit sauce so we were kinda let down. However they make the best milkshakes ever!!!! Hands the best milkshake ive tasted lol but thats about it ...

Heard about this place via fb ... so decided to go an try it out on the weekend of the MMT vs aussie game ... ordered 4 burger combo's ... the burgers were well seasoned & full of flavour along with the chips as well ... i would go back again definitely for sure ... 👌🤙🤘👍🖖 ...

KING SHAKA 🤤🤤 has taken burgers to a whole new level with all of those intense flavours. We literally came home with leftovers not wanting to eat all of it because we knew we would be there again to eat some more. Defs recommend 👍🏼❗️❗️❗️

Best god damn burgers in New Zealand period.... If you are in the area I suggest this food place heavily. If you like hot sauce then ask for "lit sauce" on your burger. Best hot sauce I've ever tasted.

I've been here a few times now, so I feel confident in saying that this place is awesome, and the two guys who run it are so cool and chill.<br/> The chicken sandwich is insane, and the chicken bites themselves are also delicious. I tried the bacon cheeseburger, and it was solid... not game changing, but if you are in the mood for a burger it absolutely hits the spot, and you will most definitely not leave hungry.<br/>We've also tried a bunch of the sides -- the curry puff was delish, the cheesy jalapeno fries are ace, and the samosas are ridiculously good!! Each time we've had them, they're perfectly cooked... perfectly warm through, so crispy on the outside, but not oily at all.<br/>I'm really keen to try their Saturday South African specials... They've only been open a few months and I understand they're going to make a few changes to the menu in order to match demand, but whatever they end up doing, I'm stoked to have such a great local place to come back to. <br/>I have no idea why their average rating isn't higher -- I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place.

Located close to Henderson Transport Hub, it is probably one of the easiest and cheaper places to pick up burgers, chicken and chip lunch boxes and thickshakes! I ordered the lamb burger and fries, my brother order 'Double Trouble' and a chocolate thickshake, and my mum ordered their largest burger and ordered a classic cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger as takeaways.<br/><br/>We were not disappointed! Food was a lot bigger than we thought, and the staff was so friendly. Definitely will be going back.

Love this place. The property itself isn't the best but the chicken pockets are amazing. A friend put me on it. Location is a little difficult in terms of parking but the food is delicious and the staff very cool n friendly :)

My partner has been multiple times and raved on about the burgers so I wanted to try it out and wow yum! the patties are home made and have so much flavour in them with the sauce was delish! the coffee is really good too nice and friendly atmosphere definitely will be back!
