Review Inca - Auckland

Been a few times now. Love the guacamole here! First time for parents and they enjoyed all the dishes too. Only thing drinks came out much later than food.

We went there to try the ceviche and found that it wasn't as authentic as we thought it would be. There are different options to choose from. We ordered a couple of different styles of ceviche and thought the combination was weird especially the miso style. It would be nice to just have an authentic and simple ceviche available as another option. We also ordered the karaage chicken. The chicken was fine but the sauce that was poured on top of it was extremely salty. In saying this, other dishes we had were fantastic and this is just some constructive feedback for the chefs. We would definitely return but will probably avoid the chicken dish.

Food was quite good, sashimi platter was a bit expensive for what it is.. to be honest, the fish was fresh, tiger prawns tempura was quite tasty. Service was nice and efficient.

Staff here have a great sense of humour. They were friendly when serving and checking in on us. Food was served on time. Everything we ordered was delicious. They have good range of cocktails- they yummy too. Will definitely come here again, perhaps for dinner. Best to have a reservation, so you don’t miss out .

Amazing journey through different tastes. It was my first time here. Recommend to take preset menu as you will experience highlights of the restaurant. Service was professional. Dishes taste outstanding. Definitely must visit again to try others. Family friendly, have kids menu.

Wonderful service, attentive staff, delicious food. My favourite dishes were the pacific ceviche, corn fritter and bbq chicken. I booked online for 8:15pm on a Sunday, had an email confirmation followed by another email 24hrs out. Then at 7pm on Sunday was called saying they have an unconfirmed booking for me and that they don’t normally take bookings after 8 on a Sunday. Being told my booking was unconfirmed and having this unexpected rush to get there by 8 soured the experience somewhat, if I had been called earlier in the day it wouldn’t have been so stressful. Perhaps the online booking system should be fixed.

The pork ribs with honey were delicious paired with a glass of Argentina red. I loved the corn fritters with the wasabi mayo. The salmon sashimi was okay but wouldn’t repeat it

A great catch-up dinner with my daughter, with plenty of dishes on the table. Vegetarian options for me, and would be happy to return again sometime.

Ceviche was my only meal which was beyond my expectations, delicious beyond compare. Trust me am an avid fan of ceviche, this was my best so far. My son who had the pork ribs grilled truly enjoyed his meal. Other son had the eggplant which was also very tasty and satisfying. Hubby though had the chicken who was moaning not to his expectations. I should a bit pricey overall.

We were trying to book the Ponsonby venue, but being the hottest thing in town at the time, couldn't get a table so beelined here. What an amazing evening of food! Honestly had not much expectations going in but every single dish blew us away. They were very busy but the food and drinks came out bang on time - the attentiveness of the staff despite the rush was commendable. We definitely ordered quite a lot that at one point the Manager took away the menus and banned us from getting more. And rightly so! I'm not a big seafood person but every single seafood dish on there is just divine! I'm in awe of this place. But hoping it's not a one-hit wonder :)

Absolutely gorgeous! My partner and I came for our 5 year anniversary and it was divine. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable service, and the short ribs were to die for. So rich, and the miso went great with it. The cocktails were another 10/10 - very well made. Thank you to Laury and the other staff for such a wonderful experience. (Please excuse my terrible photography)

The restaurant is located on the roof of the Westfield Shopping mall with other restaurants surrounding it. Yes, the food was delicious, 100%, although the price for the size of the portion is on the upper side of things, so be prepared to spend $80-$100 pp with drinks. Given the portion size I would say you would need either a main and at least 1 entre or 1 dessert. We tried both available desserts to share and they were enough for the 4 of us as they are quite rich in flavour and the portion size is very generous. I personally loved churros and having been to South America before - A+++. I am adding the photos of the food we had exempt I forgot to photograph the salmon sushimi, which was 3 slices of salmon for the portion . I gave only 4 stars for the atmosphere because when it got full and busy it got very noisy and it was hard to carry on the conversation with my family.

Came here for lunch and the restaurant was full, so was glad we booked. The staff were attentive and lovely. Food came out reasonably quick and was full of flavour. Some of us ordered different dishes from the menu, but the set menus looked delicious and plentiful. The desserts are a must try as well. Will be back!

Ambiance is good and friendly staff. If quantity matters to you as diner, this might not be the right place, although they have a 'big feed' menu that is 58$p/p but haven't tried no idea how big it is?? Good find on their poppers so far the hottest in town 🔥 🥵 👍

Had a really amazing lunch here! Firstly, the service by Martina was incredible. She made me excited about the food and gave the best recommendations, all with a big smile and vibrant energy! The food was full of flavour and the ingredients complemented each other perfectly. Standout dishes were the tuna tostada - and you can never go wrong with beautifully seasoned guacamole and fresh sashimi. The mango chilli margarita, piña borracha and cherry pisco sour were exciting and so delicious! … Then it was time for dessert. Being indecisive and having the biggest sweet tooth, I went for both! The churros! Wow! Some of the best I’ve ever had - rich, not at all dry and practically melted in my mouth! The dulce de leche with the toasted meringue - yes please - would definitely order again, especially if you want something lighter and more delicate on the palate than the churros. If I had to pull Inca on one thing, it would just be the Peruvian theme is not truly reflected in the menu.

I heard about Inca for a while and often walk pass it when we went to Newmarket. I never tried peruvian dishes, and quite keen to try them (especially with asian twist to it). With not many restaurant open on the New Year day, of couse Inca came to mind first. So we went to give it a go. We love the ambient and how accomodating to our toodler it is (a bit random I know, but their high chair is one of the best with a foot rest support), and also similar to Masu (with Nic’s touch), the kids menu is amazing, not the usual food but still yummy and tasty for kids to enjoy. We ordered the prawn and broccoli (2 separate dishes) for our toddler, and we ordered Guac (yum but can be too spicy for some people, if you dont really like too much heat, ask for the jalapenos to be separated), corn and sweet potato fritter (crunchy and yummy), kingfish tiradito (our favourites), beef short ribs (yum soft in the inside with a cashew nut crunch), and chargrilled eggplant for the two of us. The toddler was hangry but the food came relatively quickly for her in which she gulped down the prawns (lucky we got a bit to try), they were delicious and very well priced. Our favourite was the Tiradito Kingfish which was light, refreshing, and tasty (with great chilli kick)! I love the beef too as it was so soft and yummy. We also thought the price is quite fair being in the rooftop of Westfield and most of them would rather take me forever to prepare). Cost us $140 for us (this already include 15% gst). Yum! Will definitely be back again.
