Hi, I went to Gelato Workshop and I love their aura. The ice cream parlour offers a delightful experience with its diverse selection of flavors. Consistently smooth and delicious gelato! Came in today and they had a combo with brownie that was incredibly yummy as well. This was the Biscoff brownie and they had about 5 more other flavours. Yum!!

Was welcomed warmly upon arrival by the lady. I asked for her recommended flavour. She suggested the Snickers Flavour. It is exceptional. Best ice-cream 🍦 I will be coming back!!!!! 😃 Only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere is because of traffic from Birkenhead Road. Bit noisy. There is seating for me to sit aswell.

Staff is so nice and friendly and make you feel very welcomed! Very clean and nice Ice Cream Parlor! Highly recommend!

Rupen distinguished himself as the highlight of the event. His adeptness in impressing customers and understanding the value they hold is commendable. The experience was truly remarkable, and the prospect of returning is most appealing, particularly given that everything is crafted in-store. The Biscoff brownie surpassed expectations and was exceptionally delectable. Rupen, too, exhibited warmth and cordiality, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend this .

Loved the biscoff, and also the fig & honey, both were great. The chocolate and pistachio were alright as well. Would certainly go again for the first two flavours.

Very high quality ice-cream, and lovely staff as well. I had the brownie and single scoop combination and both were incredibly tasty. Definitely recommend!

Friendly customer service and yummy deserts. I’d rather come here than the gelato places in browns bay. Lots of different options to choose from which I love.

Great variety of gelatos, prepared in house. A friend and I tried the gelato - butterscotch, ferro rocher and lime. Brilliant ! There are quite a few awards to GW’s credit, that are displayed in the store. Friendly service and value for money. Handy location for residents of the Shore, and a fantastic summer delights spot when in the area. Please bring along your vegan friends as well. Looking forward to many more visits.

Although slightly pricy, its very much worth it to treat yourself with their milkshakes (especially knowing it supports this small business). The lady at the till was super friendly too!!

The couple who run this store are consistently really friendly and the ice cream is always really good. If you're dairy free, you're in for a treat because there are actually a few options to choose from

Popped in for a little dessert after dinner to fix my sweet tooth, always drive past this spot but never stopped by. Finally figured I should give it a go since I was in the mood for gelato and it definitely did not disappoint!! So many yummy flavours to choose from but I ended up picking Ferrero Rocher as it is my favourite chocolate. The gelato is so creamy, not sickly sweet and had nice big chunks of the Rocher!! This is the place to get gelato in Birkenhead, also the staff are very lovely!

I tried 2 scoops of gelato on a cone which was $6.80. The gelato came out looks 3 scoops ! Did I get a bonus ? 😋 I chose strawberry & green tea flavors. Strawberry one tastes a bit too sour for me and for green tea one, I like a little more strong flavour in it. There is a space about 10 people can sit to enjoy gelato. Which flavour shall I try next time ?

Salted caramel gelato and summer! Two great matches - will be back to try their other flavours. I only found out about this place at the chocolate and coffee show last year.

At last we found a gelato shop that sells Ferrero Rocher Gelato. They make it themselves and it is really good. Service was friendly. Will be back for more.

My cousin told me about this place and from all the pics I've seen, I knew I had to try it. <br/><br/>I got a salted caramel popple and it was delicious. It does get pretty sweet though. My brother ordered the chocolate one and the chocolate gelato was very rich. <br/><br/>Really like this place. Nice cosy atmosphere. And friendly service. Only downside is they only have one popple maker so it's like a 15mins wait for each popple per person.

Went there on a Saturday night, after dinner, after reading the reviews about it and continuing on a quest to find the best gelato in Auckland. I think we might have found ourselves a winner. Greeted by the friendly owner operator. Offered a taste test of whatever we fancied. I had the Whiskey Cream, wife had the Pistachio and niece had the Tiramisu. They were all so good. We're spreading the word and definitely going back for more, soon.

Good service! We went on a Sunday night and there were no other customers. The lady let us try basically every flavour before we ordered. We both ordered waffles where the lady told us we'd be waiting for 10 mins which we were okay with. Thankfully we did wait cos they were amazing!!!!! Not too much of a extensive range of gelato flavours but the basics are there. Nice for an after dinner dessert.

The best flavour by far was the Salted Butter Caramel. I ordered half a hot waffle as well and it took about half an hour to be ready. Although the lady ended up giving me a full waffle due to the long wait. Service is okay, as are the gelato flavours. A bit disappointed to be honest. Rahul Mohanty

I will always go to this place whenever I'm in Birkenhead. Great variety of ice creams, love the kinder surprise! Their cones are really nice too. And they are not expensive at all! The staff is really nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends.

The only one gelato shop in Birkenhead. And it opens until 9:30pm!<br/><br/>The gelato is homemade and their flavour change for difference seasons. You can find durian flavour in store if you are lucky.<br/><br/>I love the lime and oranges sorbets. Very refreshing.<br/>Strawberry is their ice cream award winner. Not to miss it.<br/>

This place is super cute! Came upon it accidentally after dinner and so glad we did. I had the salted caramel flavoured ice cream and my friend had the Fererro rocher flavour- both we loved. Decent prices and really nice service too. Great stop for a late night treat after dinner!

Really liked the place, staff was very nice and let us try all the flavours before getting them. We ended up getting Durian, Strawberry and Kinder-chocolate flavours. The reason we found this place was because I talked about wanting to eat a Durian icecream and it just so happened that my friend knew this place sells them. Anyway, the visit wasn't a disappointment, I understand why strawberry won an award ... It was smooth, creamy and unique, really recommend! The durian could do with more flavour but I understand that it's so expensive here so I won't be expecting any changes soon. Lastly, i'd say that kinder would be the least I liked out of the 3 ... mainly because it didn't stand out for me. Overall, the Gelato Workshop's icecream was so good I enjoyed eating it on a wet cold day. 😅 you have to keep an open eyes for this shop though, as it could easily be missed!

Amazing affogato and some really good flavours, plus couldn't decide so guy in there let us try about 5 different ones before we actually decided! Will be trying the waffles soon.

Great home made gelato, great hospitality, definitely a must go! Great for the whole family at reasonable prices, will definitely be returning :)

Best gelato in Auckland. <br/>We visit the Gelato Workshop on a weekly basis - love it. <br/>It's true Italian gelato (the owners studied in Italy!).<br/>Friendly service and generous portions, plus regularly changing flavours.

Chocolate gelato is delicious. Had several times. Friendly service and can't wait to try all the other flavours! Gelato made locally on site I believe.

Excellent! The freshly made waffles and gelato are delicious and the service is so, so friendly. Once you start sampling the flavours deciding on one (or two) becomes difficult. Highly recommended.

Delicious fresh gelato, the fruit sorbets are also delicious. Don't get it in a cup as the cones are made fresh in store and they're the best part!
