Review Suburban Kitchen - Cambridge

A friend an I visited on a Monday for an early lunch and both ordered the nourish bowl with a poached egg. We both gave our meal a 5/5 for flavour and presentation (although scraping out the bowl using a fork was a challenge). At a time when eating out is a luxury it's much appreciated when served something that you certainly can't make at home. Prices seemed standard ($24 for our dishes). Service was quick and friendly. Decor is vibrant; intimate but not squashed indoor seating and outdoor seating. Highly recommend a visit and we'll be back.

A great spot for breakfast, both well made and fast! The mushroom and chili omelette was SO good. The sauces from the mushrooms and the ricotta (I believe) worked so well together with the pumpkin seeds to make a unique omelette that you'll really enjoy. The Brioche with caramelized onion was a particular treat! So sweet and savory, the next time I go I'll be picking one of these up for sure! My only hope would be for a more interesting brew for filter coffee. I was hoping for some info about what was being served and was only told it was "strong". I was hoping for more information about the roaster, process, or similar to get some more insight as well as something hopefully unique or particularly interesting to enjoy with my breakfast.

Busy local spot with delicious warm breakfast and divine pastries. We enjoyed flat whites and baps (if you're American, just order it!). The Egg + Butty Bap was seriously delicious and kept me full for a while.

We came here to try somewhere new in Cambridge and we will definitely be back! They have a great selection of cabinet and menu food. We came for morning tea, hubby with a Jaffa muffin and me with the sausage roll. Then to finish we shared the ginger kiss cake. The whole thing was delicious. The coffee was strong and hot. Just the way we love it!

Drove through on a road trip. Had the best coffee I have had on my 4 week trip to NZ. Lauren was wonderful, friendly and made incredible coffee! Was blown away by her skills and level of service. Highly recommend

We had a lovely lunch break at this place while travelling through. The food was delicious (I had a burger) and staff was super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy - I loved all the little interesting things of their design. The only slightly disappointing thing was that they decided to clean the toilet while we were eating, and we sat inside, quite close to the bathroom. It smelled like chemicals while we finished our food. Otherwise, everything was perfect, thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Suburban Café in Cambridge. I had a coconut latté and bacon & eggs on toast, both which were delicious, well presented, and good value for money. I recommend giving this café a visit if you are in Cambridge, it was a lovely vibe sitting outside even on a chilly late Autumn morning.

Arrived early for our wkend break decided to have a coffee while waiting...the food looked fresh n morish so ordered lunch as well.. Salmon and chicken both meals delicious..thanks Sub Kitchen

You eat with your eyes and the food behind the glass counter says it all. Looks amazing and yes tastes amazing too. Decided to order off the menu 'Suburban Breakfast' .. well worth the price and delicious. Highly recommend this place for a breakfast or brunch!! Cheers guys .. awesome job!! �

This place is the real deal! Awesome fresh food (the suburban breakfast is my personal fave) the coffee is hands down best in Cambridge, funky decor, Excellent service, just perfect!

Brunch yesterday for 3 people...it took over half an hour to get food. It was not very busy. Tables that came in after us had their food before us. No explanation given we we finally checked after being very patient! Clearly forgot our order but did not admit this. Food is great but we won't be back. Too many other great cafes in CB that have food and service sorted.

Had a lovely lunch with hubby - he had Sub. Breakfast & I had Chick Stack. Coffees were a-ok too. Just wondered why the big breakfast was served in a bowl and not a plate. Made it a bit tricky to cut bacon. We will be back for a sweet treat next time.

Great food, coffee and service. Clean and cosy atmosphere. Was most impressed at other dinners praising the staff about the food and service. Obviously everyone loves the place! Highly recommend.

Totally worth the drive from Hamilton for breakfast!!!

Seriously, this is the best kept secret in Cambridge. I was told about this gem last week so I popped in for a coffee & slice and I felt like I found the missing piece of my café-loving heart. Beautiful delicious food, excellent coffee, and the service was warm and friendly. So often there are cute cafés with good food and grumpy baristas but this place ticks all the boxes! I'll be coming back again and again. Cheers!

Great food and fantastic coffee - even better only a short walk away! Definitely recommend!
