They have excellent staff, really great service. Food was delicious, limoncello margarita was exceptional and absolutely loved the ambiance. I had a blast on my birthday and will definitely recommend this place 10/10 to everyone.

Great service, food is nice, although their pizza seems fairly different from the Neapolitan style that I love, I find the dough and especially the crust on the tougher side, the sauce and toppings r solid. The signature pizza bread appetizer is unexpectedly good, perhaps even better the the pizza, we also ordered a pistachio dish which is very tasty, and a risotto ball starter which is good but doesn’t go great with the sauce, coming off a bit too rich and heavy. The panna cotta is very nice. The ambiance is old fashion and nice, but we find the lights r a little too dim, making it a little challenging to see things or reading the menu. Interestingly enough, this place resembles another Italian restaurant in town in many ways like the identical logos on napkins and menus, very similar decor and menu designs. I suspect maybe the same owner.

Best Italian food I've had in a very long time. We got the fungi and margarita pizzas which were just perfect. The tomato sauce on the margarita was so good and the crust was the perfect thickness. Desserts were also delicious. Staff are very friendly as well. Overall fantastic experience, can't wait to come back.

This is our fave Italian restaurant since moving to Christchurch. Always super friendly service, such a great atmosphere and authentic feel along with exceptional food. This picture is of the gluten free bolognese and it is divine!

Amazing Italian restaurant. The food was fresh and devine. Definitely recommend the place for a dare night. Do book in advance. We booked and it was still busy. On eof the best Italian places in christchurch.

Everyone enjoyed their food, and I think the Gnocchi Verde I had was great, however, the Polenta Fries here are literally the best ones I've had so far and I would come back just for those!!

Great atmosphere,popular and busy but friendly welcoming staff.
Had a chat with the Italian owner who was very open and friendly.
Food was delicious and great value. Really tasty.
We had the house pizza bread for starters,
Gnocchi and spaghetti for mains -the food was so good forgot to take a picture until halfway through the spaghetti and nearly finished the gnocchi.
Finished with raspberry, coconut and chocolate gelato
Super tasty
Highly recommend this place, just don't book all the tables when we go back pls

Booked a table for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. Good atmosphere. The staff gave us a lovely round table and were very attentive. They even put candles in the birthday girl’s dessert and gathered around to sing happy birthday, which she loved. Food was excellent and seemed very authentic. Gnocchi was mouthwatering. Would definitely recommend 👍

Atmosphere is wonderful. Staff are excellent, and the food and drinks superb. A whole menu of plant based options, so fantastic for vegans. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals (and the whole dining experience.)

I bought a takeaway pizza tonight, Di Mare. The seafood was what seemed like cheap marinara mix, it went soggy and cold really fast, the base was dirty on the bottom and under cooked, pizza is my favourite food so was genuinely disappointed, nice restaurant inside though and service was friendly

Went here for the first time yesterday.
The service was amazing. All staff that we talked to were very friendly and were great with my kids.
We ordered a variety of different food and all of it was perfect and had so much flavour.
Also very generous serving sizes too.
We will be back.

My husband and I had dinner here last night for our wedding anniversary. The food is beautiful, the atmosphere is lovely...not too fancy so you can wear jeans if you want but not too casual like a takeaway place. The service was wonderful. I cannot speak highly enough about Formaggio's. Thanks!

What a great night! We used the back room for a function for 20 people and had a blast! We were able to put up decorations and use the TV for music and Gates and the other staff were magic and we were so well looked after. Food and drink was perfecto! Thanks we'll be back :)

Had a great dinner here last night with friends. Easy place to take kids - big space for them and the room out the back is perfect with a pool table and piano. Loved the pizza chicken and avocado was delicious and the kids loved the nachos.

Hi, myself and 3 other friends came for dinner on Saturday night at around 7.15pm. I would like to sing the praises of our waitress; she was energetic, extremely friendly and very informative. Unfortunately we can not remember her name. We also really appreciated the option of having vegan options. 5 stars would definitely be returning.

Such yummy pizza! I adore the fact the you put the pizza on a piece of wax paper in the box so you don't get that smell of warm cardboard(yuck) and it also prevents soggy box.

This has the feel of a genuine Italian bistro. Good but not too extensive menu. Was very busy when we arrived at 6.30 on a Wednesday evening so BOOK! Service was good and food quality was perfect.<br/>Because of the numbers dining,  the noise level was high. Prices were average. We had a great meal and will go back again.

They charge around $30 a pizza for far worse quality than the hell pizza place just down the road... The restaurant is a nice place to eat, but the food is average at best. Minimal toppings, and a base made from soap. If you are willing to pay top dollar for pizzas go to Winnie Bagos or Barretta as at least there you get your moneys worth. This is only expensive because it is near Cashmere.... no other reason.

Tried this place after getting a Grab One voucher. Pizza was fairly average with minium toppings, not worth the price they charge. Probably wouldn't return.
