Review The Rockpool - Christchurch

After over 5 years in Christchurch, and having tried many breakfast places, this is one of the best breakfasts in town. Maybe even the best breakfast! We both had the big breakfast and wanted to leave out the carbs, which was no issue at all and they added some spinach instead. For the price (24 NZD), it was the best and biggest brekkie we ever had. The quality of the ingredients was excellent and the way they cooked the bacon and scrambled the eggs was just awesome. The service is fast and always with a smile. The coffee matches the quality of the breakfast to make it all complete.

A great pub. Good beer, tasty food, and fantastic service. We had the lamb shank and filled steak. Both were great. To top it off we played pool and drank Margareta from a tea pot. We will be going back.

Easy to book online. Asked for an area where we could catch up for friends and they did this for us. The staff were amazing, very accomodating, always making sure we were content with everything. The food was excellent and the price too. The food had great taste to it. Cooked to perfection. I had the roast and the Yorkshire pudding was amazing. Vegas cooked perfect. The atmosphere was aesthetic. An original pub tastefully decorated. Lots of parking, but its paid parking unfortunately. There are Mobility parking spots nearby. I can't rave how much I loved the entire night here, the music was tasteful for all generations and I 100% highly recommend the meals and the amazing Deserts on offer. Yummy steak, good service and large servings. There are pool tables too to play after meal. Their alcoholic drink selection is a must try as well. Great place

We were in Christ Church for meetings and we found ourselves at Rockpool often. We found the food to be reasonably priced and the menu had a lot of great things on it. I really enjoyed the lamb shank. We also caught a rugby match. I should have taken pictures but I must have failed to. The staff were easy to communicate with.

I come here regularly with some friends for breakfast before we all start work. The $10 breakfast special is good and I usually add a side of hash browns for $4 to top it off. For what you get, it’s a pretty good deal. Customer service is a bit hit and miss, but is not too bad.

I’ve been eating here every time I’m at Christchurch. They got good specials everyday. The one I’m always getting tho is this beautiful lamb. Tastes as good as it looks.

Lovely late breakfast on New Year's day. The sausage was especially nice, which is something I don't say often.

Tasty good sized meal, every1 smiled when serving us, special request when it came to desert. Happily made it happen. Polite n friendly atmosphere. Coffee cups need to be bigger n manlier! Was a teaspoon sided coffee!!! Suggest u go enjoy it for yaself :)

Loved it. The distinguish gentleman at the entrance was very charming and convinced us to enter the restaurant and bar. Absolutely worth it. Food was great, service was awesome definitely want to come back when we return to Christchurch.

We were impressed by how friendly the staff was. When we entered, we were promptly greeted by the waitress with a friendly smile. We ordered fish and chips, and chicken parmigiana. We didn’t have to wait for long. The fish was blue cod - super fresh, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The chicken was soft and succulent. It came with the most delicious mushroom sauce. The mains also came with ample chips and salad. I’m impressed by the high quality of the food served.The waitress also came to check that our food was to our liking several times. She served us cold water with ice which we much appreciated as it was a hot day. She took the initiative to refill our jug when it was empty. We really enjoyed the yummy food and the pleasant ambience. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. .

Had a very good experience with the friendly staff. Cocktails are nice and service is quick. The pool area creates a fun environment for all! Would recommend!

Blackboard menu $20 Hineken and ribs and chips and salad. Nowadays everything very expensive but this menu is great cost performance. And good things was teast good too. Late night you need to wait long out side with que.
