Great food. Sunday roast for $15 was tasty and great size. Drinks weren't served to each person and expected to pass down table. Wasn't busy and could move down side of table so seemed lazy. Had to ask for order to be taken as waited so long. First time service not so good. Would have been 5/5 if service was better. Clean toilets. Bar and know there are quiz nights and wine tastings.

Our very first meal in New Zealand! And it was definitely a good idea to go there. I ordered West Coast BBQ ribs and it was sooooo soooo delicious!! A great place with nice ambient and good beer too. Service is really friendly. Recommend!

Great bar with plenty of Monteith's on tap, ranging from lagers to craft beers. There is an outdoor area which is nice to sit in as it tends to be quiet. Reasonably priced and one of the only pubs in the immediate area so tends to be a local for many people.

Meals and service are excellent. one of the few places that can cook a thick steak to your liking. Definitely worth dropping in for a meal. The number of times I've been, Sunday nights are reasonably busy in the restaurant, bar not so much. suggest to make reservations if more than a couple, and you don't want to be disappointed.

My husband thought his roast meal was delicious and just a little on the small side. Said he would've been happy to pay a bit more to get a bigger helping.
I ordered the warm roast vegge salad (minus feta cheese) which was the size of an entree but cost $26. It was delicious! But I was still hungry and feeling a bit hard done by. I told the staff, Nigel I think, and he brought me another salad free of charge. I was satisfied after that and he discussed it with the chef who was going to adjust the serving size. Happy with the outcome. Thank you for listening and being open to our feedback.

We're semi-regulars here, the food is consistently good, prices OK and service is good. I'd like it more if there was more of a delay between courses - barely finished one when the next arrives. Can also get a bit noisy and a little draughty at times.
