Mexicali is typical Mexican quick bite, inexpensive choice of food. You know what you are getting each time. It’s always our first choice if we crave some Mexican take away. Food is always freshly prepared and quite reasonable. Plenty of options from nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas. When we first started going there was no choice of any vegan food but staff was always kind enough to make something for us. Now I’m glad to say it’s all part of standard offerings in the menu ! Well done ! You can either take away or dine in. It’s as good as it gets!

Fast and easy ordering of wide ranging selection, food preparation, and table servicing. Nice and friendly staff. Not too busy even during lunch hours so there's no queue. Some tables available in the restaurant. Ample parking around. Good food but the nachos was buried with the sauces and not crispy and hence the missing star.

Food is sooo fresh and delicious here. It's incredibly quick even though the store was full when I visited and all the staff are friendly and communicate efficiently.
I ordered a churro last minute and they whipped it up 5mins later after warning me there may be a delay. It was delicious.
I recommend the Taco Bowls & Churros with the caramel sauce.

We had the beef nachos and vege taco bowl. Always love the corn chips that go with my taco bowl.

Absolutely delicious. Small hiccup with our order but it was rectified beyond satisfaction and with huge smiles. Fresh quality food, lovely friendly staff, happy vibe and tasty frozen margarita's top off the meal perfectly.

Friendly staff. Food was fresh. Thought it was odd there was only brown rice and not white. The barbacoa is good and the salads were fresh.

Enjoyed this whole experience! <br/>Accompanied by four other foodies, we all chose different dishes, every dish was amazing and well above average, except for the pulled pork-this dish is pretty average. <br/><br/>Great atmosphere, amazing range of beverages that I've never seen before and good portions of food! <br/><br/>Can't wait to go back and order everything else on the menu

Because Mexicali in Wigram is so close to where I work, I usually pop in once a week. <br/><br/>The Paleo salad (except I add dairy) is always fresh, spicy and delicious and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. <br/><br/>The store itself is always clean and busy - if you're looking for Mexican on the go I would definitely recommend visiting !

This is my go to Mexican place in Christchurch. I first tried Mexicali Fresh in the North Island and was pretty stoked to find they had one in town. I always go for the Jalapeno Chicken Quesadilla but the burritos and nachos are tasty as well! The have a deal on most days of the week too :)
