Review Sushi Time - Christchurch

Lots of options and good pricing. Fresh and tasty ingredients. I had the spicy prawn 8pk today, it was delicious. Perfect bite sized pieces too. I've always had fast and friendly service here and enjoyed every thing I've tried from them so far. Definitely recommend.

Pretty good range of choices for lunch, good rate quality&quantity/price. I often end up buying my lunch here. The staff is welcoming and really efficient. If you like sushi, this is your place where to stop by for lunch. Recommend

Finally sushi that is a size that I can eat in one mouthful. Rather than a huge piece of sushi that falls apart all over the place while eating, I can now eat without food fallout fear. Taking a star off as the packaging is plastic, looking forward to more environmentally friendly packaging in the future.

Sushi time is one of the best takeaway sushi shops in Christchurch. The prices are very good, The food is always really nice, especially the crispy chicken and the teriyaki chicken. They also do Freshly made cooked karaage chicken. If you go here often try and grab one of their stamp loyalty cards I think its every tenth sushi box you get one for free

This is our workplace favourite go-to takeaway and also one of my personal Christchurch favourites. I especially enjoy the variety on offer - mini don bowls, big bento boxes, sushi packs, sashimi, and even fried chicken&slaw etc. Very affordable especially for the quality. The sushi rice is perfect. In all the times I have been there, I have never had a bad experience.

Normal priced sushi place. They serve great taste and healthy sushi, and I also like their $3 green tea.

Honestly the most lovely servers and the sushi is great! They have gluten free options too! You can ask for GF soy sauce and Mayo + the crispy chicken is GF AWESOME!

The best food court / take away sushi in Christchurch? Maybe? Have been going for years. However I hope the prices don’t go any hirer again soon.

You couldn't ask for better Sushi. This is the best place in Christchurch to get a large variety of Sushi and the crispy chicken they offer is wonderful. Very kind, friendly staff.

This sushi is rubbish. It is always rubbery and chewy seaweed. I can't stand the teriyaki chicken the sauce tastes burnt or something. Very unappealing colour too its dark and tar looking. I would never have this again

Always busy and my sushi go to. I sometimes drive from the otherside of town to get the sushi here. The teriyaki chicken here is delicious - the teriyaki sauce is not jam packed with sugar like St Pierres and just pure authentic perfection! The hand rolls are great for those on a budget too! 10/10

Funny that there's four Japanese joints within 100m of each other (St Pierre's - Bento Bowl and Japanz bakery down the other end of the mall, and Samurai Bowl over the road.) I reckon this is the pick of the bunch. Tonight's winner was fresh salmon in brown rice sushi. Generous with the fish and the rice was really moist - top marks. I got a couple of dons and a crispy chicken sushi roll too. The crispy chicken don was well balance. Unfortunately, the teriyaki salmon was over sauced and therefore the meat could have been just about anything.

This ever-busy, impressively efficient outlet in the most humble of locations (South City Mall) serves the best sushi in Christchurch. Yes - the best. They also currently have the best don-style meals I've found too, since Osaka-ya got earthquaked a few years ago.

The range of sushi is excellent - the vege tempura and tuna options are particularly good, but everything here is tasty. Forget St Pierres, Maki Mono, Sushi Express, Sushi-ya or Bento Bowl, this place is just better.

For sushi, their rice is excellent, well flavoured and well cooked. Nori is tasty and not too chewy. Fillings are always done very well, fresh, good flavour, good garnish. Served with good quality soy sauce, proper eye-watering wasabi, and good quality ginger. Consistently - they don't put a foot wrong. Treat yourself to the Vege Tempura sushi - it's amazing - and noone else in town seems to do it!

The hot meals are very good, too - teriyaki chicken, salmon or beef. Crispy chicken. All cooked well, really flavoursome, with fresh authentic salad.
2017 update: Still awesome. Now serving fried chicken snack boxes nom nom. I don't give 5 stars out lightly.

Have not had a crispy chicken or teriyaki chicken sushi that matches the quality and flavour served by Sushi Time! Definitely a must for any lover of sushi in the CBD area.
