Deliciously messy is my best description of Taste of Egypt! I’ve been going here for Years & it’s always fantastic! I decided to get a small & was jam packed with salad & meat as the large is too big for me. Love the flavour & speed of service. The only down is the plastic forks which I decline but you kinda need a fork as it’s a messy but amazing!

So good. Huge portions, spicy and flavoursome. Nice soft pita bread, and plenty of sauce. There's nothing fancy about the premises, but you're not there for the ambiance. Highly recommended

Been years since I last had a ‘Meat Ice-Cream’ (a large Kebab Wrap) from Taste of Egypt - and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Beautiful food - fresh, full of flavour - and really friendly staff as well. Also, a delicious Gluten Free option for my wife. Will definitely be back when in Chch next!!

Ordered a large mixed souvlaki and a large lamb souvlaki. Asked for extra cheese and no hummus. Got exactly what I asked for and more!!!!! Absolutely delicious and HUGE!!! So tasty and an abundance of mayo and everything gorgeous - will order again. The only reason I gave it a four was because I “uber eats” it and it was averagely cold. But I’m guessing if I physically went in there it would be a good temperature!

Really disappointed with my large falafel souvalaki from here. I put a phone order through, and I got there about 10mins later. My souvalaki was cold, and was mostly cabbage (who gets a souvalaki for the cabbage?!) it had way too much sauce in it. When I got to the store, the door was locked and the closed sign was up, but they were very clearly open. I had to ring the store to get the man to open the door. He was rude and not friendly. Wouldn’t recommend, definitely not going here again. There’s a lovely kebab house shop just up the road that’s far much better.

A very nice little place. I loved their souvalaki. I told them I wanted bit hot and it was perfect. The chicken was well cooked and had good flavours. The pita was fresh and tasty. Absolutely loved it

Disgusting food, Meat tasted days old the bread was soggy and the sauces tasted bland the store is extremtly small and run down the workers looked extremly unhappy and un enthusiastic about thier work terrible customer service

Chicken and lamb souvlaki are both excellent. Medium spicy sauce is very firey can't imagine what hot would be like. Go for mild. Skip the baklava and go next door to the bakery if you want dessert.

Best kebabs ive had in christchurch so far, quick and delicious, hasn't made me sick like some kebab places I've experienced before, I trust it. Usually a few people ordering/waiting at same time so you know it's good and popular.

So good! The best souvlaki in Canterbury. No one can beat them. Everything was so fresh and well priced. Not a long wait. Very friendly service. We had two large chicken souvlakies today and these are the best souvlakies we ever had. The chicken was well cooked and very delicious. Well done guys!!

Oh my gosh, we have just found the best kebab/souvlaki place in Christchurch. I had the chicken souvlaki and my partner had mixed meat and salad. The meat was delicious and the sauce was just as good. It was so nice. We will be back :)

By far the best Kebab shop in Christchurch. We drive in from Oxford to grab lunch every weekend. Food is always fresh, great sauces and never stingy on the fillings. Staff are always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Do not pass this place by for a top notch feed!

Was shocked to see this place had a bad comment, this place is the best place to eat in Christchurch. Even though the meat is always over cooked the sauces make up for it lol it's cheap and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Picked up an open lamb souvlaki last night and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The meat was burnt and dry. It was like eating hard bits of rubber. I think it might of been from the previous day. Very disappointing.

Wicked food!! Soooo good! Great friendly staff! Could eat everyday!! Go the triple chicken hot chilli with satay!!!! What else can i say. If ur thinking about Egyptian souvlaki go to this place!! They do halves, wholes, pizza styles or just a meal on rice. Bloomin awesome. I had 3 in 2days lol well done guys keep it up an see you soon!! :) :)

What a fantastic Souvlaki:) Went tonight and had a triple lamb souvlaki!! SOOO GOOOD!!! My friend had an open Souvlaki and I thought I might try that next time. I was introduced to this place by a friend who once lived here in Christchurch but was visiting from Perth! I ♥ the baklava too and they had some lovely ones! Will be back there again really soon they are fast and friendly and we are fans! Fast service too:) Highly recommend
