We came 12 years ago. The cheese platter was great. Was a bit disappointed that it is just another cafe. Seems like some other management have took over this place.
Atmosphere is still really good and foot is above average. Service was pretty average. We ordered a pumpkin soup of the day but it was not just a pumpkin soup, the orange is overwhelming and they should have inform us it is a pumpkin orange soup

The best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had? Quite possibly. Fantastically light and fluffy batter with decent crunch matched with a generous portion of tartare sauce. Perfectly cooked chips and super fresh side salad. Wonderful old homestead converted to dining with helpful, friendly and accommodating staff.

Went with a friend for a high tea to celebrate her birthday & we had a lovely waitress called Joy.
It's quite hard to find the entrance to the restuarant so recommend allowing plenty of time.

Had a lovely high tea here this morning. Beautiful surrounds. Very busy after 11am. The high tea was both savoury and sweet, one of the best I've had. Filling as well because of the sandwich, slider, mini pie and potato ball, not just sweet stuff. Highly recommend the high tea for something a but fancy for a treat.

I can't compliment them higher. They were so helpful with our booking. Treated us with pure kindness. The coffee was brilliant so much so I had two. The food delicious. Will definitely be back. The setting was magical.

We had a GrabOne voucher which offered 2 mains and 2 glasses of house wine at a much reduced rate than normal. We both chose pork belly and a side of potatoes (extra for that).
It was perfect. Looked good on the plate, tasted even greater and we left very satisfied with the entire experience.
However, there was just the one let-down and that was with waiting staff. Of the 2 young ladies on deck, one was very efficient but the other struggled a bit to keep up the standard, mixing tables and asking coffee orders at the beginning of the meal. That aside, we'd love to return, preferably when the roses are blooming and again, while the sun was shining.

Enjoyed a fabulous High Tea and a walk around the beautiful gardens. Food was unique and delicious and the gorgeous Tea Rooms are in a wonderful historical setting. Perfect for a special occasion or elegant afternoon with the family. Staff were friendly and the online booking service was easy to use. Would definitely go again.

Excellent roast chicken meal.dessert of sticky date pudding not so good. Major concern was how cold it was. No heating in the middle room and found out after they had the door wide open where you go to pay. Did mention it to the staff.

Beautiful place and environment, really tranquil! Food, service and drinks are on point and large groups are well catered for here. There is a place for dogs to be kept which has a water bowl for them. Really neat place!

WOW, the food here is fantastic.
We had the belly pork and the beef ribs, so good. All we could hear around the restaurant were comments complementing the food. Definitely coming back very soon 😀

Took mum there today for high tea. Staff were lovely even fitting me in with my late booking. Was overpriced but I figured we deserved a treat for mother's Day and being a fancy place I didn't expect cheap.

Love Mona Vale - party of four for lunch - 3 had good meals -- 1 had chicken sandwich, take it off your menu or make it a lot better,very thick dry bread minced (not roast) chicken with mayonnaise , a bit of lettuce - was certainly not worthy of the venue.

Mona Vale was the perfect venue for our wedding. I was a wee bit concerned with the lack of communication I received from Sharon to begin with, but soon realized this was simply because she was so busy and had every thing under complete control. Our day was absolutely magical thanks to Sharon, Lynne and all their team. We even apparently had a couple of extra dietary requirements on the night that we hadn't been told about. We never heard about these until afterwards when Sharon advised me how the team stole chicken from the tram restaurant to fix it! Lynne was the most calming of people and while I was busy apologizing to her for being late back from photos, she was too busy telling me all was well! We couldn't have picked a better venue - an absolute delight.

Could not have picked a more beautiful venue, we absolutely loved everything about it.
Sharon, the in-house wedding coordinator, did an excellent job! She was very professional, dependable and helpful. She really knows what she is doing. We never had to worry about a thing, she really did help take so much of the stress away during the planning process and walked us through step-by-step.
We received wonderful feedback from family and friends. The food was fantastic, the setting was magical and the punting/games made the whole day a lot of fun! There were so many locations for our photographer - she said the location was a dream to work in.
We are really looking forward to re-visiting Mona Vale Homestead on our first anniversary and reminiscing about our perfect day over perhaps some brunch.

Went for high tea with a party of 12. Put us on 2 different round tables even though there was a long table next to us that was free the whole time we were there. Took a long time to give us our high tea even though we pre-ordered. Staff seemed very disorganized

Been trying to book a big table for about a month with few emails and phone calls.
finally after 2 weeks, I've been contacted and been told they will get back to me with the information I needed.
It's been 8 weeks now, and I finally got a call go ask about my booking for tomorrow.
You guys are a joke.

Very disappointed with information given and thus poor service.
3 days before a lunch, for 15 people to celebrate birthday, we were told that our 1pm booking had a maximum of 2 hours to have lunch and would need to have cleared the table by 3pm as the next group would be seat then.
The booking was made 2 months prior and there had been no communication about a "standard turnover time being 2 hours" before. We cancelled the booking and went somewhere else.
A birthday lunch is about taking time to be with people, talk and enjoying food; it was not a fast food place we were after.
