I have never in my life experienced anything like the New Zealand hospitality these folks served up . <br/><br/>I played races and pokies and was lucky enough to win a payout of around $400 some odd dollars . The establishment gave me 2 50$ bills and the rest in $20’s. I noticed that one of the $50’s was ripped which seemed odd . So I brought it to the desk . The desk then called the police after noticing that the two 50’s they gave me were counterfeit . This seemed to be the case as they had the same serial . As a US traveler on business I’m obviously not trying to counterfeit New Zealand dollars . After being accused of counterfeiting money and having to explain it over and over to the police , I walked away without the $100 as it was taken away for evidence . <br/><br/>The establishment is giving out counterfeit money . Then , calling the police on you . I highly recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs . I am working with local authority find out what recourse I have over the theft . I’m absolutely appalled at the actions of this establishment and what seems like an insiders effort to push counterfeit bills at the expense of the bar patrons .

Awesome wee bar. Great staff and clientele. Enjoyed the casual and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of friendly banter over the Christmas period. A wee gem! I don't know what that tony dicks problem is (derek) as I have never experienced anything like the dumb-ass drivel he has mentioned. Maybe we are treated the same way we treat others. Top marks to management and staff for their excellent service. Many times going beyond and above! So tony wants the bar closed down even though there are many patrons who truly enjoy a relaxing drink with TAB facilities and gaming machines to boot. Nice one. Makes me think maybe the shithole is actually you! Lol!

What a shithole. run down sorry assed bar with crap management. I was verbally abused and physically threatened by one of their regulars (mike, big fat bastard) When i rang police from the bar the manager snatched my drink out of my hand and told ME to leave. I returned the next day to complain and was told I was barred!!! I have an assault complaint pending with police, have lodged a formal complaint with the liquor licensing authority and will be strenuously opposing the renewal of their liquor license. Stay away from this bar for your own safety. duty manager refuses to put me in contact with bar owner to discuss my concerns. This bar needs to be shut down.
