I haven't eaten here so can't comment on the food, but the beer selection is good (it's a Mac's bar so plenty of Mac's on tap, as well as Steinlager, Emerson's 1812 and Guinness), the service is friendly enough and the facilities, layout and decor are great for an airport bar. Very spacious and with plenty of big brown leather sofas.
Great for a quick beer while you wait for someone to arrive from their domestic flight.

Edit: Christian. If a club sanga takes less than 20 mins, you know you are in a bad time. How about you prepare for your flight and leave yourself extra sandwich time you dingus.

Few good Mac's beer and cup of chips. Few sport screen so if waiting for the international it's great as it's close to the gate.

Just been told off for nodding off by the waitress who just bought over my burger I paid for.
I've had a really early start, a long long drive to drop my friends off for thei flight and already had booked a hotel room which she is welcome to check. All I expect of an airport restaurant to is serve food to weary travelers and all I get is grief. Honestly This is totally unacceptable. It's not like I was sitting here for longer than however long it takes to cook a burger!
If I had laid down on a table and started sleeping I would expect to be treated as something else but I'm tired and hungry. What am I supposed to do. Just try and get to my hotel with an empty stomach? Honestly I felt like leaving there and then.

Really good experience eating/drinking/resting here while waiting to check bags in for our flight from Christchurch to Sydney yesterday. Drinks were great and food very nice. Very comfy leather lounges to relax on while we waited. We stayed quite a while and ordered a few drinks. Appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly service.

Normally really good, but either they had a trainee tonight in the kitchen or really someone who didn't give two tosses.
Junior cheeseburger had no cheese, gourmet burger looked almost identical to the junior cheese and cost 12 dollars more (9.50 vs 21.00).
In short bad night in the kitchen but the meals were sub par. Pick it up guys!

The corner with the leather sofas is great! Especially with the draft beers is waiting for your flight not so bad at all.

barman and waitresses unhelpful to a guy asking for Internet help..Lasagne cold and old served.20 mins after.my husbands meal. Grumpy.faces. Tourists.sleeping in armchairs. Dreadful service

Nice bar & decor. One guy on the bar. Saw 2-3 others floating about, not offering to serve me or next customer clearly "waiting" to be served while the current customer was holding up the cue with the said bar man. Not an exciting experience all in all. Not even a busy day

It's an airport bar and eatery of course we want to know how long it takes for the food! Very rude young woman serving couldn't care less. Sorry Christchurch airport you've got to do better than that.
