We stopped here for a late morning snack and got the steak & cheese pie. It was hot and had flaky crust that was filled with tender steak, cheese and gravy. It is a small takeaway shop but the service was quick and friendly.

Love their steak pies & chic with mushrooms pies. I was not a fan of pie till I tried theirs at The Butcher’s Pie Shop, reasonably priced with awesome quality. The pie was made to taste deliciously-presumably the best pie in NZ?

I have had many, many pies in my life time. I have tried pies from all around the country. The pie I got today, was one of the best, if not the best pie I have ever had. Magnificent!! 5 stars

If I could give 10stars I would. So hard to find a really good pie these days. Had the 6hr slow cooked braised beef and it is probably the best pie I've had in 15yrs. Loved the pastry also. After living in Australia most of my life, I've tried plenty of pies and this place tops them all. Great price also for such a great pie

As an Aussie that has an EXTENSIVE experience consuming pies, their $3 Butcher's pie is hands down the most delicious pie I've ever had.
The butcher's pie is just the leftover of yesterday's pies, so they go fast!
Can't even imagine how good the fresh pies are ($6-7 btw), definitely coming back

Went here for the first time recently, and it was fantastic! I have gone so many times since and every one I know loves the pies from here. Definitely the best chicken and mushroom pie in Christchurch!!

We tried Peppered steak and the Seafood (as there wasn't a vegetarian option today). Both very nice, chock full of good ingredients. Lovely buttery flakey pastry! Just what I felt like! Great service too.

Love their pies, fabulous, amazing and thanks... Only negative was I went on line to their shop to buy pies and the transaction would not go through, quite disappointing. Please sort so I can buy on line :-)

This was hands down the best pie I've ever had, pork belly and apple. My partner took this photo of me and said "i wish you looked at me like you look at that pie" it really was that good I'm writing this review 4 hours later and I can't stop thinking about how well the texture of the pastry contrasted with the filling, bloody unreal.
