My go to for Indian food. Lunch is good value for money. I always order the lamb vindaloo. They also offer goat curry. If you have not tried Indian goat curry, you have not lived. Lamb Briyani rice and kashmiri Nan is amazing to say the least. Well done to the team here. Thoroughly satisfied with my experience.

Popped out for lunch with a couple of colleagues. Wow! What a gem of a find. Only two free tables at lunch-time (seats around 30), one of which was quickly set for us. Good to see gewürztraminer (Spy Valley) as a wine option - great with spices. Would have preferred it not to have been in the fridge but it warmed up. Fabulous flavours and generous portions, same with the naan - included in the meal price. $90 for 3, including the wine. Outstanding value.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and it was an extraordinary experience. The flavors of India came alive in every dish we tried. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the naan bread was perfectly fluffy, and the service was top-notch. If you're in Christchurch and craving authentic Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Nice beautiful dining place close to the Hub Hornby. We ordered chicken lollipops which could be better but paneer butter masala, Bombay chicken and 4 Roti’s were amazing. The lady who served us was amazing and very kind.

I have been here a lot of times, every time the food has been fantastic, good amount of chicken in the meals, (which I've not found elsewhere). Great flavors and nice Naan bread ( not oily like some other places) The most enjoyable take away meal I purchase regularly. Car park is small and difficult to maneuver around but worth it for the food.

One of our favourite Indian restaurants in the city. I have been ordering from this place for the last 8 years (when it used to be called Cinnamon Spice). We still regularly order from here through Ubereats and the quality is always top-notch. We went in recently as a family and it was a very good experience. The restaurant itself isn’t a fancy high-end place compared to some of the other Indian restaurants in the city but it is the quality of the food, cost and staff that makes this place a hit! Some notable items on their menu: any of their naan bread varieties are very good and they make it fresh in the tandoor. The chicken tikka (starter) is amazing and always something we get with our meals. Try the vegetarian curries because it’s crazy how much flavour can be in a dish without any meat - the Aloo gobi was delicious!

We ordered chicken tikka and butter chicken lunch combo, which have curry with rice and naan for$15. Very reasonable price and chicken was very tender and juicy. We were starving so forgot about taking some photos but we do like the smiley face on the take away containers. Thank you. From 2 happy tummies 😋

Went here for a lunch with my work colleague . The premises are clean and well set out. Fantastic variety on the menu with my favourite kadhi chicken on there . My work mate went for a prawn jalfrezi. Staff were polite and professional. Our meals were prepared fresh and didn’t take long before they appeared on our table with a complimentary nann bread. Well presented dishes, so much so I couldn’t wait to get stuck in to it. The food was flavoursome and the meat cooked to perfection ,absolutely amazing food. I have to say this is the best Indian curry I have had in many years and certainly a place I will visit again and again. I highly recommend and have recommended this little curry house as I really can’t find fault here. Well done Saffron spice, and thank you for a memorable meal.

An amazing night at an out standing Southern Indian restuarant. We were a group of 15 high demanding group,wanting good service ,outstanding food and great hospitality. We were not disappointed in these areas. Many thank to Saffron Indian Spice for providing great food,outstanding service and hospitality. We will definitely be back
