Me and my husband went there this morning. It is one of the best vegan cafe we ever visited. The staff was amazing. The lady who severed us was Ana (forgot her full name). Food was so good. This will definitely be our go to place from now on. Loveedddd it there. Everything was perfect.

Love the atmosphere here, bright pink walls, with houseplants for sale. A lovely place to stop for coffee or have lunch. The coffee here is always consistent, and the cabinet food I've had has always been yummy. Staff are welcoming and friendly.
Stopped here on a very hot busy weekend afternoon for lunch and a few drinks.
Staff were busy but keeping on top of things, food service was definitely not slow.
Burgers beers and fries were the order of the day and everything was very good, compliments to the kitchen.

Bonobo has become a key part of my life since moving to this part of CHCH 4 years ago. The food, coffee, and drinks are all as exceptional as you'd imagine (the burger being the best in town - no question), but to me it's the atmosphere and the staff; it feels like home.
It's a great place to come and work, read, or relax. Dog friendly, family friendly, always soaking in good vibes. I met my girlfriend here and we had our first date here. There are beautiful, well-kept house plants you can buy too, as well as books and coffee accessories. The music is always top-class. I've never had to wait for my food or drinks even when it's busy.
On a Friday night until 8pm, they have a DJ and cocktails - which is just one of the best ways to round up a busy week. I also recommend following their Instagram where they post very powerful mindfulness content.
I have become very close with the staff/owners who are always up for a good chat and ask me about the books I read. It just feels local, lovely, and somewhere I hold very close.

I adore the lively indoor plants adorning the walls in this space. The interior design has been meticulously planned to create a soothing and inviting atmosphere. The coffee boasts a rich aroma and is accompanied by consistently friendly staff. A definite must-visit spot when exploring Sumnar Beach and in the mood for a great cup of coffee.
Thought we’d pop in for lunch, immediately greeted by friendly staff, had the specials explained given menus and shown where to get our table water. Pretty good start. Nice out door area for sitting, we found a round pink table and waited for our food.
We ordered the Boss Bonobo burger and fries and my partner went with the special, a buddha bowl kind of thing with rice and various greens, seeds and tofuy treats. It was all awesome! Great flavours, big bold portions of things in the burger, really nice vege patty. It also had that vegan cheese sauce, maybe the Angel foods brand, it’s almost better than real cheese. I will say l this though, the portion of fries was a little small, but I guess we could all do with less of that sort of thing.
Really good experience and we’ll be back for more.

The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The food is incredible! Amazing flavours and I always feel full and satisfied. Delicious treats and healthy options! 100% recommend!!

Tastiest vegan food in Christchurch, freshly cooked food and cabinet food is all scrumptious, we have eaten here and had takeaways many times over the past few years and have always had amazing yummy meals, lovely staff, hardworking owners, great customer service and we love that the whole idea of this place is to fund an animal sanctuary one day. Even our Omni guests loved the food too!
