Ordered takeaway from here for lunch. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, steak fried noodles and veg fried rice! The fried rice was really good not the best I’ve ever had but definitely up there. The sweet and sour pork was also really delicious and better than most Chinese takeaways. The only let down we had was the fried noodles. they were quite soggy and almost watery by the time we got home and started eating it, they also lacked any flavour! Other than that I really enjoyed this takeaway and this place is a great backup if my regular Chinese takeaway is closed! The lunch specials here are also a great option.

Probable the best Singapore Fried Noodles I have had since come home from overseas. Will be back for more. Massive portions - especially the shrimp FIVE STARS.

This fish and chop shop has been my mostly monthly family treat for years, there's a lovely well spoken kind teenage girl that takes the orders at counter and she's always happy and interactive.
, only downside I have is the mum and dad out the back are often looking grumpy or talking in another language and don't interact with customers much.
Other then that tiny flaw, I live you guys and I'll continue to buy my favourite family bulk meal deals for years tocome.

Love this fish and chip shop, lots of chips for your money, unlike some places who give next to no chips in a scoop. Good for large families

It didn't take long for my order,very polite and gentle worker whose well mannered .I only ordered 1/2ascoop of chips and one fish? As I was abit out of cash lol,anyway,when I got my order I was taken aback ,cause that can't be my order!, it was quite big for one fish and 1/2 scoop of chips,I took my order feeling abit surprised, got back to my car and opened it to my surprise, there was one huge fish and the chips ? You could feed me 4times over hahaha!...thankyou Wing Wah Takeaways 😋

BEST STANDARD CHINESE TAKEAWAY IN CHRISTCHIURCH
I now feel duty-bound to tell everyone else about this excellent old fashioned 'Chinese Takeaway' place in Hoon Hay/Hillmorton.
You pay only for the food & not only is it good, it's old styled feed-your-flat on-one- dish @ $13.50 average + rice.
I'm a foodie & reasonably well versed in Vietnamese & Asian/NZ fusion cooking but when it comes to yearning for a generous plate of Black Bean steak on veges or (my fav) their BBQ pork fried rice etc you cannot beat this place in Christchurch.
I've witnessed the quality decline of the Riccarton Rd noodle cartel and that trend ain't gunna get much better.
So....hit Wing Wah before it's too late.
Wing Wah - raise your prices before the client tsunami hits.
You deserve it.
If it doesn't, all the better for me & my mates.
