Amazing food, wine and outlook. You feel like you are going into the middle of nowhere and pop out at the top of a hill overlooking the river, and vineyards. The views are exquisite!!!
Now closed for the season. Hayden couldn't have made us more welcome showing up unexpectedly. Awesome building in stunning location, top quality winery .
After looking at 4 venues in the Wanaka / Cromwell region my partner and I settled on The Canyon at Tarras.
After speaking with the owner Hayden, and viewing the venue we were sold.
One of the main reasons we liked the venue (besides the view) was that it includes most / if not all of the furniture you require, it has great indoor and outdoor options as well, it was also very well priced.
Throughout the planning process Hayden was fantastic to deal with.
Feedback from guests was very positive.
I look forward to heading back up for lunch or dinner sometime in the future.

We made a snap decision to get married in NZ after postponing our Rarotongan wedding twice. As much as I am sad we didn't get our Rarotongan wedding, I am so pleased we got married at The Canyon.
Hayden was absolutely fantastic to deal with from the initial phone call. So accommodating with all of our requests and always had quick responses to our queries. Every conversation ended with him saying "if you have any questions or need anything, please just call me" - as a stressed bride planning a wedding in two months, this was huge.
The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. We had so many comments from guests all night and still to this day about just how beautiful it really is. The view, the secluded setting, the dining hall, even the styling of the interior is fantastic.
The wine was raved about, and alot was consumed. It was so special being able to serve our guests wine from grown in the vineyards they drove past on the way up. We had access to the vineyards for our photos, and although they were covered we still managed to get some beautiful shots.
Thank you so much Hayden for accommodating us at such short notice, and for all your help along the way. It is a day and a venue we will never forget.
The most stunning incredible venue which made our family wedding so special.. Outstanding . Views and staff so accommodating and professional . Provided us with the best wines . Would sooo recommend .
