We had heard good things about this place so made the journey to check it out. We were completely blown away... The staff were brilliant, even other customers were friendly (You know you've aced hospitality when this happens!)
The food was amazing, easily comparable to the quality you'd expect at high end establishments in Auckland or Wellington. The portion sizes were larger than expected which was a bonus, it's always easier to share the tasty morsels when there's enough to go round! However, the struggle was real when trying to make room for dessert.
We're really looking forward to coming back and trying out the new menu!
And I didn't even get a chance to talk about the cocktail list... Well, you'll just have to go in and check it out for yourselves

What a fantastic find! I cannot say enough about this gem in Dannevirk! Popped by there for a family dinner and everything was brilliant, we had the pizza starter that was massive and delicious, totally unexpected from what you get at other restaurants. I had the beef main which was presented beautifully and tasted just as good, cooked to perfection with a sauce to compliment. The family had a mixture of pasta and kids meals, the pasta was delicious, rich and filling and even the kids meals were presented with pride.
Easily rates with the top eateries in Palmy without murdering your pocket. We will be back.
This was, hands down, the best meal out we have had in a long time. The pork belly was superb, our son made his way through the burger and stated it was the best he’d ever eaten and the portion sizes were perfect. Cocktails on-point and service impeccable. Wish there was a place like this in our home town!
Absolutely brilliant place , let's keep it a Dannevirke secret. The lamb and beef melt in your mouth , stunning flavours , stunning cocktails and brilliant staff. Really can't recommend this restaurant enough. Thanks Nicole and staff for looking after us on our anniversary.
Wow! Who would've "thunk" there would be a restaurant of this calibre in Dannevirke! A very talented and passionate family run business. The BEST food, lovely environment, staff and music. A real hidden gem! Husband and I were passing through Dannevirke looking for somewhere to have dinner, we called 10 minutes out, got a table and had the most outstanding meal! The staff were very attentive and warm. We'll definitely be back.
