This is the best place to go for thai!!! Flavours are amazing, portions are huge! The pad thai is definitely the best around. I would say that the spice level is more than what you're expecting though. I'm someone who loves their spicy food so the first time I ordered hot - probably not the best idea. I ordered medium from then on, was still very spicy for what I was expecting but since I love spice I found it nice.
Haven't had a Pad Thai for a while, decided to try a Pad Thai Beef (medium hot) here and it tasted sooo good, perfect balance of the sweet and spicy, highly recommended. Ordered at the spot, waited for around 10 mins and it was ready, super fast and friendly service.
Yum! Best Thai takeaways I’ve had in awhile! Love that the dishes are packed with flavour and fresh veggies. Nice to see that the chicken is free range. The Green Curry alone is worth going back for.
Absolutely outstanding. We regularly order the Pad Thai and just love it. Portion size is generous and the team and very friendly. Highly recommend The Taste to any local.
I absolutely loved the red duck curry. The meat was nice and tender. The curry was flavoursome, creamy and just the right amount of spicy. The pineapple pieces turned an already superb meal into a party in my mouth. Best red duck curry, ever! The staff was very friendly, too. The restaurant itself seems to cater more to takeaway, as there are only a few tables inside, but it does have a nice, fresh atmosphere if you want to eat there.
Very tasty and fresh food. The whole family loved it. Nice to know business more eco-friendly with a paper bag and free range chicken. I would love to know non-plastic takeaway container would be used too.
The best thai takeaway we've ever had. Everything is so full of flavour, the portions are very generous, the staff are friendly (particularly the young lady named Catie who was lovely and helpful). My personal favourite dish was the Pad Khing Duck. The Duck was incredible, so thick and juicy. And everything was very reasonably priced. We look forward to eating from here again, hopefully soon!
My absolute favourite Thai food in Auckland, always ready on time. Fresh, authentic and delicious! I will travel to get Thai from The Taste. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating!
Their Pad Thai tastes amazing! Friendly staff, great presentation, overall high quality. A little cramped if you go with more than two people.
We were recently invited to check out a Thai restaurant in Devonport and as big lovers of Thai cuisine, we immediately accepted. We were greeted warmly by The Taste’s director, Michael Khuwattanasenee. Primarily a takeaway, there are a couple of small tables inside if you’d like to dine in. We were lucky enough to nab one of the tables and we loved being able to see into the open kitchen where the chef’s were hard at work.
They serve real authentic Thai food here! Very friendly hosts, above par customer service! Price is reasonable and the place has great dining atmosphere! Highly recommended to all.
The best Thai food I've had in a very long time. Full of flavour. Great balance of sweet, sour & salty. The best massaman lamb curry I've tasted in a long time. The ingredients taste fresh. The duck melted in your mouth. Curry puffs were perfection. This is definitely my new go to.
I've been wanting to try The Taste for 2 years now and finally had the opportunity last night. Haven't been able to come across any other Thai takeaway remotely near where I live (Hibiscus Coast) that uses free range chicken. They will make your food to the spiciness level you want and if you ask for spicy, they will actually give you spicy-a lot of other places I have to ask for spicier than I want because they don't believe me when I say I want it spicy! Last night I was in the area with a friend so we had takeaway but next time we will probably make the trip and stay to eat in.
Great food, a few of us started going during the L3 lockdown and it became a regular, since it was only a stones throw from Narrowneck Beach.

This is some of the best quality Thai takeaway you will get. A little pricier than most and wait times can blow out during peak periods, due to demand. But it is definately a step above your usual Thai takeaway.
The flavor! Best padtai I have had in a long time. When I asked for medium spice they delivered a great amount that is truly medium and not mild. The portion size was pretty generous and even though I should have save some I just could not stop, very nice.
The food was also very quick to be made and I was out within the 15min they told me. I would highly recommend everyone try them.
Have had many takeaways from this restaurant. Food is always of the highest quality, free range meats and lots of vegetables. Have introduced to several friends who all say this is the best Thai in the area
