An excellent place for a meal, and a great place to meet friends. Friendly front of house staff, and what can only be described as an intimate space (20 diners or so max) make for a great night out.

We went to Brew Cafe and Bar as it was just down the road from where we were staying. We were a bit disappointed as they did not have all the things on the menu, however we were not disappointed with the limited selection for a Tuesday night. My partner had the venison and I had the sole fillet - they were both superb. The service was prompt and friendly, we would highly recommend this tiny little bar and restaurant.
Brew Bar is the closet pub like playing e from our house we we could walk there. It's a small narrow place, kinda funky, chill vibes and some great old school tunes playing.
We ordered our food and beers, Emersons on tap which is a bonus. Drinks came out first then the food not too long after. I ordered the beef schnitzel and my partner ordered sole fillet. My schnitzel came out deliciously crunchy with the most amazing mushroom gravy had nice chunks of mushrooms and full of flavour. The chips had a nice seasoning on them and we're cooked to perfection. The brew slaw was delicious and light. Highly recommend going here, the guy who served us was really nice too.
Great. Cater to everyones individual needs, old to young. Great food coffee tea you name it. great for meals or even just a drink, they also do good cakes, brownies and apple shortcake. They do a good job. Friendly service aswell.

I have eaten meals at Brew on several occasions and have always received fantastic service and beautifully cooked and presented food.
At the weekend my family had a birthday party there with 26 guests and the food was superb, no waiting while others ate meals and friendly wait staff. Couldn't fault anything. This was with one chef, a kitchen hand and 2 wait staff. Well done to all concerned. Would definitely rec commend Brew to others. Looking forward to my next meal there.
I get my daily coffee from Brew and have formed really neighbourly relationships with all the staff.
The coffee is excellent, the service is efficient and friendly.
Our office had our Christmas lunch at Brew and everyone was delighted with the service and food. it was well presented and of high standard. Its pretty hard to please 11 women..but with the variety of food on the menu we all left very happy
I am really pleased that Musellburgh has such a high quality cafe.
I have been here twice this week. I had portabello mushrooms the first time with a mate who had fish of the day (salmon). They were cooked immaculately! Mushrooms is such a well balanced dish.
Second time was with my girlfriend (#stoked) and we got s+p squid and a platter. It was so delicious. Mini salad on the plate accompanying squid. The sauce which comes with has a nice amount of spice. Platter is the best I have ever had anywhere.
A++ will trade again! 11/10
This was our first time at Brew. What a lovely meal. It was our wedding anniversary, but we just wanted a nice quiet meal free from the kids for a change. The meal came out very hot which was great. First of all we had breads and dips. All I can say about this is delicious. We both had the steak. This was cooked to our liking and I couldn't fault it at all. The service was excellent and we look forward in returning.

Went for Sunday brunch with my wife the morning after our wedding. We both had Eggs Benedict which were amazing -- especially the one with mushrooms.
All cooked perfectly and promptly. Good balance, well seasoned, good ingredients, great bread. Much more special than the stock standard which many places serve up.
Exceptional and friendly service.
Certainly will be back many more times.
Omgosh. AMAZING! Greeted by such a lovely, friendly, helpful waitress.. food for 5 of us came out super fast. All of our meals were soooo good, every part was perfectly cooked. The gnocchi was outstanding.. highly recommend! We all loved the atmosphere here.. well done to you all 😊
Lovely coffee.however was a bit shocked hearing that they do not make fluffy's, anymore . A little boy had to sit with his mum & grandmother. Really thankful i had not taken my 3 gorgeous grandchildren. I would have walked out.
Consistently good food. Experienced many great dinners here. Excellent coffees also. On cooler nights, wear warm clothing, they're not generous with the heating !
