This is a lovely restaurant, and the staff were really helpful when i told them I was looking for something vegan. I had a delicious curry with basmati and a roti. This was $16 which was great value. Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful dining experience at Little India Dunedin. The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the evening even more enjoyable. The menu had a great variety of Indian dishes, and everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delightful Indian cuisine experience.
We ordered non vegetarian tandoori platter. It turned out to be almost cold and there was non edible meat on the platter. Mains was good and service was good otherwise.
Came here with my girlfriend for our Anniversary a few days ago. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the staff were extremely friendly and nice to chat to. The restaurant itself has a fantastic atmosphere. Thanks very much, will certainly be back for the restaurants 32nd year in Dunedin on July 4th 😁😁😁
Loved the food and service, right up until I had to pay. Putting a tip option on the eftpos machine where I have to press no tip in front of the teller is just wrong. This is New Zealand, I paid $250 for 8 people to eat, I assume the staffs wages come out of that.
Our group had a great time at Little India. We ordered mostly Vegetarian/Vegan meals. The curries were top standard, naan was delicious and the service was so helpful and friendly. Would love to return when back in Dunedin.

With such a great back story - recipes passed through a family for generations - it's hard not to love Little India. The food isn't the cheapest, but really is amazing, especially those dishes denoted as "favourites" such as Kadai Chicken. It's fun to share curries, enjoy great naan breads, and indulge in Mango Lassi. Little India is a genuine Dunedin icon, totally rate it.
Don’t get me wrong, their curries are great. BUT the real showstopper are the different tikka chickens in the appetiser section. The meat is incredibly soft and falls apart, plus it is covered in amazing sauce and is completed with a light charr. My absolute go-to order when in Dunedin. Please try the malai tikka and chooza tikka.
