Another one of the top grade food in South Dunedin. This is a restaurant cum bar which serves traditional pub foods. We all like the food we had here during boxing day. They were nicely done and delicious, especially the porky ones. I'm a bit disappointed that the blue cod was not so fresh. But the prawns were springy and fresh. Service and serving of food was fast, and the place had a quiet ambience, which is good for catching up with family and friends.
Went there for an 80th birthday and had a blast , service was great , food was amazing so yummy , everyone had a great time thank you to all the team 😊, had the lambs fry and bacon
The best restaurant I've ever been too. I highly recommend it, the food is great and the staff are so lovely. Will be definitely be going back!

This is a cozy bar and restaurant in South Dunedin. One thing that makes me interested is they have specials deals and promotions during the week. So you can choose which suit you. The staffs are friendly and provides excellent services. Price is good, taste yum, cozy dining room, clean and they play the music fairly. Will back next time to experiencing other dish.
Love the guy who managed to find a seat for us 10 ppl, even we walked in. He’s Very friendly and helpful in taking order and serve the food. Tonight we had a wonderful dinner here. Tuatara tap beer is highly recommended!
Great place for a meal, nice casual atmosphere, awesome food, staff were perfect and prompt and made us feel like they were glad we came for dinner.
Ok, first of all it's a pub. That's right, pool tables, t.a.b, pokery's and condom machines in the tiolets. One would not expect anything better than pub food, and there for the rope and twine should not be judged on any other level than mear pub food. Having said this, the stake at the rope and twin would stand up against most of the fine dining experiences I've had, as far as the food goes. It's hard to fult. I particularly enjoyed the peppercorn source, which I suspect had been prepared with green peppercorns rather than the traditional black, giving it that satisfying peppery pop as one chews. The staff were attentive and most helpful but would have to say the food was the winner. A most enjoyable dining experience.
I Had roast meal very nice but not what I was expecting I use to mashed or baked potatoes, sweet potato Pumpkin and mushy peas
