Review Tearaffe - Epsom

Yummy fatacrons. Loved the raspberry one then another favourite was the blueberry with passion fruit. They are about $5 each but nice treat that is soft, creamy, light and rich with bursts of flavours hidden inside. You can keep them in the fridge for couple days and it still tastes good.

Friendly staff here! Fatcarons r perfect social media shot definitely! totally colorful and cute! stuffing of the fatcaron is quite creamy and too greasy to me, though!

Fatcarons FTW! Honestly one of my favourite desserts in Auckland! A friend surprised me with these and I was instantly addicted! I had them very very cold, almost frozen and they were absolutely divine. Iโ€™m sad to say I ate all 6 in 2 days! No regrets. Totally worth the calories.
Vickyrooo
Incredibly cute and instagrammable! The unique flavours are spot on with our favourites being cheesecake and brownie. A tad on the expensive side but a nice sometimes treat!

Amazing friendly staff and colourful, vibrant & delicious fatcaron , decent pricing for quality of food and trust me one piece wonโ€™t be enough, you will definitely end up buying more .

Absolutely delicious, lovely customer service, is costly however it is totally worth the experience. I tried out a few flavors and have no favorites just yet. Highly recommended and worth a visit.

I love this place. Look its not a place you go every day unless you have a personal ๐Ÿ‘Ÿtrainer ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜but I wish I could they make the most amazing & I mean amazing macaroons (out the bloody gate) Bought friends here while up from the Hawke's Bay and they were blown away by the flavour and quality of these beautiful little gems of goodness. If you haven't tired these where have you been hiding. Get down as soon as you can, they sell out pretty much every day.. Major debate today over which flavour was the best

What we ordered: - Half dozen $27 - Blueberry yogurt - Creme Brulee - Biscoff - Tiramisu - Melona - Cookies and Cream Aside from the interior being very cute, the fatcarons were very good (but a tad expensive). I don't know why but I expected the cream to be really soft but it's actually quite dense. It's very nice though, it's not too rich and the denseness is quite good for the structural integrity of the macaron. What I really loved though was that the macarons were quite chewy, it had a sort of caramelised-sugar texture which I adored, but it wasn't too sweet. My favourite flavour was the creme brulee, the torched sugar on top was just so delicious. I also really loved the others. The melona tasted shockingly accurate and so did the blueberry yogurt. I didn't love the cocoa powder on the tiramisu, raw cocoa powder is just a bit bitter for my taste, but the macaron was still delicious, so overall it was a great experience!

Amazing-looking fatcarons with a wide range of interesting flavours. They were nowhere near as sweet as Iโ€™d thought, in fact Iโ€™d like the filling to be a tiny bit more sweet as it didnโ€™t seem like the filling was sweetened at all. Still really enjoyed the tiramisu and matcha choc.
maia
Absolutely delicious !! Once you start eating them itโ€™s rly hard to stop ๐Ÿ˜… the filling is a bit plain though it seems like itโ€™s just cream, but overall still super tasty 9/10

The best gourmet Macaroons I ever tried. So far my favourite is Mango Cheesecake.

I ordered from Doordash and it delivered quite fast, never let me down. I wish I could have more treats next time.

Got some of their macarons on Valentine's day. It was very very good, not too sweet in an Asian way. The flavouring on the cream was tasty. Personally I like the melona and earl grey the best. I think the matcha and chocolate combo was good but doesnt match, as the chocolate overpowers the matcha. So what I did was i cut them in half and split up the flavour and it was like eating 2 different flavour separately. Highly recommend this place.

Daldangโ€™s macaron is always my favourite ๐Ÿ’ฏ. The new outlet is near Gongcha and Hikoco with bigger and nice environment. The staff is so friendly and food was amazing :) I especially like the cheesecake flavour ๐Ÿฐ.
Kylie Huang
I donโ€™t tend to enjoy the cream part of macarons a lot but I occasionally like to try Daldang since they have a lot of interesting flavours. I like that they come out with new products occasionally, I actually prefer the dacquoise over the macarons. Theyโ€™re definitely worth a try especially if you want to try something different. I recommend the injeolmi, earl grey and biscoff flavours!

I used to go CBD one so I was so excited when I heard Daldang will open new store in Newmarket. The best macarons (fatcaron) in New Zealand! Always impressed with their service โค๏ธ This store will be the new ๐Ÿ’Ž in Newmarket!

The jasmine fruit tea is consistent and great every single time. Itโ€™s delicious and refreshing to drink, the fruit inside is also fun to eat afterwards. Would recommend.

Cute and quiet little bubble tea place.

Ordered the White Peach Oolong with Cheese Foam. The oolong was slightly bland in taste, but the cheese foam topping was thick and creamy.

Service was moderate, they didnโ€™t tell us when the drink was ready and the drinks were just left on the bench.

The chairs were quite hard and a little uncomfortable.

Slightly cheaper in price compared to the other stores.

Taste: 7/10
Presentation: 8/10
Service: 6/10
Ambience: 7/10
Value for money: 7/10

Price $7 per person

Pearl was hard and the drink is full with overdue milk powder smell. Not recommended. However the drink carry bag is kind of cool. Not authentic pearl milk tea.

I was quite interested in trying this place out once I saw it. The name was a bit different and it looked interesting, Inside had quite a bit of seating. I tried the brown sugar milk. I had thought it was milk tea but only noticed it was milk after taking a sip. The pearls had a nice consistency but the brown sugar wasn't warm and there wasn't a lot of the pearls at the bottom. A friend had the matcha one and she thought it was ok. My least favourite shop in that line of bubble tea places.

This is where I first tried cheese foam tea! And it was amazing , I had then tried cheese foam tea else where in a few other tea places .... none of them are even close to how good this place is, the cheese foam is perfect texture and sweetness and Their tea base are refreshing.

Whenever I craved for cheese foam tea , the is the place I am going to!

On the continuation of trying out all the boba places in NM, Iโ€™ve finally made a visit to Tearaffe. They famously were known a while ago for their cheese teas, but I never got onto that craze being lactose intolerant and what not. But also, cheese? on tea? no thank you.

I ordered a safe drink - oolong MILK ๐Ÿ˜ฑ tea with pearls, no sugar, no ice please. Wait time was a tad long (20mins +) on a Sunday night. But all is NOT forgiven. It wasnโ€™t good at all. I could barely taste the tea so it was pretty much just milk ew vom. Man do I never learn.

Inside was warm and cute and it smelt really nice too. But thatโ€™s it.

I roommate ordered one for me and she got the chocolate cheeses tea last time, but she didn't drink and put on the freezer but after a few days the cheeses are still on top and the drink is looking totally the same like we bought, so weird that's not normal. Obviously too many food additives.
I have ordered the white peach oulong with milk form on the top. The milk form is rich. I choice 30% sugar level, itโ€™s still a little bit too sweet for this level.

I tried the brown sugar pearl milk tea to see what the craze is about, but I was quite disappointed. Tiny cup of milk tea for 8$ which is not even good or sweet. There are heaps of milk tea places in new market now so this is not how you compete. Not gonna come back here, Iโ€™d rather go to my trusty Gong cha for a cheap nice refreshing drink.
Lana Hunter
Ordered the baked oolong milk tea with pearls- standard sugar wasnโ€™t sweet enough for me.
Also the pearls werenโ€™t particularly sweet either - light coloured which was a novelty but a bit blandly chewy.
A large was $8 - so not the best value.
I think I would have been better off with a small brown sugar pearl fresh milk for the same price.
Tanya Chalermtip
Tearaffe has a good quality milk tea! The drink itself is milky and tasty, it's not too sweet. The tapioca is soft and chewy. Overall it is worth a try, however, I think it is a little too pricy compared to other places with similar quality.

Must be my favorite drink place in Auckland. Cheese tea was me& all my friendsโ€™ favorite. We always come to new market for tea raffle even we stay in north shore. Highly recommend!
Ati
I honestly just wanted to see what the whole cheese tea craze was about and all I can say is itโ€™s not for me. Despite not liking it myself I think that cheese tea is definitely an experience and I wouldnโ€™t discourage anyone else from trying it. Tearaffe offers up a cute photogenic atmosphere, friendly staff and the cutest darn cups out there.

Hopefully my rating will change with my next visit when I try something more to my liking.

Got a Lychee Oolong Cheese tea. Very refreshing. The first taster of cheese foam was absolutely awesome and addictive!! I got 30% sugar, so it is not too sweet at all. Good tea!

My order number was #50 Pearl Milk Tea with 100% sugar and no ice. When I went up to collect my drink they had mixed up my drink with another customer who had already left with the drink I had ordered. I said number 50? The guy behind the counter replied 49? I said no I'm number 50. So he talks with another guy who works there in Mandarin saying that he mixed up my drink with another customer who had just left. He tells him to say it's correct. The guy comes back and says yup it's your drink. I take it and see order #49 Pearl Milk Tea 70% sugar and 100% ice. SO I go back again I tell them it's not mine with my order receipt which clearly says order #50. Now the only thing that made me really angry was that they simply took the drink back, took out the ice, and filled it with more milk tea. I can clearly see everything they do behind the counter and was given back the "new" drink. THE MILK TEA WAS SO DILLUTED AND TASTED LIKE WATER. Obviously not 100% sugar. Rubbish customer service. It was your mistake and you didn't even bother to make a new one. Paid $8 for cold water.

Was craving for black sugar earl milk so decided to try this place out. Really disappointed as the quality of the pearl is really bad. The pearl was really hard to chew, felt like they just used the left over pearl/ reheated pearl, $8 for that was really disappointing. Waste of money.

Firstly I really love the atmosphere here! Itโ€™s pretty nice and most times Iโ€™ve been here, it hasnโ€™t been too busy. It seems like a good place to chill with friends and Iโ€™ve seen some people studying too.

Iโ€™ve been here a few times and itโ€™s been really nice except once. My old favourite used to be the brรปlรฉe milk tea which is honestly amazinggg. Probably my favourite drink Iโ€™ve ever gotten from a milk tea place. But the one time, I guess the person messed it up because it tasted different and kinda weird... I tried it again afterwards and it was back to being good lol. I would still recommend it!

Anyway, last time I went I tried the brown sugar pearl milk tea, which Iโ€™ve tried at a lot of places now (it seems to be a promo drink at many places). It was pretty good but I still reckon Oriental Tea which is nearby does my favourite version.

Their cup is definitely the cutest out of all the tea shops Iโ€™ve tried! Wish it could close properly so I could reuse ~

Came here at night after workout to order a cheese foam hot tea and a fresh fruit tea. The cheese foam here is better than the cheese foam I have ordered in other stores. The store is well decorated and a good place to sit and drink.

Would consider a very underrated place, especially as it is positioned right next to gong cha. Although slightly unusual, their popular cheese teas are super delicious! I always order the Rose oolong tea with cheese on top - would highly recommend!! Atmosphere is great and the setting is modern and chill. A bit pricey but you get your moneyโ€™s worth!

$8.5 for half a cup of drink? Seriously? When this place first opened, it had quite decent sized drinks... but what is this?? Probably wonโ€™t ever come back.

Came for curiosity reason to try this new type of pearl tea that is different to their rivals where it is topped with this cheesy froth and do have a unsure opinion on whether it's nice/bad? The flavor I had was jasmine so reading yer reviews must be quite nice then.
I'm not big cheese fan so what do others rekon eh.
The Poor Foodie
Cozy environment but to be honest everything was quite pricey. I ordered full cup of orange (fruit tea) and literally tasted like orange juice mixing with tea, nothing special.
But itโ€™s a great place to chill with friends and the cups looked so cute and I didnโ€™t want to throw them away

Been here two times but never had time to review it. First time I went with Wai Ying So , we ordered a mango cheese milk tea and a melon cheese milk tea. Both were extremely delicious. Never thought cheese and milk tea would go so well together. The mango tasted too strong but the melon and the cheese went so well together. The second time I went, I got a berry cheese milk tea. It didn't taste as good as the melon or the mango but it still tasted nice. I would highly recommend trying the melon cheese milk tea if you've never had a cheese milk tea before!

Its such a cute little tea place situated on Broadway (v close to the theatre, so itโ€™d be a good idea to just pick up a drink from here before a movie - I do that a lot!). The interiors are very Instagram worthy and the drinks are pretty decent! I have tried all their cheese teas and my favorite is the mango cheese tea (must must try, itโ€™s the yummiest of all).

A bit too cheesy.

The tea itself is not bad. But I cant justify a $8.50 drink that tastes a bit too cheesy.

Most of the drinks have a cheesy taste. Probably prefer a more milky taste. Or change the name to cream.

Anyways, not bad but not great either. Will I be back? Maybe.

Service: 4.5/5
Drink quality: 3/5
Drink quantity: 3/5
Environment: 4/5
Presentation: 4/5
Price per person: $6-$10
